1 Yahweh, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine out.O Jehovah, thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, shine forth.여호와여, 보복하시는 하나님이여, 보복이 속한 하나님이여, 빛을 비추소서.
2 Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: Render to the proud their desert.땅을 심판하시는 분이여, 일어나소서. 교만한 자들에게 그들이 마땅히 받아야 할 것으로 갚으소서.
3 Yahweh, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?Jehovah, how long shall the wicked, How long shall the wicked triumph?여호와여, 악인이 언제까지, 악인이 언제까지 우쭐대겠습니까?
4 They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.They prate, they speak arrogantly: All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.그들은 오만한 말을 쏟아 냅니다. 악을 행하는 자들이 모두 으스댑니다.
5 They break your people in pieces, Yahweh, and afflict your heritage.They break in pieces thy people, O Jehovah, And afflict thy heritage.여호와여, 그들이 주의 백성을 짓밟고, 주의 유산을 괴롭힙니다.
6 They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.They slay the widow and the sojourner, And murder the fatherless.그들이 과부와 나그네를 죽이고, 고아를 살해합니다.
7 They say, “ Yah will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”And they say, Jehovah will not see, Neither will the God of Jacob consider.그들이 말하기를 "여호와께서 보지 않으시며, 야곱의 하나님께서 알아차리지 못하신다" 합니다.
8 Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?Consider, ye brutish among the people; And ye fools, when will ye be wise?백성 가운데 어리석은 자들아, 깨달으라. 미련한 자들아, 너희가 언제 지혜로워지겠느냐?
9 He who implanted the ear, won’t he hear? He who formed the eye, won’t he see?He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?귀를 심으신 분께서 듣지 못하시겠느냐? 눈을 지으신 분께서 보지 못하시겠느냐?
10 He who disciplines the nations, won’t he punish? He who teaches man knows.He that chastiseth the nations, shall not he correct, Even he that teacheth man knowledge?뭇 나라를 징계하시는 분께서 벌하지 않으시겠느냐? 사람에게 지식을 가르치시는 분께서 아신다.
11 Yahweh knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, That they are vanity.여호와께서는 사람의 생각이 헛되다는 것을 아십니다.
12 Blessed is the man whom you discipline, Yah, and teach out of your law,Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah, And teachest out of thy law;여호와여, 주께서 징계하시고 주의 율법으로 가르치시는 그 사람은 복이 있습니다.
13 that you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, Until the pit be digged for the wicked.그리하여 악인을 위해 구덩이가 파일 때까지, 주께서 그를 환난의 날에서 벗어나 쉬게 하십니다.
14 For Yahweh won’t reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.For Jehovah will not cast off his people, Neither will he forsake his inheritance.여호와께서는 자기 백성을 버리지 않으시며, 자기 유산을 떠나지 않으십니다.
15 For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it.For judgment shall return unto righteousness; And all the upright in heart shall follow it.심판이 의로 돌아갈 것이며, 마음이 정직한 모든 자가 그것을 따를 것입니다.
16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?누가 나를 위해 일어나 악인을 대적하겠습니까? 누가 나를 위해 일어서서 악을 행하는 자들을 막겠습니까?
17 Unless Yahweh had been my help, my soul would have soon lived in silence.Unless Jehovah had been my help, My soul had soon dwelt in silence.여호와께서 나의 도움이 되지 않으셨더라면, 내 영혼은 벌써 침묵 속에 거하였을 것입니다.
18 When I said, “ My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up.When I said, My foot slippeth; Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, held me up.내가 "내 발이 미끄러진다" 하였을 때, 여호와여, 주의 인자하심이 나를 붙드셨습니다.
19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul.내 속에 생각이 많을 때, 주의 위로가 내 영혼을 기쁘게 합니다.
20 Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with thee, Which frameth mischief by statute?율법을 빙자해 재앙을 꾸미는 악의 보좌가 주와 사귈 수 있겠습니까?
21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, And condemn the innocent blood.그들이 함께 모여 의인의 영혼을 치고, 무죄한 피를 정죄합니다.
22 But Yahweh has been my high tower, my God, the rock of my refuge.But Jehovah hath been my high tower, And my God the rock of my refuge.그러나 여호와께서는 나의 높은 망대가 되시고, 나의 하나님께서는 내 피난처의 반석이 되십니다.
23 He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. Yahweh, our God, will cut them off.And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity, And will cut them off in their own wickedness; Jehovah our God will cut them off.그분께서 그들의 죄악을 그들에게 돌리시고, 그들의 악으로 그들을 끊으실 것입니다. 우리 하나님 여호와께서 그들을 끊으실 것입니다.
