1 I cry with my voice to Yahweh. With my voice, I ask Yahweh for mercy.I cry with my voice unto Jehovah; With my voice unto Jehovah do I make supplication.다윗이 동굴에 있을 때 지은 마스킬(묵상의 노래), 곧 기도다. 나는 내 목소리로 여호와께 부르짖습니다. 내 목소리로 여호와께 긍휼을 구합니다.
2 I pour out my complaint before him. I tell him my troubles.I pour out my complaint before him; I show before him my trouble.나는 그분 앞에 내 탄식을 쏟아 놓습니다. 그분께 내 괴로움을 아룁니다.

In the way wherein I walk Have they hidden a snare for me.내 영이 내 안에서 무너질 때에도 주께서는 내 길을 아셨습니다. 내가 걷는 그 길에 그들이 나를 잡으려고 덫을 숨겨 놓았습니다.
4 Look on my right, and see; for there is no one who is concerned for me. Refuge has fled from me. No one cares for my soul.Look on my right hand, and see; For there is no man that knoweth me: Refuge hath failed me; No man careth for my soul.내 오른쪽을 보십시오. 살펴보십시오. 나를 돌보아 주는 사람이 아무도 없습니다. 피할 곳이 내게서 사라졌고, 내 영혼을 돌보는 이가 아무도 없습니다.
5 I cried to you, Yahweh. I said, “ You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”I cried unto thee, O Jehovah; I said, Thou art my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.여호와여, 내가 주께 부르짖었습니다. 내가 말했습니다. "주는 나의 피난처시요, 산 사람들의 땅에서 나의 몫이십니다."
6 Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.Attend unto my cry; For I am brought very low: Deliver me from my persecutors; For they are stronger than I.내 부르짖음에 귀 기울여 주십시오. 나는 절박한 처지에 빠졌습니다. 나를 핍박하는 자들에게서 나를 건져 주십시오. 그들이 나보다 강하기 때문입니다.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. The righteous will surround me, for you will be good to me.Bring my soul out of prison, That I may give thanks unto thy name: The righteous shall compass me about; For thou wilt deal bountifully with me.내 영혼을 감옥에서 이끌어 내 주셔서 내가 주의 이름에 감사드리게 하십시오. 주께서 내게 선을 베푸실 것이므로, 의인들이 나를 둘러쌀 것입니다.
