1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?지휘자를 위하여, "새벽의 암사슴"이라는 곡조에 맞춘 다윗의 시. 나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리셨습니까? 어찌하여 나를 돕지 않고 멀리 계시며, 내가 신음하는 소리를 외면하십니까?
2 My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not; And in the night season, and am not silent.나의 하나님, 내가 낮에 부르짖어도 주님은 응답하지 않으시고, 밤에도 부르짖으나 나는 잠잠할 수 없습니다.
3 But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.그러나 주님은 거룩하시며, 이스라엘의 찬송 가운데 좌정하신 분이십니다.
4 Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them.Our fathers trusted in thee: They trusted, and thou didst deliver them.우리 조상들은 주님을 신뢰했습니다. 그들이 신뢰하니 주님께서 그들을 건지셨습니다.
5 They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not put to shame.그들이 주님께 부르짖어 구원을 받았고, 주님을 신뢰하여 수치를 당하지 않았습니다.
6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.그러나 나는 벌레요 사람이 아니며, 사람들에게 비방거리가 되고 백성에게 멸시를 받습니다.
7 All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,All they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,나를 보는 자마다 나를 비웃으며, 입술을 비쭉거리고 머리를 흔들며 말합니다.
8 “ He trusts in Yahweh. Let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”Commit thyself unto Jehovah; let him deliver him: Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him."그가 여호와를 신뢰하니, 여호와께서 그를 건지시겠지. 여호와께서 그를 기뻐하시니, 그를 구원하시라고 하라."
9 But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother’s breasts.But thou art he that took me out of the womb; Thou didst make me trust when I was upon my mother’s breasts.그러나 주님은 나를 모태에서 나오게 하신 분이며, 어머니의 품에서부터 주님을 신뢰하게 하셨습니다.
10 I was thrown on you from my mother’s womb. You are my God since my mother bore me.I was cast upon thee from the womb; Thou art my God since my mother bare me.나는 태어날 때부터 주님께 맡겨졌으며, 어머니가 나를 낳은 때부터 주님은 나의 하나님이십니다.
11 Don’t be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is no one to help.Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help.나를 멀리하지 마십시오. 환난이 가까이 있으나 도울 자가 없습니다.
12 Many bulls have surrounded me. Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.많은 황소들이 나를 둘러쌌고, 바산의 힘센 황소들이 나를 에워쌌습니다.
13 They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.They gape upon me with their mouth, As a ravening and a roaring lion.그들이 나를 향해 입을 크게 벌리니, 마치 먹이를 찢으며 으르렁대는 사자와 같습니다.
14 I am poured out like water. All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It is melted within me.I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.나는 물처럼 쏟아졌고, 내 모든 뼈는 어그러졌으며, 내 마음은 밀초같이 되어 속에서 녹았습니다.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have brought me into the dust of death.My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.내 힘은 질그릇 조각처럼 말랐고, 내 혀는 입천장에 붙었으니, 주님께서 나를 죽음의 흙으로 끌어내리셨습니다.
16 For dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and feet.For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil-doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.개들이 나를 둘러쌌고, 악을 행하는 무리가 나를 에워쌌으며, 그들이 내 손과 발을 찔렀습니다.
17 I can count all of my bones. They look and stare at me.I may count all my bones. They look and stare upon me;내가 내 모든 뼈를 셀 수 있게 되었는데, 그들은 나를 보고 빤히 쳐다봅니다.
18 They divide my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing.They part my garments among them, And upon my vesture do they cast lots.그들이 내 겉옷을 서로 나누고, 내 속옷을 두고 제비를 뽑습니다.
19 But don’t be far off, Yahweh. You are my help. Hurry to help me!But be not thou far off, O Jehovah: O thou my succor, haste thee to help me.그러나 여호와여, 멀리 계시지 마십시오. 나의 힘이 되시는 주님, 서둘러 나를 도우십시오.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog.Deliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog.내 영혼을 칼에서 건지시고, 내 소중한 생명을 개의 세력에서 구하소서.
21 Save me from the lion’s mouth! Yes, you have rescued me from the horns of the wild oxen.Save me from the lion’s mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen thou hast answered me.사자의 입에서 나를 구원하소서! 들소의 뿔에서도 주님께서 내게 응답하셨습니다.
22 I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you.I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.내가 주님의 이름을 내 형제들에게 전하며, 회중 가운데서 주님을 찬양하겠습니다.
23 You who fear Yahweh, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel!Ye that fear Jehovah, praise him; All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; And stand in awe of him, all ye the seed of Israel.여호와를 경외하는 너희여, 주님을 찬양하라! 야곱의 모든 자손이여, 주님을 영화롭게 하라! 이스라엘의 모든 자손이여, 주님 앞에 경외함으로 서라!
24 For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.주님은 고난당하는 자의 고통을 멸시하거나 싫어하지 않으셨고, 그에게서 얼굴을 숨기지 않으셨으며, 그가 부르짖을 때에 들으셨습니다.
25 My praise of you comes in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him.Of thee cometh my praise in the great assembly: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.큰 회중 가운데서 드리는 나의 찬송은 주님께로부터 나옵니다. 내가 주님을 경외하는 자들 앞에서 나의 서원을 갚겠습니다.
26 The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise Yahweh who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.The meek shall eat and be satisfied; They shall praise Jehovah that seek after him: Let your heart live for ever.겸손한 자들이 먹고 만족할 것이며, 여호와를 찾는 자들이 주님을 찬양할 것입니다. 너희 마음이 영원히 살기를 바랍니다.
27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to Yahweh. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah; And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.땅의 모든 끝이 여호와를 기억하고 주님께 돌아올 것이며, 이방 민족들의 모든 족속이 주님 앞에 경배할 것입니다.
28 For the kingdom is Yahweh’s. He is the ruler over the nations.For the kingdom is Jehovah’s; And he is the ruler over the nations.나라가 여호와의 것이며, 주님은 이방 민족들을 다스리는 통치자이십니다.
29 All the rich ones of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he who can’t keep his soul alive.All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, Even he that cannot keep his soul alive.땅의 모든 부유한 자들이 먹고 경배할 것이며, 흙으로 내려가는 모든 자, 곧 자기 영혼을 살릴 수 없는 자도 주님 앞에 엎드릴 것입니다.
30 Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about the Lord.A seed shall serve him; It shall be told of the Lord unto the next generation.후손이 주님을 섬길 것이며, 다음 세대에게 주에 대하여 전해질 것입니다.
31 They shall come and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, for he has done it.They shall come and shall declare his righteousness Unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done it.그들이 와서, 앞으로 태어날 백성에게 주님의 의를 전할 것이니, 주님께서 이를 이루셨기 때문입니다.
