1 Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God’s loving kindness endures continually.Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God endureth continually.지휘자를 위한 노래. 다윗의 묵상시. 에돔 사람 도엑이 사울에게 가서 "다윗이 아히멜렉의 집에 왔습니다"라고 일러바쳤을 때 지은 것입니다. 강한 자여, 어찌하여 네가 악행을 자랑하느냐? 하나님의 인자하심은 끊임없이 이어진다.
2 Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.Thy tongue deviseth very wickedness, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.네 혀는 멸망을 꾀하니, 날카로운 면도칼처럼 속임수로 일을 꾸미는구나.
3 You love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking the truth. Selah.Thou lovest evil more than good, And lying rather than to speak righteousness. [Selah너는 선보다 악을 더 사랑하고, 진실을 말하기보다 거짓말하기를 더 좋아하는구나. (셀라)
4 You love all devouring words, you deceitful tongue.Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.너 속이는 혀여, 너는 사람을 삼키는 온갖 말을 사랑하는구나.
5 God will likewise destroy you forever. He will take you up, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.God will likewise destroy thee for ever; He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, And root thee out of the land of the living. [ Selah하나님께서도 너를 영원히 멸하시리라. 너를 붙잡아 네 장막에서 뽑아내시고, 살아 있는 자들의 땅에서 네 뿌리를 뽑아내시리라. (셀라)
6 The righteous also will see it, and fear, and laugh at him, saying,The righteous also shall see it, and fear, And shall laugh at him, saying,의로운 사람들도 그것을 보고 두려워하며, 그를 보고 비웃으며 말하리라.
7 “Behold, this is the man who didn’t make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.”Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness."보라, 이 사람은 하나님을 자기 힘으로 삼지 않고, 자기 재물이 많음을 의지하며, 자기의 악함으로 스스로를 강하게 한 자로다."
8 But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in God’s house. I trust in God’s loving kindness forever and ever.But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.그러나 나는 하나님의 집에 있는 푸른 올리브 나무 같으니, 영원무궁토록 하나님의 인자하심을 의지하노라.
9 I will give you thanks forever, because you have done it. I will hope in your name, for it is good, in the presence of your saints.I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it; And I will hope in thy name, for it is good, in the presence of thy saints.주께서 이 일을 이루셨으니 내가 영원히 주께 감사하며, 주의 성도들 앞에서 주의 이름이 선하므로 그 이름에 소망을 두리이다.
