1 Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. Oh, deliver me from deceitful and wicked men.Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.하나님, 나의 억울함을 풀어 주시고 경건하지 못한 민족을 상대로 내 사정을 변호해 주십시오. 속이고 악한 사람들에게서 나를 건져 주십시오.
2 For you are the God of my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?For thou art the God of my strength; why hast thou cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?주께서는 나의 힘이 되시는 하나님이십니다. 그런데 어찌하여 나를 버리셨습니까? 어찌하여 내가 원수의 억압 때문에 슬퍼하며 다녀야 합니까?
3 Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill, to your tents.Oh send out thy light and thy truth; let them lead me: Let them bring me unto thy holy hill, And to thy tabernacles.주의 빛과 주의 진리를 보내 주십시오. 그것들이 나를 인도하게 하시고, 주의 거룩한 산, 주께서 계신 곳으로 나를 데려가게 하십시오.
4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.Then will I go unto the altar of God, Unto God my exceeding joy; And upon the harp will I praise thee, O God, my God.그러면 내가 하나님의 제단으로, 곧 나의 더없는 기쁨이 되시는 하나님께로 나아가겠습니다. 하나님, 나의 하나님이여, 내가 수금을 타며 주를 찬양하겠습니다.
5 Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God.Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him, Who is the help of my countenance, and my God.내 영혼아, 어찌하여 네가 낙심하느냐? 어찌하여 내 속에서 불안해하느냐? 하나님을 바라라! 나의 구원이시며 나의 도움이시며 나의 하나님이신 그분을 내가 여전히 찬양하리라.
