1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.지극히 높으신 분의 은밀한 곳에 거하는 사람은 전능하신 분의 그늘 아래서 쉴 것입니다.
2 I will say of Yahweh, “ He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust.나는 여호와를 두고 말하겠습니다. "그분은 나의 피난처요 나의 요새시며, 내가 신뢰하는 나의 하나님이십니다."
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.그분께서 사냥꾼의 올무에서, 그리고 치명적인 전염병에서 당신을 건져 주실 것이기 때문입니다.
4 He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.그분께서 자기 깃털로 당신을 덮어 주시리니, 당신은 그분의 날개 아래로 피할 것입니다. 그분의 신실하심이 당신의 방패요 성벽입니다.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day;당신은 밤의 두려움도, 낮에 날아드는 화살도 무서워하지 않을 것입니다.
6 nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.어둠 속에 돌아다니는 전염병도, 한낮에 황폐하게 하는 멸망도 두려워하지 않을 것입니다.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee.천 명이 당신 곁에서, 만 명이 당신 오른쪽에서 쓰러질지라도, 그 재앙이 당신에게는 가까이 오지 못할 것입니다.
8 You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked.Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, And see the reward of the wicked.당신은 다만 두 눈으로 바라보며, 악인들이 받는 보응을 볼 것입니다.
9 Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,For thou, O Jehovah, art my refuge! Thou hast made the Most High thy habitation;당신이 여호와를 당신의 피난처로, 지극히 높으신 분을 당신의 거처로 삼았으므로,
10 no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.어떤 재앙도 당신에게 닥치지 않을 것이며, 어떤 질병도 당신의 거처에 가까이 오지 못할 것입니다.
11 For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.For he will give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways.그분께서 당신의 모든 길에서 당신을 지키시도록 자기 천사들에게 당신을 맡기실 것이기 때문입니다.
12 They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone.They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.천사들이 그들의 손으로 당신을 떠받쳐서, 당신의 발이 돌에 부딪히지 않게 할 것입니다.
13 You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under foot.당신은 사자와 독사를 밟고, 젊은 사자와 뱀을 발로 짓밟을 것입니다.
14 “ Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name."그가 나를 사랑하기로 작정하였으니, 그러므로 내가 그를 건져 내겠다. 그가 내 이름을 알았으므로, 내가 그를 높이 들어 올리겠다.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him.그가 나를 부르면, 내가 그에게 응답하겠다. 그가 환난 중에 있을 때 내가 그와 함께하겠다. 내가 그를 건져 내고 그를 영화롭게 하겠다.
16 I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.”With long life will I satisfy him, And show him my salvation.내가 긴 수명으로 그를 만족하게 하고, 내 구원을 그에게 보여 주겠다."
