1 Yahweh, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me.Jehovah, how are mine adversaries increased! Many are they that rise up against me.다윗이 그의 아들 압살롬에게서 도망할 때 지은 시. 여호와여, 나의 대적이 어찌 이리도 많아졌습니까! 나를 치려고 일어서는 자들이 많습니다.
2 Many there are who say of my soul, “ There is no help for him in God.” Selah.Many there are that say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. [Selah많은 사람이 내 영혼을 두고 말하기를 "그에게는 하나님께도 도움이 없다" 합니다. (셀라)
3 But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.But thou, O Jehovah, art a shield about me; My glory, and the lifter up of my head.그러나 여호와여, 주는 나를 두르신 방패시요, 나의 영광이시며, 내 머리를 들어 주시는 분이십니다.
4 I cry to Yahweh with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.I cry unto Jehovah with my voice, And he answereth me out of his holy hill. [Selah내가 소리 내어 여호와께 부르짖으니, 그분이 그 거룩한 산에서 내게 응답하십니다. (셀라)
5 I laid myself down and slept. I awakened, for Yahweh sustains me.I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for Jehovah sustaineth me.내가 누워 잠들었다가 다시 깨어났으니, 여호와께서 나를 붙들어 주시기 때문입니다.
6 I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people That have set themselves against me round about.사방에서 나를 치려고 진을 친 수만 명의 백성이라도 나는 두려워하지 않겠습니다.
7 Arise, Yahweh! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.Arise, O Jehovah; save me, O my God: For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.여호와여, 일어나소서! 나의 하나님이여, 나를 구원하소서! 주께서 내 모든 원수의 뺨을 치시고, 악인들의 이를 꺾으셨습니다.
