1 In Yahweh, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, “ Flee as a bird to your mountain”?In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain;지휘자를 위하여. 다윗의 시. 내가 여호와께 피합니다. 그런데 너희가 어떻게 내 영혼에게 "새처럼 너의 산으로 도망쳐라" 하고 말하느냐?
2 For, behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;보라, 악인들이 활을 당기는구나. 그들은 마음이 정직한 사람을 어둠 속에서 쏘려고 화살을 시위에 메긴다.
3 If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous do?기초가 무너지면 의인이 무엇을 할 수 있겠느냐?
4 Yahweh is in his holy temple. Yahweh is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.Jehovah is in his holy temple; Jehovah, his throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.여호와께서는 그분의 거룩한 성전에 계신다. 여호와께서는 하늘 그분의 보좌에 계신다. 그분의 눈이 살피시고, 그분의 눈이 사람의 자손들을 시험하신다.
5 Yahweh examines the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and him who loves violence.Jehovah trieth the righteous; But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.여호와께서는 의인을 살피시지만, 악인과 폭력을 사랑하는 자는 그분의 영혼이 미워하신다.
6 On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.그분은 악인들 위에 타오르는 숯불을 비처럼 내리실 것이니, 불과 유황과 태우는 바람이 그들의 잔에 담긴 몫이 될 것이다.
7 For Yahweh is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.For Jehovah is righteous; he loveth righteousness: The upright shall behold his face.여호와께서는 의로우시기 때문이다. 그분은 의를 사랑하신다. 정직한 사람들은 그분의 얼굴을 뵙게 될 것이다.
