1 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever.여호와께 감사하라. 그분은 선하시며 그분의 인자하심은 영원히 지속된다.
2 Let the redeemed by Yahweh say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary,Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary,여호와께서 구속하신 자들, 곧 대적의 손에서 그분이 건져 내신 자들은 그렇게 말하라.
3 and gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.그분은 그들을 여러 땅에서, 곧 동쪽과 서쪽에서, 북쪽과 남쪽에서 모으셨다.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way. They found no city to live in.They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; They found no city of habitation.그들은 광야의 사막 길에서 헤매며 살 만한 성읍을 찾지 못했다.

6 Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses,그때 그들이 환난 중에 여호와께 부르짖으니, 그분이 그들을 고통에서 건져 내셨다.
7 He led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city to live in.He led them also by a straight way, That they might go to a city of habitation.또 그들이 살 만한 성읍으로 갈 수 있도록 그분이 그들을 곧은 길로 인도하셨다.
8 Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!그들은 여호와의 인자하심과 사람의 자녀들에게 베푸신 놀라운 일들로 인해 그분을 찬양할지어다!
9 For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good.For he satisfieth the longing soul, And the hungry soul he filleth with good.그분은 갈망하는 영혼을 만족시키시고 주린 영혼을 좋은 것으로 채우신다.
10 Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron,어떤 이들은 흑암과 죽음의 그늘에 앉아 고난과 쇠사슬에 매여 있었으니,
11 because they rebelled against the words of God, and condemned the counsel of the Most High.Because they rebelled against the words of God, And contemned the counsel of the Most High:이는 그들이 하나님의 말씀을 거역하고 지극히 높으신 분의 뜻을 멸시했기 때문이다.
12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labor. They fell down, and there was no one to help.Therefore he brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help.그러므로 그분은 고된 일로 그들의 마음을 낮추셨고, 그들이 쓰러졌으나 도울 자가 없었다.
13 Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses.그때 그들이 환난 중에 여호와께 부르짖으니, 그분이 그들을 고통에서 구원하셨다.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke away their chains.He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bonds in sunder.그분은 그들을 흑암과 죽음의 그늘에서 이끌어 내시고 그들의 결박을 끊어 버리셨다.
15 Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!그들은 여호와의 인자하심과 사람의 자녀들에게 베푸신 놀라운 일들로 인해 그분을 찬양할지어다!
16 For he has broken the gates of bronze, and cut through bars of iron.For he hath broken the gates of brass, And cut the bars of iron in sunder.그분은 놋쇠 문을 부수시고 쇠 빗장을 잘라 내셨다.
17 Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted.어리석은 자들은 그들의 불순종 때문에, 또 그들의 죄악 때문에 고난을 당한다.
18 Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death.Their soul abhorreth all manner of food; And they draw near unto the gates of death.그들의 영혼은 온갖 음식을 싫어하여 죽음의 문에 가까이 이르렀다.
19 Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saveth them out of their distresses.그때 그들이 환난 중에 여호와께 부르짖으니, 그분이 그들을 고통에서 구원하신다.
20 He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.He sendeth his word, and healeth them, And delivereth them from their destructions.그분은 자기 말씀을 보내어 그들을 고치시고 그들을 무덤에서 건져 내신다.
21 Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!그들은 여호와의 인자하심과 사람의 자녀들에게 베푸신 놀라운 일들로 인해 그분을 찬양할지어다!
22 Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his deeds with singing.And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with singing.그들은 감사의 제사를 드리며 노래로 그분의 행하신 일들을 선포할지어다.
23 Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters,They that go down to the sea in ships, That do business in great waters;배를 타고 바다로 내려가 큰 물에서 일하는 자들,
24 these see Yahweh’s deeds, and his wonders in the deep.These see the works of Jehovah, And his wonders in the deep.이들은 여호와의 행하신 일들과 깊은 바다에서 베푸신 기이한 일들을 본다.
25 For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves.For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, Which lifteth up the waves thereof.그분이 명령하시면 폭풍이 일어나 그 물결을 높이 들어 올린다.
26 They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble.They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths: Their soul melteth away because of trouble.그들은 하늘까지 솟아올랐다가 다시 깊은 곳으로 내려가니, 그 영혼이 환난으로 녹아내린다.
27 They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits’ end.그들이 술 취한 사람처럼 이리저리 비틀거리며 그 모든 지혜가 바닥난다.
28 Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress.Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he bringeth them out of their distresses.그때 그들이 환난 중에 여호와께 부르짖으니, 그분이 그들을 고통에서 이끌어 내신다.
29 He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.He maketh the storm a calm, So that the waves thereof are still.그분이 폭풍을 잔잔하게 하시니 그 물결이 고요해진다.
30 Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.Then are they glad because they are quiet; So he bringeth them unto their desired haven.잔잔해지므로 그들이 기뻐하니, 그분이 그들이 바라던 항구로 그들을 인도하신다.
31 Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds for the children of men!Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!그들은 여호와의 인자하심과 사람의 자녀들에게 베푸신 놀라운 일들로 인해 그분을 찬양할지어다!
32 Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, And praise him in the seat of the elders.그들은 백성의 모임 가운데서 그분을 높이며 장로들의 자리에서 그분을 찬양할지어다.
33 He turns rivers into a desert, water springs into a thirsty ground,He turneth rivers into a wilderness, And watersprings into a thirsty ground;그분은 강을 사막으로, 샘 솟는 곳을 메마른 땅으로 바꾸시고,
34 and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.A fruitful land into a salt desert, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein.비옥한 땅을 그곳에 사는 자들의 악함 때문에 소금 황무지로 바꾸신다.
35 He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs.He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, And a dry land into watersprings.그분은 사막을 못으로, 마른 땅을 샘 솟는 곳으로 바꾸신다.
36 There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, That they may prepare a city of habitation,거기에 그분은 주린 자들을 살게 하시어 그들이 살 만한 성읍을 세우게 하시고,
37 sow fields, plant vineyards, and reap the fruits of increase.And sow fields, and plant vineyards, And get them fruits of increase.밭에 씨를 뿌리고 포도원을 가꾸어 풍성한 소출을 거두게 하신다.
38 He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; And he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.또 그분이 그들에게 복을 주시니 그들이 크게 번성하고, 그분은 그들의 가축이 줄어들지 않게 하신다.
39 Again, they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.Again, they are diminished and bowed down Through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.그러나 그들이 압제와 환난과 슬픔으로 인해 줄어들고 비천해지기도 한다.
40 He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.He poureth contempt upon princes, And causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.그분은 고관들에게 멸시를 쏟으시고 길 없는 황무지에서 헤매게 하신다.
41 Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock.Yet setteth he the needy on high from affliction, And maketh him families like a flock.그러나 그분은 궁핍한 자를 그 고난에서 일으키시고 그들의 가족을 양 떼처럼 늘리신다.
42 The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.The upright shall see it, and be glad; And all iniquity shall stop her mouth.정직한 자들은 이를 보고 기뻐하며, 모든 악한 자는 그 입을 다물 것이다.
43 Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of Yahweh.Whoso is wise will give heed to these things; And they will consider the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah.누구든지 지혜로운 자는 이 일들을 마음에 두고 여호와의 인자하심을 깊이 생각할 것이다.
