1 Hear my prayer, Yahweh! Let my cry come to you.Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, And let my cry come unto thee.고난당하는 사람이 기력을 잃고 여호와 앞에 자기 탄식을 쏟아 놓을 때 드리는 기도. 여호와여, 내 기도를 들으소서! 나의 부르짖음이 주께 이르게 하소서.
2 Don’t hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear to me. Answer me quickly in the day when I call.Hide not thy face from me in the day of my distress: Incline thine ear unto me; In the day when I call answer me speedily.내가 고난당하는 날에 주의 얼굴을 내게서 숨기지 마소서. 주의 귀를 내게 기울이소서. 내가 부르짖는 날에 속히 응답하소서.
3 For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a torch.For my days consume away like smoke, And my bones are burned as a firebrand.내 날들이 연기처럼 사라지고, 내 뼈가 횃불처럼 타 버렸습니다.
4 My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, for I forget to eat my bread.My heart is smitten like grass, and withered; For I forget to eat my bread.내 마음이 풀처럼 시들어 말라 버려, 내가 음식 먹기조차 잊었습니다.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones stick to my skin.By reason of the voice of my groaning My bones cleave to my flesh.내가 탄식하는 소리 때문에 내 뼈가 살갗에 붙었습니다.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness. I have become as an owl of the waste places.I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places.나는 광야의 사다새 같고, 황폐한 곳의 부엉이같이 되었습니다.
7 I watch, and have become like a sparrow that is alone on the housetop.I watch, and am become like a sparrow That is alone upon the house-top.내가 깨어 있으니, 지붕 위에 홀로 앉은 참새같이 되었습니다.
8 My enemies reproach me all day. Those who are mad at me use my name as a curse.Mine enemies reproach me all the day; They that are mad against me do curse by me.내 원수들이 온종일 나를 비방하고, 나에게 미쳐 날뛰는 자들이 내 이름을 저줏거리로 삼습니다.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mixed my drink with tears,For I have eaten ashes like bread, And mingled my drink with weeping,이는 내가 재를 음식처럼 먹고, 내 마실 것을 눈물과 섞었기 때문입니다.
10 because of your indignation and your wrath; for you have taken me up and thrown me away.Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: For thou hast taken me up, and cast me away.이는 주의 분노와 진노 때문이니, 주께서 나를 들어 올리셨다가 던져 버리셨습니다.
11 My days are like a long shadow. I have withered like grass.My days are like a shadow that declineth; And I am withered like grass.내 날들이 기울어 가는 긴 그림자 같고, 나는 풀처럼 시들었습니다.
12 But you, Yahweh, will remain forever; your renown endures to all generations.But thou, O Jehovah, wilt abide for ever; And thy memorial name unto all generations.그러나 여호와여, 주는 영원히 계시며, 주의 이름은 대대에 이르도록 남아 있습니다.
13 You will arise and have mercy on Zion, for it is time to have pity on her. Yes, the set time has come.Thou wilt arise, and have mercy upon Zion; For it is time to have pity upon her, Yea, the set time is come.주께서 일어나 시온에 긍휼을 베푸시리니, 이는 시온을 불쌍히 여기실 때이기 때문입니다. 참으로 정하신 때가 이르렀습니다.
14 For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and have pity on her dust.For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, And have pity upon her dust.주의 종들이 시온의 돌들을 즐거워하고, 그 티끌까지도 불쌍히 여깁니다.
15 So the nations will fear Yahweh’s name, all the kings of the earth your glory.So the nations shall fear the name of Jehovah, And all the kings of the earth thy glory.그리하여 뭇 나라가 여호와의 이름을 두려워하고, 땅의 모든 왕이 주의 영광을 경외할 것입니다.
16 For Yahweh has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.For Jehovah hath built up Zion; He hath appeared in his glory.이는 여호와께서 시온을 세우시고, 그분의 영광 가운데 나타나셨기 때문입니다.
17 He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, And hath not despised their prayer.주께서 빈궁한 자의 기도에 응답하시고, 그들의 기도를 멸시하지 않으셨습니다.
18 This will be written for the generation to come. A people which will be created will praise Yah,This shall be written for the generation to come; And a people which shall be created shall praise Jehovah.이 일이 다가오는 세대를 위하여 기록될 것이니, 장차 지음 받을 백성이 여호와를 찬양할 것입니다.
19 for he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven, Yahweh saw the earth,For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; From heaven did Jehovah behold the earth;이는 주께서 그분의 높은 성소에서 굽어보시고, 여호와께서 하늘에서 땅을 살피셨기 때문입니다.
20 to hear the groans of the prisoner, to free those who are condemned to death,To hear the sighing of the prisoner; To loose those that are appointed to death;이는 갇힌 자의 신음을 들으시고, 죽기로 정해진 자들을 풀어 주시려는 것입니다.
21 that men may declare Yahweh’s name in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem,That men may declare the name of Jehovah in Zion, And his praise in Jerusalem;그리하여 사람들이 시온에서 여호와의 이름을, 예루살렘에서 그분의 찬양을 선포하게 하려는 것입니다.
22 when the peoples are gathered together, the kingdoms, to serve Yahweh.When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve Jehovah.백성들이 함께 모이고, 뭇 나라가 모여 여호와를 섬길 때에 그러할 것입니다.
23 He weakened my strength along the course. He shortened my days.He weakened my strength in the way; He shortened my days.주께서 가는 길에서 내 힘을 약하게 하시고, 내 날들을 짧게 하셨습니다.
24 I said, “ My God, don’t take me away in the middle of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: Thy years are throughout all generations.내가 아뢰었습니다. "나의 하나님, 내 생애의 한가운데서 나를 데려가지 마소서. 주의 햇수는 대대에 이르도록 영원합니다.
25 Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.Of old didst thou lay the foundation of the earth; And the heavens are the work of thy hands.옛적에 주께서 땅의 기초를 놓으셨고, 하늘도 주의 손으로 지으신 것입니다.
26 They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.They shall perish, but thou shalt endure; Yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; As a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:그것들은 멸망하겠으나 주는 영존하시리니, 참으로 그것들은 다 옷같이 낡아질 것입니다. 주께서 그것들을 겉옷처럼 갈아입히시면, 그것들이 변할 것입니다.
27 But you are the same. Your years will have no end.But thou art the same, And thy years shall have no end.그러나 주는 한결같으시며, 주의 햇수는 끝이 없을 것입니다.
28 The children of your servants will continue. Their offspring will be established before you.”The children of thy servants shall continue, And their seed shall be established before thee.주의 종들의 자손이 이어지고, 그들의 후손이 주 앞에 굳게 설 것입니다."
