1 Help, Yahweh; for the godly man ceases. For the faithful fail from among the children of men.Help, Jehovah; for the godly man ceaseth; For the faithful fail from among the children of men.성가대 지휘자를 위하여. 여덟 줄 수금에 맞춘 다윗의 시. 여호와여, 도와주십시오. 경건한 사람이 사라지고, 신실한 이들이 사람들 가운데서 끊어졌습니다.
2 Everyone lies to his neighbor. They speak with flattering lips, and with a double heart.They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor: With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.사람마다 이웃에게 거짓말을 합니다. 아첨하는 입술과 두 마음으로 말합니다.
3 May Yahweh cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts,Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaketh great things;여호와께서 모든 아첨하는 입술과 교만하게 자랑하는 혀를 끊어 주시기를 바랍니다.
4 who have said, “ With our tongue we will prevail. Our lips are our own. Who is lord over us?”Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?그들은 말합니다. "우리는 혀로 이길 것이다. 우리 입술은 우리 것이니, 누가 우리를 다스리는 주인이란 말인가?"
5 “Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says Yahweh; “I will set him in safety from those who malign him.”Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; I will set him in the safety he panteth for.여호와께서 말씀하십니다. "약한 자가 짓밟히고 가난한 자가 신음하므로, 이제 내가 일어나 그를 비방하는 자들에게서 안전하게 지켜 주겠다."
6 Yahweh’s words are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times.The words of Jehovah are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, Purified seven times.여호와의 말씀은 흠 없는 말씀입니다. 흙 가마에서 정련하고 일곱 번 제련한 순은과 같습니다.
7 You will keep them, Yahweh. You will preserve them from this generation forever.Thou wilt keep them, O Jehovah, Thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.여호와여, 주께서 그들을 지키시고, 이 세대로부터 영원히 보전하실 것입니다.
