1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place for all generations.Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place In all generations.하나님의 사람 모세의 기도. 주여, 주께서는 대대로 우리의 거처가 되어 오셨습니다.
2 Before the mountains were born, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.산들이 솟아나기 전에, 주께서 땅과 세계를 지으시기 전에, 영원부터 영원까지 주는 하나님이십니다.
3 You turn man to destruction, saying, “ Return, you children of men.”Thou turnest man to destruction, And sayest, Return, ye children of men.주께서는 사람을 티끌로 돌아가게 하시며 "사람의 자녀들아, 돌아가라" 하고 말씀하십니다.
4 For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past, like a watch in the night.For a thousand years in thy sight Are but as yesterday when it is past, And as a watch in the night.주의 눈에는 천 년도 지나간 어제 같고, 밤의 한 경점과 같을 뿐입니다.
5 You sweep them away as they sleep. In the morning they sprout like new grass.Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: In the morning they are like grass which groweth up.주께서 그들을 잠자듯 쓸어 가시니, 그들은 아침에 돋아나는 새 풀과 같습니다.
6 In the morning it sprouts and springs up. By evening, it is withered and dry.In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; In the evening it is cut down, and withereth.풀은 아침에 돋아나 자라지만, 저녁이 되면 시들어 마릅니다.
7 For we are consumed in your anger. We are troubled in your wrath.For we are consumed in thine anger, And in thy wrath are we troubled.우리는 주의 노여움에 소멸되고, 주의 진노에 놀라 떨고 있습니다.
8 You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.주께서 우리의 죄악을 주 앞에 두시고, 우리의 은밀한 죄들을 주의 얼굴 빛 가운데 드러내셨습니다.
9 For all our days have passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh.For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: We bring our years to an end as a sigh.우리의 모든 날이 주의 진노 가운데 지나가 버렸으니, 우리는 한숨처럼 우리의 햇수를 마칩니다.
10 The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it passes quickly, and we fly away.The days of our years are threescore years and ten, Or even by reason of strength fourscore years; Yet is their pride but labor and sorrow; For it is soon gone, and we fly away.우리 햇수의 날들은 칠십 년이요, 강건하면 팔십 년이지만, 그 자랑은 수고와 슬픔뿐이며, 빠르게 지나가니 우리는 날아가 버립니다.
11 Who knows the power of your anger, your wrath according to the fear that is due to you?Who knoweth the power of thine anger, And thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto thee?누가 주의 노여움의 능력을 알겠으며, 주께 마땅히 드릴 두려움만큼 주의 진노를 알겠습니까?
12 So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.So teach us to number our days, That we may get us a heart of wisdom.그러므로 우리에게 우리의 날을 세는 법을 가르치셔서, 우리가 지혜로운 마음을 얻게 하소서.
13 Relent, Yahweh! How long? Have compassion on your servants!Return, O Jehovah; how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants.여호와여, 돌이키소서! 언제까지입니까? 주의 종들을 불쌍히 여기소서!
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.Oh satisfy us in the morning with thy lovingkindness, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days.아침에 주의 인자하심으로 우리를 만족하게 하셔서, 우리가 평생 즐거워하고 기뻐하게 하소서.
15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen evil.Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, And the years wherein we have seen evil.주께서 우리를 괴롭게 하신 날수만큼, 우리가 재앙을 본 햇수만큼 우리를 기쁘게 하소서.
16 Let your work appear to your servants, your glory to their children.Let thy work appear unto thy servants, And thy glory upon their children.주의 일을 주의 종들에게 나타내시고, 주의 영광을 그들의 자녀에게 나타내소서.
17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands.And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And establish thou the work of our hands upon us; Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.주 우리 하나님의 은총을 우리에게 내리셔서, 우리 손이 하는 일을 우리를 위해 굳게 세우소서. 참으로 우리 손이 하는 일을 굳게 세우소서.
