1 Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments.Praise ye Jehovah. Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, That delighteth greatly in his commandments.여호와를 찬양하라! 여호와를 경외하며 그분의 계명을 크게 기뻐하는 사람은 복이 있다.
2 His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed.그의 자손은 이 땅에서 강성하게 되고, 정직한 사람의 세대는 복을 받을 것이다.
3 Wealth and riches are in his house. His righteousness endures forever.Wealth and riches are in his house; And his righteousness endureth for ever.그의 집에는 부와 재물이 있으며, 그의 의는 영원히 지속된다.
4 Light dawns in the darkness for the upright, gracious, merciful, and righteous.Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: He is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.정직한 사람에게는 어둠 속에서도 빛이 비치니, 그는 은혜롭고 긍휼이 많으며 의롭다.
5 It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment.Well is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth; He shall maintain his cause in judgment.은혜롭게 베풀고 꾸어 주는 사람은 잘되니, 그는 재판 중에도 자기 일을 지켜 낼 것이다.
6 For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.For he shall never be moved; The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.그는 결코 흔들리지 않으리니, 의로운 사람은 영원히 기억될 것이다.
7 He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in Yahweh.He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: His heart is fixed, trusting in Jehovah.그는 나쁜 소식을 두려워하지 않으니, 그의 마음은 여호와를 신뢰하여 굳건하다.
8 His heart is established. He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries.His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, Until he see his desire upon his adversaries.그의 마음은 든든히 서 있어 두려워하지 않으니, 마침내 그의 대적들에게 임하는 일을 보게 될 것이다.
9 He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.He hath dispersed, he hath given to the needy; His righteousness endureth for ever: His horn shall be exalted with honor.그는 아낌없이 흩어 가난한 사람들에게 베풀었으니, 그의 의는 영원히 지속되고 그의 뿔은 영광 중에 높이 들릴 것이다.
10 The wicked will see it, and be grieved. He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away. The desire of the wicked will perish.The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: The desire of the wicked shall perish.악인은 이것을 보고 분해하며 이를 갈다가 스러져 가리니, 악인의 욕망은 사라질 것이다.
