1 The king rejoices in your strength, Yahweh! How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!The king shall joy in thy strength, O Jehovah; And in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!지휘자를 위한 노래, 다윗의 시. 여호와여, 왕이 주의 힘을 기뻐합니다! 주의 구원을 그가 얼마나 크게 즐거워하는지요!
2 You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, And hast not withholden the request of his lips. [Selah주께서 그의 마음의 소원을 들어주시고, 그의 입술이 구한 것을 거절하지 않으셨습니다. (셀라)
3 For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head.For thou meetest him with the blessings of goodness: Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.주께서 좋은 복으로 그를 맞이하시고, 순금 면류관을 그의 머리에 씌우셨습니다.
4 He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him, Even length of days for ever and ever.그가 주께 생명을 구하니, 주께서 그에게 생명을 주셨으니, 곧 영원무궁한 긴 날들이었습니다.
5 His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him.His glory is great in thy salvation: Honor and majesty dost thou lay upon him.주의 구원으로 그의 영광이 큽니다. 주께서 존귀와 위엄을 그에게 입히십니다.
6 For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence.For thou makest him most blessed for ever: Thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence.주께서 그를 영원토록 가장 복된 자로 삼으시고, 주의 앞에서 기쁨으로 그를 즐겁게 하십니다.
7 For the king trusts in Yahweh. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved.For the king trusteth in Jehovah; And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.왕이 여호와를 신뢰하기 때문입니다. 지극히 높으신 분의 인자하심으로 그는 흔들리지 않을 것입니다.
8 Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.Thy hand will find out all thine enemies; Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee.주의 손이 주의 모든 원수를 찾아내며, 주의 오른손이 주를 미워하는 자들을 찾아낼 것입니다.
9 You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. Yahweh will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.Thou wilt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger: Jehovah will swallow them up in his wrath, And the fire shall devour them.주께서 진노하실 때에 그들을 불타는 화덕같이 만드실 것입니다. 여호와께서 그분의 진노로 그들을 삼키시며, 불이 그들을 태울 것입니다.
10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men.Their fruit wilt thou destroy from the earth, And their seed from among the children of men.주께서 그들의 후손을 땅에서 멸하시고, 그들의 자손을 사람들 가운데서 끊으실 것입니다.
11 For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.For they intended evil against thee; They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.그들이 주를 대적하여 악을 꾀하였고, 이룰 수 없는 악한 계략을 주를 향해 도모하였기 때문입니다.
12 For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.For thou wilt make them turn their back; Thou wilt make ready with thy bowstrings against their face.주께서 그들의 얼굴을 향해 당긴 활을 겨누실 때에, 그들이 등을 돌려 달아나게 하실 것입니다.
13 Be exalted, Yahweh, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.Be thou exalted, O Jehovah, in thy strength: So will we sing and praise thy power.여호와여, 주의 힘으로 높임을 받으소서. 그리하면 우리가 주의 권능을 노래하며 찬양하겠습니다.
