1 Many times they have afflicted me from my youth up. Let Israel now say:Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth up, Let Israel now say,성전에 올라가는 노래. 그들이 내 어린 시절부터 여러 번 나를 괴롭혔다. 이제 이스라엘은 이렇게 말하여라.
2 many times they have afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth up: Yet they have not prevailed against me.그들이 내 어린 시절부터 여러 번 나를 괴롭혔으나, 나를 이기지는 못하였다.
3 The plowers plowed on my back. They made their furrows long.The plowers plowed upon my back; They made long their furrows.밭 가는 자들이 내 등을 갈아 그 고랑을 길게 내었다.
4 Yahweh is righteous. He has cut apart the cords of the wicked.Jehovah is righteous: He hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.여호와는 의로우시다. 그분이 악인들의 줄을 끊어 버리셨다.
5 Let them be disappointed and turned backward, all those who hate Zion.Let them be put to shame and turned backward, All they that hate Zion.시온을 미워하는 자들이 모두 수치를 당하고 뒤로 물러가게 하소서.
6 Let them be as the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up,Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, Which withereth before it groweth up;그들은 자라기도 전에 말라 버리는 지붕 위의 풀과 같이 되게 하소서.
7 with which the reaper doesn’t fill his hand, nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.Wherewith the reaper filleth not his hand, Nor he that bindeth sheaves, his bosom:그것은 추수하는 사람이 손에 가득 베지도 못하고, 단을 묶는 사람이 품에 안지도 못한다.
8 Neither do those who go by say, “ The blessing of Yahweh be on you. We bless you in Yahweh’s name.”Neither do they that go by say, The blessing of Jehovah be upon you; We bless you in the name of Jehovah.지나가는 사람들도 "여호와의 복이 너희에게 있기를 빈다. 우리가 여호와의 이름으로 너희를 축복한다"라고 말하지 않는다.
