1 Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake.Not unto us, O Jehovah, not unto us, But unto thy name give glory, For thy lovingkindness, and for thy truth’s sake.여호와여, 영광을 우리에게 돌리지 마십시오. 우리에게가 아니라 주의 이름에 돌리십시오. 주의 한결같은 사랑과 주의 진실하심을 위해서입니다.
2 Why should the nations say, “ Where is their God, now?”Wherefore should the nations say, Where is now their God?어찌하여 이방 사람들이 "그들의 하나님이 지금 어디 있느냐"고 말하게 하겠습니까?
3 But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever he pleased.그러나 우리 하나님은 하늘에 계셔서 무엇이든 원하시는 대로 행하십니다.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands.그들의 우상은 은과 금이요, 사람의 손으로 만든 것입니다.
5 They have mouths, but they don’t speak. They have eyes, but they don’t see.They have mouths, but they speak not; Eyes have they, but they see not;그것들은 입이 있어도 말하지 못하고, 눈이 있어도 보지 못합니다.
6 They have ears, but they don’t hear. They have noses, but they don’t smell.They have ears, but they hear not; Noses have they, but they smell not;귀가 있어도 듣지 못하고, 코가 있어도 냄새 맡지 못합니다.
7 They have hands, but they don’t feel. They have feet, but they don’t walk, neither do they speak through their throat.They have hands, but they handle not; Feet have they, but they walk not; Neither speak they through their throat.손이 있어도 만지지 못하고, 발이 있어도 걷지 못하며, 목구멍으로 소리조차 내지 못합니다.
8 Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.They that make them shall be like unto them; Yea, every one that trusteth in them.그것들을 만든 자도, 그것들을 의지하는 자마다 다 그것들처럼 될 것입니다.
9 Israel, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.O Israel, trust thou in Jehovah: He is their help and their shield.이스라엘아, 여호와를 의지하여라. 그분은 그들의 도움이시요 방패이십니다.
10 House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.O house of Aaron, trust ye in Jehovah: He is their help and their shield.아론의 집이여, 여호와를 의지하여라. 그분은 그들의 도움이시요 방패이십니다.
11 You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.Ye that fear Jehovah, trust in Jehovah: He is their help and their shield.여호와를 경외하는 너희여, 여호와를 의지하여라. 그분은 그들의 도움이시요 방패이십니다.
12 Yahweh remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron.Jehovah hath been mindful of us; he will bless us: He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.여호와께서 우리를 기억하시고 복을 주실 것입니다. 이스라엘의 집에 복을 주시고 아론의 집에 복을 주실 것입니다.
13 He will bless those who fear Yahweh, both small and great.He will bless them that fear Jehovah, Both small and great.여호와를 경외하는 자들에게, 작은 자나 큰 자나 다 복을 주실 것입니다.
14 May Yahweh increase you more and more, you and your children.Jehovah increase you more and more, You and your children.여호와께서 너희를 점점 더 번성하게 하시되, 너희와 너희 자녀를 그리하실 것입니다.
15 Blessed are you by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.Blessed are ye of Jehovah, Who made heaven and earth.하늘과 땅을 지으신 여호와께 너희가 복을 받을 것입니다.
16 The heavens are Yahweh’s heavens, but he has given the earth to the children of men.The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah; But the earth hath he given to the children of men.하늘은 여호와의 하늘이지만, 땅은 사람의 자녀들에게 주셨습니다.
17 The dead don’t praise Yah, nor any who go down into silence,The dead praise not Jehovah, Neither any that go down into silence;죽은 자들은 여호와를 찬양하지 못하고, 침묵 속으로 내려가는 자들도 그러합니다.
18 but we will bless Yah, from this time forward and forever more. Praise Yah!But we will bless Jehovah From this time forth and for evermore. Praise ye Jehovah.그러나 우리는 이제부터 영원토록 여호와를 송축하겠습니다. 여호와를 찬양하여라!
