1 Bless Yahweh, my soul. Yahweh, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.Bless Jehovah, O my soul. O Jehovah my God, thou art very great; Thou art clothed with honor and majesty:내 영혼아, 여호와를 찬송하여라. 여호와 나의 하나님, 주님은 참으로 위대하십니다. 주님은 영광과 존귀를 옷처럼 입으셨습니다.
2 He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment; Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;주님은 빛을 옷처럼 두르시고, 하늘을 휘장처럼 펼치십니다.
3 He lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters; Who maketh the clouds his chariot; Who walketh upon the wings of the wind;주님은 자기 누각의 들보를 물 위에 두시고, 구름을 자기의 수레로 삼으시며, 바람 날개를 타고 다니십니다.
4 He makes his messengers winds, and his servants flames of fire.Who maketh winds his messengers; Flames of fire his ministers;주님은 바람을 자기의 사자로 삼으시고, 타오르는 불을 자기의 종으로 삼으십니다.
5 He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.Who laid the foundations of the earth, That it should not be moved for ever.주님은 땅의 기초를 놓으셔서, 그것이 영원히 흔들리지 않게 하셨습니다.
6 You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a vesture; The waters stood above the mountains.주님은 깊은 물로 땅을 옷처럼 덮으셨고, 물이 산들 위에까지 솟아 있었습니다.
7 At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.At thy rebuke they fled; At the voice of thy thunder they hasted away주님이 꾸짖으시니 물이 달아나고, 주님의 천둥소리에 물이 황급히 물러갔습니다.
8 The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.( The mountains rose, the valleys sank down ) Unto the place which thou hadst founded for them.산은 솟아오르고 골짜기는 내려앉아, 주님이 정해 주신 자리로 갔습니다.
9 You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; That they turn not again to cover the earth.주님은 물이 넘지 못할 경계를 정하셔서, 다시는 돌아와 땅을 덮지 못하게 하셨습니다.
10 He sends springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.He sendeth forth springs into the valleys; They run among the mountains;주님은 골짜기에 샘을 보내시니, 그 물이 산과 산 사이로 흐릅니다.
11 They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.They give drink to every beast of the field; The wild asses quench their thirst.그 물은 들의 모든 짐승에게 마실 것을 주고, 들나귀들이 갈증을 풉니다.
12 The birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.By them the birds of the heavens have their habitation; They sing among the branches.그 곁에 하늘의 새들이 깃들이고, 가지 사이에서 노래합니다.
13 He waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.He watereth the mountains from his chambers: The earth is filled with the fruit of thy works.주님은 자기 누각에서 산들에 물을 주시니, 땅은 주님이 하신 일의 열매로 가득 찹니다.
14 He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, And herb for the service of man; That he may bring forth food out of the earth,주님은 가축을 위해 풀을 자라게 하시고, 사람이 가꾸도록 채소를 내셔서, 땅에서 먹을 양식이 나오게 하십니다.
15 wine that makes the heart of man glad, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, And oil to make his face to shine, And bread that strengtheneth man’s heart.사람의 마음을 즐겁게 하는 포도주와, 얼굴을 빛나게 하는 기름과, 사람의 마음을 든든하게 하는 빵이 나오게 하십니다.
16 Yahweh’s trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted,The trees of Jehovah are filled with moisture, The cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;여호와의 나무들, 곧 주님이 심으신 레바논의 백향목이 흠뻑 물을 머금습니다.
17 where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the cypress trees.Where the birds make their nests: As for the stork, the fir-trees are her house.그곳에 새들이 둥지를 틀고, 황새는 잣나무를 보금자리로 삼습니다.
18 The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.The high mountains are for the wild goats; The rocks are a refuge for the conies.높은 산은 들염소의 차지요, 바위는 너구리의 피난처입니다.
19 He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.He appointed the moon for seasons: The sun knoweth his going down.주님은 달을 두어 절기를 정하게 하셨고, 해는 자기가 질 때를 압니다.
20 You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.Thou makest darkness, and it is night, Wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth.주님이 어둠을 만드시니 밤이 되고, 그때에 숲의 모든 짐승이 기어 나옵니다.
21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.The young lions roar after their prey, And seek their food from God.젊은 사자들은 먹이를 찾아 부르짖으며, 하나님께 자기 양식을 구합니다.
22 The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens.The sun ariseth, they get them away, And lay them down in their dens.해가 떠오르면 그것들은 슬그머니 물러가, 자기 굴에 눕습니다.
23 Man goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening.Man goeth forth unto his work And to his labor until the evening.사람은 일하러 나가서, 저녁까지 수고합니다.
24 Yahweh, how many are your works! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.O Jehovah, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: The earth is full of thy riches.여호와여, 주님이 하신 일이 어찌 그리 많습니까! 주님은 그 모든 것을 지혜로 지으셨으니, 땅은 주님의 풍성한 것으로 가득합니다.
25 There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.Yonder is the sea, great and wide, Wherein are things creeping innumerable, Both small and great beasts.저기 크고 넓은 바다가 있어, 그 안에는 크고 작은 생물들이 헤아릴 수 없이 많습니다.
26 There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.There go the ships; There is leviathan, whom thou hast formed to play therein.거기에 배들이 다니고, 주님이 거기서 놀게 하시려고 지으신 리워야단도 있습니다.
27 These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.These wait all for thee, That thou mayest give them their food in due season.이 모든 것이 주님을 기다리니, 주님이 때를 따라 그것들에게 먹을 것을 주시기 때문입니다.
28 You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.Thou givest unto them, they gather; Thou openest thy hand, they are satisfied with good.주님이 주시면 그것들이 거두고, 주님이 손을 펴시면 그것들이 좋은 것으로 만족합니다.
29 You hide your face; they are troubled. You take away their breath; they die and return to the dust.Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; Thou takest away their breath, they die, And return to their dust.주님이 얼굴을 숨기시면 그것들이 두려워하고, 주님이 그 호흡을 거두시면 그것들이 죽어 흙으로 돌아갑니다.
30 You send out your Spirit and they are created. You renew the face of the ground.Thou sendest forth thy Spirit, they are created; And thou renewest the face of the ground.주님이 주님의 영을 보내시면 그것들이 창조되고, 주님은 땅의 모습을 새롭게 하십니다.
31 Let Yahweh’s glory endure forever. Let Yahweh rejoice in his works.Let the glory of Jehovah endure for ever; Let Jehovah rejoice in his works:여호와의 영광이 영원히 있기를 바랍니다. 여호와께서 자기가 하신 일을 기뻐하시기를 바랍니다.
32 He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.Who looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; He toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.주님이 땅을 보시면 땅이 떨고, 산들을 만지시면 산들이 연기를 냅니다.
33 I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.I will sing unto Jehovah as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.나는 평생토록 여호와께 노래하며, 내가 살아 있는 동안 나의 하나님을 찬양하겠습니다.
34 Let my meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in Yahweh.Let my meditation be sweet unto him: I will rejoice in Jehovah.내 묵상이 주님께 달기를 바랍니다. 나는 여호와 안에서 기뻐하겠습니다.
35 Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless Yahweh, my soul. Praise Yah!Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. And let the wicked be no more. Bless Jehovah, O my soul. Praise ye Jehovah.죄인들이 땅에서 사라지고, 악인들이 더 이상 없기를 바랍니다. 내 영혼아, 여호와를 찬송하여라. 여호와를 찬양하여라!
