1 Then some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me.Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.그때에 이스라엘 장로 가운데 몇 사람이 내게 와서 내 앞에 앉았다.
2 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,여호와의 말씀이 내게 임했다.
3 “ Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face. Should I be inquired of at all by them?Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?사람아, 이 사람들은 그 우상을 마음에 들이고, 그 죄악의 걸림돌을 자기 얼굴 앞에 두었으니, 내가 과연 그들의 물음에 응답하겠느냐?
4 Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘ The Lord Yahweh says: “ Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face then comes to the prophet, I Yahweh will answer him there according to the multitude of his idols,Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel that taketh his idols into his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I Jehovah will answer him therein according to the multitude of his idols;그러므로 그들에게 말하여 이르라. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 이스라엘 집의 누구든지 그 우상을 마음에 들이고, 그 죄악의 걸림돌을 자기 얼굴 앞에 두고서 선지자에게 나아오면, 나 여호와가 그 우상이 많은 대로 친히 그에게 응답하리니,
5 that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.”’that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.이는 그들이 다 우상으로 인해 내게서 떠나 있으므로, 내가 이스라엘 집을 그 마음에서 사로잡으려 함이다.
6 “ Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘ The Lord Yahweh says: “ Return, and turn yourselves from your idols! Turn away your faces from all your abominations.Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Return ye, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.그러므로 이스라엘 집에게 이르라. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 너희는 돌아오라. 너희 우상에게서 돌이키고, 너희의 모든 가증한 것에서 너희 얼굴을 돌이키라.
7 “‘“ For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me, I Yahweh will answer him by myself.For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that separateth himself from me, and taketh his idols into his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire for himself of me; I Jehovah will answer him by myself:이스라엘 집의 누구든지, 또 이스라엘에 머무는 나그네 가운데 누구든지, 나를 떠나 그 우상을 마음에 들이고, 그 죄악의 걸림돌을 자기 얼굴 앞에 두고서 선지자에게 나아와 내게 묻고자 하면, 나 여호와가 친히 그에게 응답하여,
8 I will set my face against that man and will make him an astonishment, for a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from among my people. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.and I will set my face against that man, and will make him an astonishment, for a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.내가 그 사람을 대적하여 그를 놀람거리가 되게 하고, 표징과 속담거리가 되게 하며, 내 백성 가운데서 그를 끊어 내리니, 그제야 너희가 내가 여호와인 줄 알리라.
9 “‘“ If the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, Yahweh, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from among my people Israel.And if the prophet be deceived and speak a word, I, Jehovah, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.만일 선지자가 미혹되어 말씀을 전하면, 나 여호와가 그 선지자를 미혹한 것이라. 내가 손을 펴서 그를 치고, 내 백성 이스라엘 가운데서 그를 멸하리라.
10 They will bear their iniquity. The iniquity of the prophet will be even as the iniquity of him who seeks him,And they shall bear their iniquity: the iniquity of the prophet shall be even as the iniquity of him that seeketh unto him;그들은 그 죄악을 담당할 것이니, 선지자의 죄악이 그에게 묻는 자의 죄악과 같으리라.
11 that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, neither defile themselves any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God,” says the Lord Yahweh.’”that the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither defile themselves any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord Jehovah.이는 이스라엘 집이 다시는 나를 떠나 길을 잃지 않게 하고, 다시는 그 모든 허물로 자기를 더럽히지 않게 하여, 그들이 내 백성이 되고 내가 그들의 하나님이 되게 하려 함이라. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
12 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,여호와의 말씀이 내게 임했다.
13 “ Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand on it, and break the staff of its bread and send famine on it, and cut off from it man and animal—Son of man, when a land sinneth against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand upon it, and break the staff of the bread thereof, and send famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast;사람아, 어떤 땅이 범죄하여 내게 죄를 지으면, 내가 그 위에 손을 펴서 그 의지하는 양식을 끊고, 그 위에 기근을 보내어 사람과 짐승을 그곳에서 끊으리니,
14 though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness,” says the Lord Yahweh.though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.비록 그 가운데 노아와 다니엘과 욥, 이 세 사람이 있을지라도, 그들은 자기 의로 오직 자기 목숨만 건질 것이다. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
15 “ If I cause evil animals to pass through the land, and they ravage it and it is made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the animals —If I cause evil beasts to pass through the land, and they ravage it, and it be made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the beasts;만일 내가 사나운 짐승을 그 땅에 두루 다니게 하여 그 땅을 황폐하게 하고, 그 짐승 때문에 아무도 지나가지 못하게 하면,
16 though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “ they would deliver neither sons nor daughters. They only would be delivered, but the land would be desolate.though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only should be delivered, but the land should be desolate.비록 그 세 사람이 그 가운데 있을지라도, 내가 살아 있음을 두고 맹세하노니, 그들은 아들이나 딸도 건지지 못하고, 오직 자기들만 건짐을 받을 것이며, 그 땅은 황폐하게 되리라. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
17 “ Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, ‘ Sword, go through the land, so that I cut off from it man and animal’—Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off from it man and beast;또 만일 내가 그 땅에 칼을 보내어 이르기를, 칼아, 그 땅을 두루 다니라 하여 사람과 짐승을 그곳에서 끊으면,
18 though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “ they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only would be delivered themselves.though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only should be delivered themselves.비록 그 세 사람이 그 가운데 있을지라도, 내가 살아 있음을 두고 맹세하노니, 그들은 아들이나 딸도 건지지 못하고, 오직 자기들만 건짐을 받으리라. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
19 “ Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my wrath on it in blood, to cut off from it man and animal—Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my wrath upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast;또 만일 내가 그 땅에 전염병을 보내고 피로 내 진노를 그 위에 쏟아부어 사람과 짐승을 그곳에서 끊으면,
20 though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “ they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness.”though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter; they should but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.비록 노아와 다니엘과 욥이 그 가운데 있을지라도, 내가 살아 있음을 두고 맹세하노니, 그들은 아들이나 딸도 건지지 못하고, 오직 자기 의로 자기 목숨만 건질 것이다. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
21 For the Lord Yahweh says: “ How much more when I send my four severe judgments on Jerusalem — the sword, the famine, the evil animals, and the pestilence — to cut off from it man and animal!For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the evil beasts, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast!주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 내가 나의 네 가지 중한 심판, 곧 칼과 기근과 사나운 짐승과 전염병을 예루살렘에 보내어 사람과 짐승을 그곳에서 끊으려 할 때에는 그 화가 얼마나 더하겠느냐!
22 Yet, behold, there will be left a remnant in it that will be carried out, both sons and daughters. Behold, they will come out to you, and you will see their way and their doings. Then you will be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought on Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought on it.Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be carried forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings; and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.그러나 보라, 그 가운데 살아남아 끌려 나올 자, 곧 아들과 딸이 남으리니, 보라, 그들이 너희에게로 나아오리라. 너희가 그들의 행위와 소행을 보면, 내가 예루살렘에 내린 재앙, 곧 내가 그 위에 내린 그 모든 일에 대하여 위로를 받으리라.
23 They will comfort you, when you see their way and their doings; then you will know that I have not done all that I have done in it without cause,” says the Lord Yahweh.And they shall comfort you, when ye see their way and their doings; and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord Jehovah.너희가 그들의 행위와 소행을 볼 때에 그들이 너희를 위로하리니, 그제야 너희는 내가 그곳에서 행한 그 모든 일을 까닭 없이 행하지 않은 줄 알리라. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
