1 In the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, the Lord Yahweh’s hand fell on me there.And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord Jehovah fell there upon me.여섯째 해 여섯째 달 다섯째 날에, 내가 내 집에 앉아 있고 유다의 장로들이 내 앞에 앉아 있을 때, 주 여호와의 손이 거기서 내 위에 임하였다.
2 Then I saw, and behold, a likeness as the appearance of fire— from the appearance of his waist and downward, fire, and from his waist and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as it were glowing metal.Then I beheld, and, lo, a likeness as the appearance of fire; from the appearance of his loins and downward, fire; and from his loins and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as it were glowing metal.그때 내가 보니, 불의 모습 같은 형상이 있었다. 그 허리 아래로는 불 같았고, 허리 위로는 빛나는 광채 같아서 마치 달궈진 쇠처럼 보였다.
3 He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and the sky, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the gate of the inner court that looks toward the north, where there was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy.And he put forth the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the gate of the inner court that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.그가 손 모양 같은 것을 내밀어 내 머리털 한 줌을 잡으시니, 성령이 나를 땅과 하늘 사이로 들어 올리시고, 하나님의 환상 가운데 나를 예루살렘으로 데려가셨다. 곧 북쪽을 향한 안뜰 문 어귀로 데려가셨는데, 거기에는 질투를 일으키는 질투의 우상이 자리하고 있었다.
4 Behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the appearance that I saw in the plain.And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the appearance that I saw in the plain.보라, 거기에 이스라엘 하나님의 영광이 있었으니, 내가 들판에서 보았던 그 모습과 같았다.
5 Then he said to me, “ Son of man, lift up your eyes now the way toward the north.” So I lifted up my eyes the way toward the north, and saw, northward of the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold, northward of the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.그때 그가 내게 말씀하셨다. "사람의 아들아, 이제 눈을 들어 북쪽을 바라보아라." 그래서 내가 눈을 들어 북쪽을 바라보니, 제단 문 북쪽 어귀에 그 질투의 우상이 있었다.
6 He said to me, “ Son of man, do you see what they do? Even the great abominations that the house of Israel commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? But you will again see yet other great abominations.”And he said unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel do commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? But thou shalt again see yet other great abominations.그가 내게 말씀하셨다. "사람의 아들아, 그들이 하는 일이 보이느냐? 이스라엘 족속이 여기서 저지르는 큰 가증한 일들, 곧 나로 하여금 내 성소에서 멀리 떠나게 하는 일들이 보이느냐? 그러나 너는 이보다 더 큰 가증한 일들을 또 보게 될 것이다."
7 He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.그가 나를 뜰 문으로 데려가셨다. 내가 보니, 벽에 구멍이 하나 있었다.
8 Then he said to me, “ Son of man, dig now in the wall.” When I had dug in the wall, I saw a door.Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold, a door.그때 그가 내게 말씀하셨다. "사람의 아들아, 이제 그 벽을 뚫어 보아라." 내가 그 벽을 뚫으니, 보라, 문 하나가 있었다.
9 He said to me, “Go in, and see the wicked abominations that they do here.”And he said unto me, Go in, and see the wicked abominations that they do here.그가 내게 말씀하셨다. "들어가서 그들이 여기서 저지르는 악하고 가증한 일들을 보아라."
10 So I went in and looked, and saw every form of creeping things, abominable animals, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed around on the wall.So I went in and saw; and behold, every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.그래서 내가 들어가서 보니, 온갖 기는 것들과 혐오스러운 짐승들의 형상과 이스라엘 족속의 모든 우상이 사방 벽에 그려져 있었다.
11 Seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel stood before them. In the middle of them Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan stood, every man with his censer in his hand; and the smell of the cloud of incense went up.And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel; and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, every man with his censer in his hand; and the odor of the cloud of incense went up.그 앞에 이스라엘 족속의 장로 일흔 명이 서 있었고, 그 가운데에는 사반의 아들 야아사냐가 서 있었다. 각 사람은 손에 향로를 들고 있었으며, 향연의 구름에서 나는 냄새가 피어올랐다.
12 Then he said to me, “ Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his rooms of imagery? For they say, ‘ Yahweh doesn’t see us. Yahweh has forsaken the land.’”Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his chambers of imagery? for they say, Jehovah seeth us not; Jehovah hath forsaken the land.그때 그가 내게 말씀하셨다. "사람의 아들아, 이스라엘 족속의 장로들이 어둠 속에서, 각자 우상을 새긴 자기 방에서 하는 일을 보았느냐? 그들은 '여호와께서 우리를 보지 않으신다. 여호와께서 이 땅을 버리셨다'고 말한다."
13 He said also to me, “ You will again see more of the great abominations which they do.”He said also unto me, Thou shalt again see yet other great abominations which they do.그가 또 내게 말씀하셨다. "너는 그들이 저지르는 더 큰 가증한 일들을 또 보게 될 것이다."
14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of Yahweh’s house which was toward the north; and I saw the women sit there weeping for Tammuz.Then he brought me to the door of the gate of Jehovah’s house which was toward the north; and behold, there sat the women weeping for Tammuz.그때 그가 나를 여호와의 집 북쪽을 향한 문 어귀로 데려가셨다. 보니, 거기에 여인들이 앉아 담무스를 위하여 울고 있었다.
15 Then he said to me, “ Have you seen this, son of man? You will again see yet greater abominations than these.”Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? thou shalt again see yet greater abominations than these.그때 그가 내게 말씀하셨다. "사람의 아들아, 이것을 보았느냐? 너는 이보다 더 큰 가증한 일들을 또 보게 될 것이다."
16 He brought me into the inner court of Yahweh’s house; and I saw at the door of Yahweh’s temple, between the porch and the altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs toward Yahweh’s temple and their faces toward the east. They were worshiping the sun toward the east.And he brought me into the inner court of Jehovah’s house; and behold, at the door of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of Jehovah, and their faces toward the east; and they were worshipping the sun toward the east.그가 나를 여호와의 집 안뜰로 데려가셨다. 보니, 여호와의 성전 문, 곧 현관과 제단 사이에 약 스물다섯 명이 여호와의 성전을 등지고 얼굴을 동쪽으로 향한 채 동쪽의 해를 경배하고 있었다.
17 Then he said to me, “ Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger. Behold, they put the branch to their nose.Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.그때 그가 내게 말씀하셨다. "사람의 아들아, 이것을 보았느냐? 유다 족속이 여기서 저지르는 이 가증한 일들이 그들에게 가벼운 일이냐? 그들은 이 땅을 폭력으로 가득 채웠고, 다시 나를 분노하게 하였다. 보라, 그들이 가지를 자기 코에 갖다 댄다.
18 Therefore I will also deal in wrath. My eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity. Though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, yet I will not hear them.”Therefore will I also deal in wrath; mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.그러므로 나도 진노로 다스릴 것이다. 내 눈이 아끼지 아니하고 내가 긍휼히 여기지도 아니할 것이며, 그들이 큰 소리로 내 귀에 부르짖을지라도 나는 그들의 말을 듣지 아니하리라."
