2 In the fifth of the month, which was the fifth year of King Jehoiachin’s captivity,In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity,그달 초닷새는 여호야긴 왕이 사로잡혀 간 지 다섯째 해였는데,
3 Yahweh’s word came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and Yahweh’s hand was there on him.the word of Jehovah came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of Jehovah was there upon him.갈대아 사람들의 땅 그발 강가에서 부시의 아들 제사장 에스겔에게 여호와의 말씀이 분명하게 임하였고, 거기서 여호와의 손이 그의 위에 있었다.
4 I looked, and behold, a stormy wind came out of the north: a great cloud, with flashing lightning, and a brightness around it, and out of the middle of it as it were glowing metal, out of the middle of the fire.And I looked, and, behold, a stormy wind came out of the north, a great cloud, with a fire infolding itself, and a brightness round about it, and out of the midst thereof as it were glowing metal, out of the midst of the fire.내가 보니, 북쪽에서 폭풍이 불어왔다. 큰 구름이 일고 번개가 번쩍였으며, 그 둘레에는 빛이 환하게 비쳤다. 그 한가운데에서는 불 속에서 빛나는 쇠붙이 같은 것이 보였다.
5 Out of its center came the likeness of four living creatures. This was their appearance: They had the likeness of a man.And out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man;그 한가운데에서 네 생물의 형상이 나왔는데, 그 모습은 이러했다. 그들은 사람의 형상을 하고 있었다.
6 Everyone had four faces, and each one of them had four wings.and every one had four faces, and every one of them had four wings.저마다 얼굴이 넷이고, 날개도 각각 넷이었다.
7 Their feet were straight feet. The sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot; and they sparkled like burnished bronze.And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot; and they sparkled like burnished brass.그들의 발은 곧았으며, 발바닥은 송아지 발바닥 같았고, 닦아 놓은 놋쇠처럼 빛났다.
8 They had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides. The four of them had their faces and their wings like this:And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings thus:그들의 네 옆 날개 아래에는 사람의 손이 있었으며, 넷 모두 이렇게 얼굴과 날개를 지니고 있었다.
9 Their wings were joined to one another. They didn’t turn when they went. Each one went straight forward.their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.그들의 날개는 서로 맞닿아 있었고, 움직일 때에 돌이키지 않고 저마다 똑바로 앞을 향해 나아갔다.
10 As for the likeness of their faces, they had the face of a man. The four of them had the face of a lion on the right side. The four of them had the face of an ox on the left side. The four of them also had the face of an eagle.As for the likeness of their faces, they had the face of a man; and they four had the face of a lion on the right side; and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four had also the face of an eagle.그들의 얼굴 모양은 이러했다. 넷 모두 앞쪽은 사람의 얼굴이요, 오른쪽은 사자의 얼굴이며, 왼쪽은 소의 얼굴이고, 또 독수리의 얼굴도 지니고 있었다.
11 Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above. Two wings of each one touched another, and two covered their bodies.And their faces and their wings were separate above; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.그들의 얼굴은 그러했고, 날개는 위로 펴져 있었다. 저마다 두 날개는 서로 맞닿았고, 다른 두 날개로는 자기 몸을 가렸다.
12 Each one went straight forward. Where the spirit was to go, they went. They didn’t turn when they went.And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; they turned not when they went.저마다 똑바로 앞을 향해 나아갔으니, 영이 가려 하는 곳으로 그들이 갔으며, 움직일 때에 돌이키지 않았다.
13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. The fire went up and down among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and lightning went out of the fire.As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches: the fire went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.그 생물들의 모습은 마치 타오르는 숯불 같고 횃불 같았으며, 그 불이 생물들 사이를 오르내렸다. 불은 밝게 빛났고, 그 불에서 번개가 나왔다.
14 The living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.그 생물들은 번개가 번쩍이듯 이리저리 빠르게 달려가고 돌아왔다.
15 Now as I saw the living creatures, behold, there was one wheel on the earth beside the living creatures, for each of the four faces of it.Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold, one wheel upon the earth beside the living creatures, for each of the four faces thereof.내가 그 생물들을 보고 있을 때에, 보니 그 생물들 곁 땅 위에 네 얼굴마다 바퀴가 하나씩 있었다.
16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like a beryl. The four of them had one likeness. Their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel within a wheel.The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto a beryl: and they four had one likeness; and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel within a wheel.그 바퀴들의 모양과 만든 모습은 녹주석 같았으며, 넷의 생김새가 한가지였다. 그 모양과 만듦새는 마치 바퀴 안에 바퀴가 있는 것 같았다.
17 When they went, they went in their four directions. They didn’t turn when they went.When they went, they went in their four directions: they turned not when they went.그것들이 움직일 때에는 네 방향 어디로든 나아갔으며, 움직일 때에 돌이키지 않았다.
18 As for their rims, they were high and dreadful; and the four of them had their rims full of eyes all around.As for their rims, they were high and dreadful; and they four had their rims full of eyes round about.그 바퀴 테는 높고 두려웠으며, 넷의 테에는 둘레마다 눈이 가득하였다.
19 When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them. When the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.그 생물들이 움직이면 바퀴들도 그 곁에서 함께 움직였고, 그 생물들이 땅에서 들려 올라가면 바퀴들도 들려 올라갔다.
20 Wherever the spirit was to go, they went. The spirit was to go there. The wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went; thither was the spirit to go: and the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.영이 가려 하는 곳이면 어디든 그들이 갔으니, 영이 그리로 가려 했기 때문이다. 바퀴들도 그 곁에서 함께 들려 올라갔으니, 그 생물의 영이 바퀴 안에 있었기 때문이다.
21 When those went, these went. When those stood, these stood. When those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up beside them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.생물들이 움직이면 바퀴들도 움직이고, 생물들이 서면 바퀴들도 섰으며, 생물들이 땅에서 들려 올라가면 바퀴들도 그 곁에서 함께 들려 올라갔으니, 그 생물의 영이 바퀴 안에 있었기 때문이다.
22 Over the head of the living creature there was the likeness of an expanse, like an awesome crystal to look at, stretched out over their heads above.And over the head of the living creature there was the likeness of a firmament, like the terrible crystal to look upon, stretched forth over their heads above.그 생물의 머리 위에는 궁창 같은 형상이 있었는데, 바라보기에 두려운 수정과 같았으며, 그들의 머리 위로 펼쳐져 있었다.
23 Under the expanse, their wings were straight, one toward the other. Each one had two which covered on this side, and each one had two which covered their bodies on that side.And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two which covered on this side, and every one had two which covered on that side, their bodies.그 궁창 아래에는 그들의 날개가 곧게 펴져 서로를 향해 마주 닿았고, 저마다 두 날개로는 이쪽으로 몸을 가리고 또 두 날개로는 저쪽으로 몸을 가렸다.
24 When they went, I heard the noise of their wings like the noise of great waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a noise of tumult like the noise of an army. When they stood, they let down their wings.And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings like the noise of great waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a noise of tumult like the noise of a host: when they stood, they let down their wings.그들이 움직일 때에 나는 그 날갯소리를 들었는데, 큰 물이 쏟아지는 소리 같고 전능하신 분의 음성 같았으며, 군대가 떠드는 소리 같은 요란한 소리였다. 그들이 설 때에는 날개를 내렸다.
25 There was a voice above the expanse that was over their heads. When they stood, they let down their wings.And there was a voice above the firmament that was over their heads: when they stood, they let down their wings.그들의 머리 위 궁창 위에서 한 음성이 들렸으니, 그들이 서서 날개를 내릴 때였다.
26 Above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone. On the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man on it above.And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and upon the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man upon it above.그들의 머리 위 궁창 위에는 보좌 같은 형상이 있었는데, 그 모양은 사파이어 돌 같았다. 그 보좌 같은 형상 위에는 사람의 모습 같은 형상이 그 위에 있었다.
27 I saw as it were glowing metal, as the appearance of fire within it all around, from the appearance of his waist and upward; and from the appearance of his waist and downward I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around him.And I saw as it were glowing metal, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his loins and upward; and from the appearance of his loins and downward I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness round about him.내가 보니, 그의 허리처럼 보이는 데서부터 위쪽은 빛나는 쇠붙이 같고 그 속에 불이 사방으로 둘린 것 같았으며, 그의 허리처럼 보이는 데서부터 아래쪽은 불처럼 보였고 그 둘레에는 빛이 환하게 비쳤다.
28 As the appearance of the rainbow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of Yahweh’s glory. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Jehovah. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.비 오는 날 구름에 나타나는 무지개처럼, 그 둘레에 비치는 빛의 모습도 그러하였다. 이것은 여호와의 영광의 형상의 모습이었다. 내가 이를 보고 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드리니, 말씀하시는 분의 음성이 들렸다.
