1 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르셨다.
2 “ Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, ‘ Hear Yahweh’s word:Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own heart, Hear ye the word of Jehovah:사람아, 예언하는 이스라엘의 선지자들을 향해 예언하여라. 자기 마음대로 예언하는 자들에게 말하여라. 여호와의 말씀을 들어라.
3 The Lord Yahweh says, “ Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 어리석은 선지자들에게 화가 있을 것이다. 그들은 자기 영을 따르며 아무것도 보지 못한 자들이다.
4 Israel, your prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.O Israel, thy prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.이스라엘아, 너의 선지자들은 황폐한 곳을 헤매는 여우들 같았다.
5 You have not gone up into the gaps or built up the wall for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in Yahweh’s day.Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither built up the wall for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in the day of Jehovah.너희는 무너진 곳에 올라가지도 않았고, 여호와의 날에 전쟁에서 맞서 싸우도록 이스라엘 집을 위해 성벽을 쌓지도 않았다.
6 They have seen falsehood and lying divination, who say, ‘ Yahweh says;’ but Yahweh has not sent them. They have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.They have seen falsehood and lying divination, that say, Jehovah saith; but Jehovah hath not sent them: and they have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.그들은 헛된 것과 거짓된 점괘를 보았다. 그들은 여호와께서 말씀하셨다고 하지만, 여호와께서 그들을 보내지 않으셨다. 그러면서도 그들은 그 말이 이루어지기를 사람들이 바라게 만들었다.
7 Haven’t you seen a false vision, and haven’t you spoken a lying divination, in that you say, ‘ Yahweh says;’ but I have not spoken?”Have ye not seen a false vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, in that ye say, Jehovah saith; albeit I have not spoken?너희가 여호와께서 말씀하셨다고 하지만 내가 말하지 않았는데, 너희가 본 것은 헛된 환상이 아니었느냐? 너희가 말한 것은 거짓된 점괘가 아니었느냐?
8 “‘ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “ Because you have spoken falsehood and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you,” says the Lord Yahweh.Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken falsehood, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord Jehovah.그러므로 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 너희가 거짓을 말하고 헛된 것을 보았으니, 보아라, 내가 너희를 대적한다. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
9 “ My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who utter lying divinations. They will not be in the council of my people, neither will they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither will they enter into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”And my hand shall be against the prophets that see false visions, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the council of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.내 손이 헛된 환상을 보고 거짓 점을 치는 선지자들을 대적할 것이다. 그들은 내 백성의 회의에 들지 못하고, 이스라엘 집의 명부에 기록되지도 못하며, 이스라엘 땅에 들어가지도 못할 것이다. 그제야 너희는 내가 주 여호와인 줄 알 것이다.
10 “‘ Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, “ Peace;” and there is no peace. When one builds up a wall, behold, they plaster it with whitewash.Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there is no peace; and when one buildeth up a wall, behold, they daub it with untempered mortar:이는 그들이 내 백성을 미혹하여, 평안이 없는데도 평안하다 하였기 때문이다. 한 사람이 담을 쌓으면, 보아라, 그들은 회칠로 덧칠한다.
11 Tell those who plaster it with whitewash that it will fall. There will be an overflowing shower; and you, great hailstones, will fall. A stormy wind will tear it.say unto them that daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.회칠로 덧칠하는 자들에게 그 담이 무너질 것이라고 말하여라. 쏟아지는 폭우가 내리고, 큰 우박덩이가 떨어지며, 사나운 바람이 그것을 찢을 것이다.
12 Behold, when the wall has fallen, won’t it be said to you, “ Where is the plaster with which you have plastered it?”Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?보아라, 그 담이 무너질 때, 사람들이 너희에게 "너희가 칠한 회칠은 어디 있느냐?" 하고 말하지 않겠느냐?
13 “‘ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “ I will even tear it with a stormy wind in my wrath. There will be an overflowing shower in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my wrath; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.그러므로 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 내가 진노하여 사나운 바람으로 그것을 찢고, 분노하여 쏟아지는 폭우를 내리며, 진노하여 큰 우박덩이로 그것을 멸할 것이다.
14 So I will break down the wall that you have plastered with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be uncovered. It will fall, and you will be consumed in the middle of it. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be uncovered; and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.이렇게 나는 너희가 회칠한 담을 헐어 땅에 무너뜨려 그 기초가 드러나게 하겠다. 그것이 무너질 때 너희도 그 가운데서 멸망할 것이니, 그제야 너희는 내가 여호와인 줄 알 것이다.
15 Thus I will accomplish my wrath on the wall, and on those who have plastered it with whitewash. I will tell you, ‘ The wall is no more, nor those who plastered it —Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered mortar; and I will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;이렇게 나는 그 담과 회칠한 자들에게 내 진노를 다 쏟겠다. 그리고 너희에게 말하겠다. 그 담도 없어졌고 그것을 칠한 자들도 없어졌다.
16 to wit, the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace,’” says the Lord Yahweh.’”to wit, the prophets of Israel that prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and that see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord Jehovah.곧 예루살렘에 관해 예언하며, 평안이 없는데도 그 성을 위해 평안의 환상을 보았다고 하는 이스라엘의 선지자들이다. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
17 You, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them,And thou, son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, that prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,사람아, 너는 자기 마음대로 예언하는 네 백성의 딸들을 향해 얼굴을 돌리고 그들을 향해 예언하여라.
18 and say, “ The Lord Yahweh says: ‘ Woe to the women who sew magic bands on all elbows and make veils for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of my people and save souls alive for yourselves?and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the women that sew pillows upon all elbows, and make kerchiefs for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and save souls alive for yourselves?말하여라. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 모든 사람의 팔뚝에 부적 띠를 꿰매고, 영혼을 사냥하려고 온갖 키의 사람들 머리에 쓸 두건을 만드는 여인들에게 화가 있을 것이다. 너희가 내 백성의 영혼을 사냥하면서 너희 자신을 위해서는 영혼을 살려 두려느냐?
19 You have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to kill the souls who should not die and to save the souls alive who should not live, by your lying to my people who listen to lies.’And ye have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hearken unto lies.너희가 보리 몇 줌과 빵 몇 조각을 위하여 내 백성 가운데서 나를 모독하였다. 거짓을 듣는 내 백성에게 거짓말함으로써, 죽지 않아야 할 영혼을 죽이고 살지 못할 영혼을 살리려 하였다.
20 “ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘ Behold, I am against your magic bands, with which you hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms. I will let the souls fly free, even the souls whom you ensnare like birds.Wherefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.그러므로 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 보아라, 내가 너희의 부적 띠를 대적한다. 너희는 그것으로 영혼들을 새처럼 날리듯 사냥하니, 내가 그것을 너희 팔에서 찢어 내고, 너희가 새처럼 날리듯 사냥하던 그 영혼들을 풀어 주겠다.
21 I will also tear your veils and deliver my people out of your hand; and they will no longer be in your hand to be ensnared. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.또 내가 너희의 두건도 찢고 내 백성을 너희 손에서 건져 내겠다. 그들이 다시는 너희 손에 사냥거리로 잡히지 않을 것이니, 그제야 너희는 내가 여호와인 줄 알 것이다.
22 Because with lies you have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive.Because with lies ye have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad, and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive;너희가 거짓말로 의인의 마음을 근심하게 하였는데, 나는 그를 슬프게 하지 않았다. 또 너희가 악인의 손을 굳세게 하여, 그가 악한 길에서 돌이켜 생명을 얻지 못하게 하였다.
23 Therefore you shall no more see false visions nor practice divination. I will deliver my people out of your hand. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’”Therefore ye shall no more see false visions, nor divine divinations: and I will deliver my people out of your hand; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.그러므로 너희가 다시는 헛된 환상을 보거나 점을 치지 못할 것이다. 내가 내 백성을 너희 손에서 건져 내겠다. 그제야 너희는 내가 여호와인 줄 알 것이다.
