1 In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,열두째 해 열두째 달 초하루에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르셨다.
2 “ Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and tell him, ‘ You were likened to a young lion of the nations; yet you are as a monster in the seas. You broke out with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers.’”Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou wast likened unto a young lion of the nations: yet art thou as a monster in the seas; and thou didst break forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.사람아, 이집트 왕 바로를 두고 애가를 지어 그에게 말하여라. 너는 여러 나라 가운데서 젊은 사자 같다고 여겨졌으나, 실은 바다 가운데 있는 괴물과 같아서 네 강들을 마구 헤집고 발로 물을 휘저어 그 강물을 더럽혔다.
3 The Lord Yahweh says: “ I will spread out my net on you with a company of many peoples. They will bring you up in my net.Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will spread out my net upon thee with a company of many peoples; and they shall bring thee up in my net.주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 내가 많은 백성의 무리를 거느리고 너 위에 내 그물을 펼치겠으니, 그들이 내 그물로 너를 끌어올릴 것이다.
4 I will leave you on the land. I will cast you out on the open field, and will cause all the birds of the sky to settle on you. I will satisfy the animals of the whole earth with you.And I will leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the birds of the heavens to settle upon thee, and I will satisfy the beasts of the whole earth with thee.내가 너를 땅에 내버리고 넓은 들판에 던져, 하늘의 모든 새를 네 위에 내려앉게 하고 온 땅의 짐승들이 너를 배불리 먹게 하겠다.
5 I will lay your flesh on the mountains, and fill the valleys with your height.And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with thy height.내가 네 살을 산들 위에 늘어놓고 네 시체로 골짜기들을 채우겠다.
6 I will also water the land in which you swim with your blood, even to the mountains. The watercourses will be full of you.I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the watercourses shall be full of thee.또 네가 헤엄치던 땅을 네 피로 적셔 산들에까지 이르게 하겠으니, 시냇물들이 너로 가득 찰 것이다.
7 When I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens and make its stars dark. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon won’t give its light.And when I shall extinguish thee, I will cover the heavens, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give its light.내가 너를 꺼버릴 때에 하늘을 가리고 그 별들을 어둡게 하며, 해를 구름으로 가리고 달이 빛을 내지 못하게 하겠다.
8 I will make all the bright lights of the sky dark over you, and set darkness on your land,” says the Lord Yahweh.All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord Jehovah.하늘의 모든 밝은 빛을 내가 너 위에서 어둡게 하고 네 땅에 어둠을 덮겠다. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
9 “ I will also trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.I will also vex the hearts of many peoples, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.내가 너의 멸망을 네가 알지 못하던 나라들 가운데로, 여러 지방으로 가져갈 때에, 많은 백성의 마음을 어지럽게 하겠다.
10 Yes, I will make many peoples amazed at you, and their kings will be horribly afraid for you, when I brandish my sword before them. They will tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your fall.”Yea, I will make many peoples amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.그렇다. 내가 너로 인하여 많은 백성을 놀라게 하고, 내가 그들 앞에서 내 칼을 휘두를 때에 그들의 왕들이 너로 인하여 몹시 두려워하겠으며, 네가 쓰러지는 날에 그들이 저마다 제 목숨 때문에 순간순간 떨 것이다.
11 For the Lord Yahweh says: “ The sword of the king of Babylon will come on you.For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee.주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 바벨론 왕의 칼이 네게 임할 것이다.
12 I will cause your multitude to fall by the swords of the mighty. They are all the ruthless of the nations. They will bring the pride of Egypt to nothing, and all its multitude will be destroyed.By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall; the terrible of the nations are they all: and they shall bring to nought the pride of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.내가 용사들의 칼로 네 무리를 쓰러뜨리겠으니, 그들은 모두 여러 나라 가운데서 가장 무서운 자들이다. 그들이 이집트의 교만을 꺾고 그 모든 무리를 멸망시킬 것이다.
13 I will destroy also all its animals from beside many waters. The foot of man won’t trouble them any more, nor will the hoofs of animals trouble them.I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside many waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.내가 또 많은 물가에서 그 모든 짐승을 없애겠으니, 다시는 사람의 발이 그 물을 휘젓지 못하고 짐승의 굽도 그것을 흐리지 못할 것이다.
14 Then I will make their waters clear, and cause their rivers to run like oil,” says the Lord Yahweh.Then will I make their waters clear, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord Jehovah.그때에 내가 그들의 물을 맑게 하고 그 강들을 기름같이 흐르게 하겠다. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
15 “ When I make the land of Egypt desolate and waste, a land destitute of that of which it was full, when I strike all those who dwell therein, then they will know that I am Yahweh.When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate and waste, a land destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am Jehovah.내가 이집트 땅을 황폐하고 폐허가 되게 하여 가득하던 것이 텅 비게 하고 그 안에 사는 모든 자를 칠 때에, 그제야 그들이 내가 여호와인 줄을 알 것이다.
16 “‘“ This is the lamentation with which they will lament. The daughters of the nations will lament with this. They will lament with it over Egypt, and over all her multitude,” says the Lord Yahweh.’”This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament; the daughters of the nations shall lament therewith; over Egypt, and over all her multitude, shall they lament therewith, saith the Lord Jehovah.이것이 사람들이 부를 애가이니, 여러 나라의 딸들이 이 애가로 슬피 울 것이다. 이집트와 그 모든 무리를 두고 이 애가로 슬피 울 것이다. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
17 Also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,또 열두째 해 그달 열닷새 날에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르셨다.
18 “ Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her and the daughters of the famous nations, to the lower parts of the earth, with those who go down into the pit.Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.사람아, 이집트의 무리를 두고 슬피 울며, 그와 이름난 나라들의 딸들을 구덩이로 내려가는 자들과 함께 땅 깊은 곳으로 내던져라.
19 Whom do you pass in beauty? Go down, and be laid with the uncircumcised.Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised.네가 누구보다 아름답다고 하느냐? 내려가서 할례받지 못한 자들과 함께 누워라.
20 They will fall among those who are slain by the sword. She is delivered to the sword. Draw her away with all her multitudes.They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword; draw her away and all her multitudes.그들이 칼에 죽임당한 자들 가운데로 쓰러질 것이다. 그가 칼에 넘겨졌으니, 그와 그 모든 무리를 끌어내려라.
21 The strong among the mighty will speak to him out of the middle of Sheol with those who help him. They have gone down. The uncircumcised lie still, slain by the sword.The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of Sheol with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie still, even the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.용사들 가운데 강한 자들이 스올 한가운데서 그를 돕는 자들과 함께 그에게 말하기를, 그들이 이미 내려가서 누워 잠잠하니, 할례받지 못한 자들이요 칼에 죽임당한 자들이라 할 것이다.
22 “Asshur is there with all her company. Her graves are all around her. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword,Asshur is there and all her company; her graves are round about her; all of them slain, fallen by the sword;거기에 앗수르와 그 온 무리가 있으니, 그 무덤들이 그를 둘러싸고 있고, 그들이 다 죽임당하여 칼에 쓰러진 자들이다.

24 “ There is Elam and all her multitude around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who have gone down uncircumcised into the lower parts of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living, and have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit.There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living, and have borne their shame with them that go down to the pit.거기에 엘람과 그 모든 무리가 그 무덤을 둘러싸고 있으니, 그들은 다 죽임당하여 칼에 쓰러진 자들로서, 할례받지 못한 채 땅 깊은 곳으로 내려간 자들이다. 그들은 살아 있는 자들의 땅에 두려움을 일으켰으나 이제 구덩이로 내려가는 자들과 함께 자기의 수치를 짊어졌다.
25 They have made Elam a bed among the slain with all her multitude. Her graves are around her, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for their terror was caused in the land of the living, and they have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit. He is put among those who are slain.They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude; her graves are round about her; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for their terror was caused in the land of the living, and they have borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that are slain.사람들이 죽임당한 자들 가운데에 그와 그 모든 무리를 위하여 자리를 마련하였으니, 그 무덤들이 그를 둘러쌌다. 그들은 다 할례받지 못한 채 칼에 죽임당한 자들이라, 살아 있는 자들의 땅에 두려움을 일으켰으나 구덩이로 내려가는 자들과 함께 자기의 수치를 짊어졌으니, 그가 죽임당한 자들 가운데 놓였다.
26 “ There is Meshech, Tubal, and all their multitude. Their graves are around them, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for they caused their terror in the land of the living.There is Meshech, Tubal, and all their multitude; their graves are round about them; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for they caused their terror in the land of the living.거기에 메섹과 두발과 그 모든 무리가 있으니, 그 무덤들이 그들을 둘러쌌다. 그들은 다 할례받지 못한 채 칼에 죽임당한 자들이라, 살아 있는 자들의 땅에 두려움을 일으키던 자들이다.
27 They will not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war and have laid their swords under their heads. Their iniquities are on their bones; for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, that are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, and have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are upon their bones; for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.그들은 할례받지 못한 채 쓰러진 용사들과 함께 눕지 못하리니, 그 용사들은 무기를 가지고 스올로 내려가 칼을 머리 밑에 두었고 그 죄악이 그 뼈 위에 있는 자들로서, 살아 있는 자들의 땅에서 용사들의 두려움이 되던 자들이다.
28 “But you will be broken among the uncircumcised, and will lie with those who are slain by the sword.But thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain by the sword.그러나 너는 할례받지 못한 자들 가운데서 꺾여, 칼에 죽임당한 자들과 함께 누울 것이다.
29 “ There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, who in their might are laid with those who are slain by the sword. They will lie with the uncircumcised, and with those who go down to the pit.There is Edom, her kings and all her princes, who in their might are laid with them that are slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.거기에 에돔과 그 왕들과 그 모든 고관이 있으니, 그들이 그 힘에도 불구하고 칼에 죽임당한 자들과 함께 뉘었으며, 할례받지 못한 자들과 구덩이로 내려가는 자들과 함께 누울 것이다.
30 “ There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who have gone down with the slain. They are put to shame in the terror which they caused by their might. 31 “ Pharaoh will see them and will be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword,” says the Lord Yahweh.Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah.바로가 그들을 보고 자기의 모든 무리로 인하여 위로를 받을 것이니, 곧 칼에 죽임당한 바로와 그의 온 군대다. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
32 “ For I have put his terror in the land of the living. He will be laid among the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude,” says the Lord Yahweh.For I have put his terror in the land of the living; and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord Jehovah.내가 살아 있는 자들의 땅에 그의 두려움을 두었으나, 그가 할례받지 못한 자들 가운데, 곧 칼에 죽임당한 자들과 함께 뉘리니, 곧 바로와 그의 모든 무리다. 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
