1 In the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, some of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Yahweh, and sat before me.And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Jehovah, and sat before me.일곱째 해 다섯째 달 십일에 이스라엘의 몇몇 장로들이 여호와께 여쭈러 와서 내 앞에 앉았다.
2 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,그때 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르셨다.
3 “ Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and tell them, ‘ The Lord Yahweh says: “ Is it to inquire of me that you have come? As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “ I will not be inquired of by you.”’Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Is it to inquire of me that ye are come? As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will not be inquired of by you.사람아, 이스라엘의 장로들에게 일러 말하여라. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 너희가 내게 여쭈러 왔느냐? 내가 살아 있으니, 주 여호와의 말이다. 나는 너희에게 여쭘을 받지 않겠다.
4 “ Will you judge them, son of man? Will you judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers.Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers;사람아, 네가 그들을 심판하겠느냐? 그들을 심판하겠느냐? 그들의 조상들이 저지른 가증한 일들을 그들에게 알게 하여라.
5 Tell them, ‘ The Lord Yahweh says: “ In the day when I chose Israel, and swore to the offspring of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, ‘ I am Yahweh your God;’and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the day when I chose Israel, and sware unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I sware unto them, saying, I am Jehovah your God;그들에게 일러라. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 내가 이스라엘을 택하던 날에, 야곱의 집 자손에게 맹세하고 이집트 땅에서 내 자신을 그들에게 알리며, 그들에게 맹세하여 말하기를, 나는 여호와 너희 하나님이라 하였다.
6 in that day I swore to them to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.in that day I sware unto them, to bring them forth out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.그날에 내가 그들에게 맹세하기를, 그들을 이집트 땅에서 이끌어 내어 내가 그들을 위해 찾아 두었던 땅, 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르며 모든 땅 가운데 영광스러운 그 땅으로 데려가겠다고 하였다.
7 I said to them, ‘Each of you throw away the abominations of his eyes. Don’t defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.’And I said unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am Jehovah your God.내가 그들에게 말하였다. 너희는 저마다 눈에 두고 보던 가증한 것들을 버리고, 이집트의 우상들로 자신을 더럽히지 말아라. 나는 여호와 너희 하나님이다.
8 “‘“ But they rebelled against me and wouldn’t listen to me. They didn’t all throw away the abominations of their eyes. They also didn’t forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the middle of the land of Egypt.But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me; they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.그러나 그들은 내게 반역하고 내 말을 들으려 하지 않았다. 그들은 저마다 눈에 두고 보던 가증한 것들을 버리지 않았고, 이집트의 우상들도 떠나지 않았다. 그래서 나는 이집트 땅 한가운데서 그들에게 내 진노를 쏟아부어 내 분노를 그들에게 이루겠다고 하였다.
9 But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.그러나 나는 내 이름을 위하여 일하였으니, 그들이 살고 있던 그 민족들이 보는 앞에서, 곧 내가 그들을 이집트 땅에서 이끌어 내며 내 자신을 그들에게 알린 그 민족들이 보는 앞에서 내 이름이 더럽혀지지 않게 하려는 것이었다.
10 So I caused them to go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.So I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.그리하여 나는 그들을 이집트 땅에서 나오게 하여 광야로 데려왔다.
11 I gave them my statutes and showed them my ordinances, which if a man does, he will live in them.And I gave them my statutes, and showed them mine ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live in them.내가 그들에게 내 율례를 주고 내 규례를 보여 주었으니, 사람이 그것을 행하면 그로 인해 살게 되는 것이었다.
12 Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Jehovah that sanctifieth them.또한 나는 그들에게 내 안식일들을 주어 나와 그들 사이의 표징이 되게 하였으니, 그들을 거룩하게 하는 이가 나 여호와임을 그들이 알게 하려는 것이었다.
13 “‘“ But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They didn’t walk in my statutes and they rejected my ordinances, which if a man keeps, he shall live in them. They greatly profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them.But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they rejected mine ordinances, which if a man keep, he shall live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.그러나 이스라엘 집은 광야에서 내게 반역하였다. 그들은 내 율례대로 걷지 않고 내 규례를 거절하였으니, 사람이 그것을 지키면 그로 인해 살게 되는 것인데도 그러하였고, 내 안식일들을 크게 더럽혔다. 그래서 나는 광야에서 그들에게 내 진노를 쏟아부어 그들을 멸하겠다고 하였다.
14 But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.그러나 나는 내 이름을 위하여 일하였으니, 내가 그들을 이끌어 낸 것을 본 그 민족들이 보는 앞에서 내 이름이 더럽혀지지 않게 하려는 것이었다.
15 Moreover also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands,Moreover also I sware unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;또한 나는 광야에서 그들에게 맹세하기를, 내가 그들에게 준 땅, 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르며 모든 땅 가운데 영광스러운 그 땅으로 그들을 데려가지 않겠다고 하였으니,
16 because they rejected my ordinances, and didn’t walk in my statutes, and profaned my Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.because they rejected mine ordinances, and walked not in my statutes, and profaned my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.그것은 그들이 내 규례를 거절하고 내 율례대로 걷지 않으며 내 안식일들을 더럽혔기 때문이다. 그들의 마음이 자기들의 우상을 따라갔던 것이다.
17 Nevertheless my eye spared them, and I didn’t destroy them. I didn’t make a full end of them in the wilderness.Nevertheless mine eye spared them, and I destroyed them not, neither did I make a full end of them in the wilderness.그래도 내 눈이 그들을 아껴 그들을 멸하지 않았고, 광야에서 그들을 완전히 끝내지도 않았다.
18 I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Don’t walk in the statutes of your fathers. Don’t observe their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols.And I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols.내가 광야에서 그들의 자녀들에게 말하였다. 너희 조상들의 율례대로 걷지 말고, 그들의 규례를 지키지 말며, 그들의 우상들로 자신을 더럽히지 말아라.
19 I am Yahweh your God. Walk in my statutes, keep my ordinances, and do them.I am Jehovah your God: walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them;나는 여호와 너희 하나님이다. 너희는 내 율례대로 걷고 내 규례를 지켜 행하여라.
20 Make my Sabbaths holy. They shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your God.’and hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am Jehovah your God.또 내 안식일들을 거룩하게 하여라. 그것들이 나와 너희 사이의 표징이 되어, 나 여호와가 너희 하나님임을 너희가 알게 하려는 것이다.
21 “‘“ But the children rebelled against me. They didn’t walk in my statutes, and didn’t keep my ordinances to do them, which if a man does, he shall live in them. They profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.But the children rebelled against me; they walked not in my statutes, neither kept mine ordinances to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them; they profaned my sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.그러나 그 자녀들도 내게 반역하였다. 그들은 내 율례대로 걷지 않고 내 규례를 지켜 행하지 않았으니, 사람이 그것을 행하면 그로 인해 살게 되는 것인데도 그러하였고, 내 안식일들을 더럽혔다. 그래서 나는 광야에서 그들에게 내 진노를 쏟아부어 내 분노를 그들에게 이루겠다고 하였다.
22 Nevertheless I withdrew my hand and worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.Nevertheless I withdrew my hand, and wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them forth.그러나 나는 내 손을 거두고 내 이름을 위하여 일하였으니, 내가 그들을 이끌어 낸 것을 본 그 민족들이 보는 앞에서 내 이름이 더럽혀지지 않게 하려는 것이었다.
23 Moreover I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries,Moreover I sware unto them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations, and disperse them through the countries;또한 나는 광야에서 그들에게 맹세하기를, 내가 그들을 민족들 가운데로 흩고 여러 나라로 흩어 버리겠다고 하였으니,
24 because they had not executed my ordinances, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.because they had not executed mine ordinances, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.그것은 그들이 내 규례를 행하지 않고 내 율례를 거절하며 내 안식일들을 더럽히고, 그들의 눈이 자기 조상들의 우상을 따라갔기 때문이다.
25 Moreover also I gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances in which they couldn’t live.Moreover also I gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances wherein they should not live;또한 나는 그들에게 좋지 못한 율례와 그것으로 살 수 없는 규례를 주었다.
26 I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused all that opens the womb to pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am Yahweh.”’and I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am Jehovah.그들이 첫 태를 여는 모든 것을 불 가운데로 지나가게 하는 그 예물로 내가 그들을 더럽게 하였으니, 이는 그들을 황폐하게 하여 마침내 나 여호와임을 그들이 알게 하려는 것이었다.
27 “ Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and tell them, ‘ The Lord Yahweh says: “ Moreover, in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In this moreover have your fathers blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.그러므로 사람아, 이스라엘 집에게 일러 말하여라. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 더욱이 이 일에서도 너희 조상들이 내게 범죄하여 나를 모독하였다.
28 For when I had brought them into the land which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering. There they also made their pleasant aroma, and there they poured out their drink offerings.For when I had brought them into the land, which I sware to give unto them, then they saw every high hill, and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering; there also they made their sweet savor, and they poured out there their drink-offerings.내가 그들에게 주겠다고 맹세한 땅으로 그들을 데려왔을 때, 그들은 모든 높은 언덕과 모든 우거진 나무를 보고 거기서 자기들의 제물을 드렸으며, 거기서 나를 노엽게 하는 예물을 바쳤다. 또 거기서 그들이 향기로운 제물을 사르고 거기서 그들의 전제를 부어 드렸다.
29 Then I said to them, ‘ What does the high place where you go mean?’ So its name is called Bamah to this day.”’Then I said unto them, What meaneth the high place whereunto ye go? So the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.그때 내가 그들에게 말하였다. 너희가 가는 그 산당이 무엇이냐? 그래서 그곳의 이름이 오늘날까지 바마라 불린다.
30 “ Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘ The Lord Yahweh says: “ Do you pollute yourselves in the way of your fathers? Do you play the prostitute after their abominations?Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Do ye pollute yourselves after the manner of your fathers? and play ye the harlot after their abominations?그러므로 이스라엘 집에게 일러라. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 너희가 너희 조상들의 방식대로 자신을 더럽히느냐? 그리고 그들의 가증한 것들을 따라 음행하느냐?
31 When you offer your gifts, when you make your sons pass through the fire, do you pollute yourselves with all your idols to this day? Should I be inquired of by you, house of Israel? As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I will not be inquired of by you!and when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, do ye pollute yourselves with all your idols unto this day? and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will not be inquired of by you;너희가 너희 예물을 드리며 너희 아들들을 불 가운데로 지나가게 할 때, 오늘날까지 너희의 모든 우상으로 자신을 더럽히느냐? 이스라엘 집이여, 그러면서도 내가 너희에게 여쭘을 받겠느냐? 내가 살아 있으니, 주 여호와의 말이다. 나는 너희에게 여쭘을 받지 않겠다.
32 “‘“ That which comes into your mind will not be at all, in that you say, ‘We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.’and that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, in that ye say, We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.너희가 마음에 품은 것, 곧 우리가 다른 민족들처럼, 여러 나라의 족속들처럼 나무와 돌을 섬기겠다고 말하는 그것은 결코 이루어지지 않을 것이다.
33 As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “ surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, I will be king over you.As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, will I be king over you.내가 살아 있으니, 주 여호와의 말이다. 진실로 나는 강한 손과 편 팔과 쏟아부은 진노로 너희를 다스리는 왕이 되겠다.
34 I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out.And I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out;또 내가 강한 손과 편 팔과 쏟아부은 진노로 너희를 민족들 가운데서 이끌어 내고, 너희가 흩어진 여러 나라에서 너희를 모으겠다.
35 I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face.또 내가 너희를 민족들의 광야로 데려가서 거기서 너희와 얼굴을 마주하여 너희를 심판하겠다.
36 Just as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you,” says the Lord Yahweh.Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, saith the Lord Jehovah.내가 이집트 땅 광야에서 너희 조상들을 심판한 것같이, 너희도 그렇게 심판하겠다. 주 여호와의 말이다.
37 “ I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant.And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;내가 너희를 막대기 아래로 지나가게 하고, 너희를 언약의 매임 안으로 데려가겠다.
38 I will purge out from among you the rebels and those who disobey me. I will bring them out of the land where they live, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.”and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.또 내가 너희 가운데서 반역하는 자들과 내게 거역하는 자들을 가려내겠다. 그들이 머물러 사는 땅에서 그들을 이끌어 내겠으나, 그들은 이스라엘 땅에 들어오지 못할 것이다. 그제야 너희가 나 여호와임을 알게 될 것이다.
39 “‘ As for you, house of Israel, the Lord Yahweh says: “ Go, everyone serve his idols, and hereafter also, if you will not listen to me; but you shall no more profane my holy name with your gifts and with your idols.As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Go ye, serve every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me; but my holy name shall ye no more profane with your gifts, and with your idols.이스라엘 집이여, 너희에 관하여는 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 너희가 내 말을 듣지 않으려거든 가서 저마다 자기 우상을 섬겨라. 이후에도 그렇게 하여라. 그러나 너희는 다시는 너희 예물과 너희 우상으로 내 거룩한 이름을 더럽히지 못할 것이다.
40 For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel,” says the Lord Yahweh, “ there all the house of Israel, all of them, shall serve me in the land. There I will accept them, and there I will require your offerings and the first fruits of your offerings, with all your holy things.For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them, serve me in the land: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first-fruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.주 여호와의 말이다. 내 거룩한 산, 곧 이스라엘의 높은 산에서 이스라엘 온 집, 그들 모두가 그 땅에서 나를 섬길 것이다. 거기서 내가 그들을 기쁘게 받겠고, 거기서 내가 너희의 예물과 너희 예물 가운데 첫 열매를 너희의 모든 거룩한 것들과 함께 요구하겠다.
41 I will accept you as a pleasant aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries in which you have been scattered. I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations.As a sweet savor will I accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations.내가 너희를 민족들 가운데서 이끌어 내고 너희가 흩어진 여러 나라에서 너희를 모을 때, 향기로운 제물처럼 너희를 받겠다. 또 내가 민족들이 보는 앞에서 너희를 통하여 거룩하게 되겠다.
42 You will know that I am Yahweh when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I swore to give to your fathers.And ye shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I sware to give unto your fathers.내가 너희를 이스라엘 땅으로, 곧 내가 너희 조상들에게 주겠다고 맹세한 그 나라로 데려갈 때, 너희가 나 여호와임을 알게 될 것이다.
43 There you will remember your ways, and all your deeds in which you have polluted yourselves. Then you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that you have committed.And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have polluted yourselves; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.거기서 너희가 너희의 행위와 너희가 자신을 더럽힌 모든 행동을 기억하고, 너희가 저지른 모든 악한 일로 인하여 너희 자신을 너희 눈앞에서 혐오하게 될 것이다.
44 You will know that I am Yahweh, when I have dealt with you for my name’s sake, not according to your evil ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, you house of Israel,” says the Lord Yahweh.’”And ye shall know that I am Jehovah, when I have dealt with you for my name’s sake, not according to your evil ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.이스라엘 집이여, 내가 너희의 악한 길대로나 너희의 부패한 행동대로가 아니라 내 이름을 위하여 너희를 다룰 때, 너희가 나 여호와임을 알게 될 것이다. 주 여호와의 말이다.
45 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르셨다.
46 “Son of man, set your face toward the south, and preach toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the south.Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the South;사람아, 네 얼굴을 남쪽으로 향하고 남쪽을 향하여 네 말을 떨어뜨리며, 남방 들의 숲을 향하여 예언하여라.
47 Tell the forest of the south, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word: The Lord Yahweh says, “Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it will devour every green tree in you, and every dry tree. The burning flame will not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north will be burned by it.and say to the forest of the South, Hear the word of Jehovah: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burnt thereby.남방의 숲에게 일러라. 여호와의 말씀을 들어라. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 보아라, 내가 네 안에 불을 일으키리니, 그 불이 네 안의 모든 푸른 나무와 모든 마른 나무를 삼킬 것이다. 타오르는 불꽃이 꺼지지 않을 것이며, 남쪽에서 북쪽까지 모든 얼굴이 그로 인해 그을릴 것이다.
48 All flesh will see that I, Yahweh, have kindled it. It will not be quenched.”’”And all flesh shall see that I, Jehovah, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.모든 육체가 나 여호와가 그 불을 일으킨 줄을 알게 될 것이며, 그 불은 꺼지지 않을 것이다.
49 Then I said, “Ah Lord Yahweh! They say of me, ‘Isn’t he a speaker of parables?’”Then said I, Ah Lord Jehovah! they say of me, Is he not a speaker of parables?그때 내가 말하였다. 아, 주 여호와여! 그들이 나를 두고 말하기를, 이 사람은 비유나 말하는 자가 아니냐 합니다.
