1 Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,또 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르셨다.
2 “ Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it,Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,사람아, 네 얼굴을 세일 산으로 향하고 그것을 향해 예언하여
3 and tell it, ‘ The Lord Yahweh says: “ Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against you. I will make you a desolation and an astonishment.and say unto it, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee a desolation and an astonishment.그것에게 말하여라. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 세일 산아, 보아라, 내가 너를 대적한다. 내가 손을 펴서 너를 치고 너를 황폐하게 하며 사람들이 놀랄 곳으로 만들겠다.
4 I will lay your cities waste, and you will be desolate. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.내가 네 성읍들을 폐허로 만들 것이니 네가 황폐하게 될 것이다. 그제야 너는 내가 여호와인 줄 알게 될 것이다.
5 “‘“ Because you have had a perpetual hostility, and have given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end,Because thou hast had a perpetual enmity, and hast given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;네가 영원한 적개심을 품고서, 이스라엘 자손이 재앙을 당하던 때, 곧 그 죄악이 끝에 이르던 때에 그들을 칼의 권세에 넘겨주었기 때문이다.
6 therefore, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “ I will prepare you for blood, and blood will pursue you. Since you have not hated blood, therefore blood will pursue you.therefore, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: since thou hast not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue thee.그러므로 주 여호와의 말씀이다. 내가 살아 있으니 분명히 내가 너를 피 흘림에 내어 줄 것이며 피가 너를 쫓을 것이다. 네가 피 흘리는 일을 미워하지 않았으니 피가 너를 쫓을 것이다.
7 Thus I will make Mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation. I will cut off from it him who passes through and him who returns.Thus will I make mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation; and I will cut off from it him that passeth through and him that returneth.이렇게 내가 세일 산을 사람들이 놀라고 황폐한 곳으로 만들 것이며, 그곳을 오가는 자를 다 끊어 버리겠다.
8 I will fill its mountains with its slain. The slain with the sword will fall in your hills and in your valleys and in all your watercourses.And I will fill its mountains with its slain: in thy hills and in thy valleys and in all thy watercourses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.내가 그 산들을 죽임당한 자들로 가득 채울 것이니, 네 언덕과 골짜기와 모든 시내에 칼에 죽은 자들이 쓰러질 것이다.
9 I will make you a perpetual desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.I will make thee a perpetual desolation, and thy cities shall not be inhabited; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.내가 너를 영원히 황폐하게 하여 네 성읍들에 사람이 살지 못하게 하겠다. 그제야 너희는 내가 여호와인 줄 알게 될 것이다.
10 “‘“ Because you have said, ‘ These two nations and these two countries will be mine, and we will possess it,’ although Yahweh was there,Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas Jehovah was there:네가 말하기를, 이 두 민족과 이 두 나라가 내 것이 될 것이며 우리가 그것을 차지하겠다 하였다. 그러나 거기에는 여호와께서 계셨다.
11 therefore, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “ I will do according to your anger, and according to your envy which you have shown out of your hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.therefore, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast showed out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.그러므로 주 여호와의 말씀이다. 내가 살아 있으니 분명히 네가 그들을 미워하여 드러낸 네 분노와 질투대로 내가 너에게 행할 것이며, 내가 너를 심판할 때에 그들 가운데서 나를 알게 하겠다.
12 You will know that I, Yahweh, have heard all your insults which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, ‘ They have been laid desolate. They have been given to us to devour.’And thou shalt know that I, Jehovah, have heard all thy revilings which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.그제야 너는, 나 여호와가 네가 이스라엘 산들을 향해 내뱉은 모든 모욕의 말을 다 들었음을 알게 될 것이다. 네가 말하기를, 그 산들이 황폐해졌으니 우리에게 삼킬 먹이로 주어졌다 하였다.
13 You have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me. I have heard it.”And ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard it.너희가 입으로 나를 향해 거만하게 떠들며 나를 대적하는 말을 많이 늘어놓았으나, 내가 그것을 다 들었다.
14 The Lord Yahweh says: “ When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 온 땅이 기뻐할 때에 내가 너를 황폐하게 하겠다.
15 As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.’”As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.네가 이스라엘 집의 기업이 황폐해진 것을 보고 기뻐하였으니, 나도 그대로 너에게 행하겠다. 세일 산아, 너와 에돔 전체, 곧 그 모두가 황폐하게 될 것이다. 그제야 그들이 내가 여호와인 줄 알게 될 것이다.
