1 “ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you!Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of Jehovah is risen upon thee.일어나 빛을 비추어라. 네 빛이 이르렀고 여호와의 영광이 네 위에 떠올랐다.
2 For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but Jehovah will arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.보라, 어둠이 땅을 덮을 것이고 짙은 어둠이 만민을 덮을 것이다. 그러나 여호와께서 네 위에 떠오르시고 그분의 영광이 네 위에 나타날 것이다.
3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.And nations shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.뭇 나라가 네 빛으로 나아오고 왕들이 네게서 떠오르는 그 광채로 나아올 것이다.
4 “ Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be carried in arms.Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: they all gather themselves together, they come to thee; thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be carried in the arms.네 눈을 들어 사방을 둘러보아라. 그들이 모두 함께 모여 네게로 온다. 네 아들들이 먼 곳에서 오고 네 딸들이 품에 안겨 올 것이다.
5 Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.Then thou shalt see and be radiant, and thy heart shall thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned unto thee, the wealth of the nations shall come unto thee.그때 네가 보고 환하게 빛날 것이며 네 마음이 설레고 넓어질 것이다. 바다의 풍성함이 네게로 돌아오고 뭇 나라의 재물이 네게로 올 것이기 때문이다.
6 A multitude of camels will cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah. All from Sheba will come. They will bring gold and frankincense, and will proclaim the praises of Yahweh.The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come; they shall bring gold and frankincense, and shall proclaim the praises of Jehovah.수많은 낙타 떼가 네 땅을 덮을 것이고 미디안과 에바의 어린 낙타들이 네게로 올 것이다. 스바에서 모든 사람이 와서 금과 유향을 가져오고 여호와를 찬양할 것이다.
7 All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house.All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee; they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar; and I will glorify the house of my glory.게달의 모든 양 떼가 네게로 모이고 느바욧의 숫양들이 너를 섬길 것이다. 그것들이 내 제단 위에 기쁘게 받으실 제물로 올라올 것이며, 내가 내 영광의 집을 영화롭게 하겠다.
8 “ Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?구름같이 날아오고 보금자리로 돌아가는 비둘기같이 날아오는 이들이 누구냐?
9 Surely the islands will wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far away, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Jehovah thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.참으로 섬들이 나를 기다리며, 다시스의 배들이 앞장서서 네 아들들을 먼 곳에서 데려올 것이다. 그들의 은과 금도 함께 가져올 것이니, 이는 네 하나님 여호와의 이름과 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분을 위함이요, 그분이 너를 영화롭게 하셨기 때문이다.
10 “ Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will serve you; for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you.And foreigners shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favor have I had mercy on thee.이방 사람들이 네 성벽을 쌓고 그들의 왕들이 너를 섬길 것이다. 내가 진노하여 너를 쳤으나 이제 은혜로 너를 긍휼히 여겼기 때문이다.
11 Your gates also shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive.Thy gates also shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive.네 성문은 항상 열려 있어 밤낮으로 닫히지 않을 것이니, 이는 사람들이 뭇 나라의 재물을 네게로 가져오고 그들의 왕들을 사로잡아 끌고 오게 하려 함이다.
12 For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted.For that nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.너를 섬기지 않는 나라와 왕국은 멸망할 것이며, 그런 나라들은 완전히 황폐하게 될 것이다.
13 “ The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress tree, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir-tree, the pine, and the box-tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.레바논의 영광이 네게로 올 것이니, 잣나무와 소나무와 회양목이 함께 와서 내 성소의 자리를 아름답게 할 것이며, 내가 내 발 두는 곳을 영화롭게 하겠다.
14 The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you; and all those who despised you will bow themselves down at the soles of your feet. They will call you Yahweh’s City, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.And the sons of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee The city of Jehovah, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.너를 괴롭히던 자들의 자손이 네게로 몸을 굽혀 나아오고, 너를 멸시하던 모든 자가 네 발바닥 아래 엎드릴 것이다. 그들이 너를 일컬어 '여호와의 성', '이스라엘의 거룩하신 분의 시온'이라 부를 것이다.
15 “ Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man passed through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.네가 버림받고 미움받아 아무도 지나가지 않는 곳이 되었으나, 이제 내가 너를 영원한 자랑이 되게 하고 대대로 이어질 기쁨이 되게 하겠다.
16 You will also drink the milk of the nations, and will nurse from royal breasts. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.Thou shalt also suck the milk of the nations, and shalt suck the breast of kings; and thou shalt know that I, Jehovah, am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.너는 또한 뭇 나라의 젖을 빨고 왕들의 젖을 빨 것이며, 나 여호와가 네 구주요 네 구속자며 야곱의 전능자임을 알게 될 것이다.
17 For bronze I will bring gold; for iron I will bring silver; for wood, bronze, and for stones, iron. I will also make peace your governor, and righteousness your ruler.For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron. I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.내가 놋 대신 금을 가져오고 쇠 대신 은을 가져오며, 나무 대신 놋을, 돌 대신 쇠를 가져오겠다. 또한 내가 화평을 네 다스리는 자로 삼고 의를 네 통치자로 삼겠다.
18 Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor desolation or destruction within your borders; but you will call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, desolation nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.네 땅에서 다시는 폭력이 들리지 않고 네 경계 안에 황폐와 파멸이 없을 것이며, 너는 네 성벽을 '구원'이라 부르고 네 성문을 '찬양'이라 부를 것이다.
19 The sun will be no more your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon give light to you, but Yahweh will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but Jehovah will be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.낮에는 다시 해가 네 빛이 되지 않고 달도 그 광채로 네게 비추지 않을 것이다. 오직 여호와께서 네 영원한 빛이 되시고 네 하나님이 네 영광이 되실 것이다.
20 Your sun will not go down any more, nor will your moon withdraw itself; for Yahweh will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will end.Thy sun shall no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself; for Jehovah will be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.네 해가 다시는 지지 않고 네 달도 물러가지 않을 것이니, 여호와께서 네 영원한 빛이 되시고 네 슬픔의 날들이 끝날 것이다.
21 Then your people will all be righteous. They will inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.Thy people also shall be all righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.네 백성이 다 의롭게 되어 영원히 땅을 차지할 것이니, 그들은 내가 심은 가지요 내 손으로 만든 작품이며, 내가 영광을 받기 위함이다.
22 The little one will become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, Yahweh, will do this quickly in its time.”The little one shall become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation; I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.가장 작은 자가 천 명을 이루고 미약한 자가 강한 나라를 이룰 것이다. 나 여호와가 그때가 되면 속히 이루겠다.
