1 Yahweh says: “ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build to me? Where will I rest?Thus saith Jehovah, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will ye build unto me? and what place shall be my rest?여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. "하늘은 내 보좌요 땅은 내 발판이다. 너희가 나를 위하여 어떤 집을 짓겠느냐? 내가 쉴 곳이 어디겠느냐?
2 For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says Yahweh: “ but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.For all these things hath my hand made, and so all these things came to be, saith Jehovah: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and that trembleth at my word.이 모든 것은 다 내 손이 만든 것이니, 이렇게 하여 이 모든 것이 생겨났다." 여호와께서 말씀하신다. "그러나 내가 돌아볼 사람은 바로 이런 사람이니, 곧 가난하고 마음이 겸손하며 내 말 앞에서 떠는 사람이다.
3 He who kills an ox is as he who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as he who breaks a dog’s neck; he who offers an offering, as he who offers pig’s blood; he who burns frankincense, as he who blesses an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.He that killeth an ox is as he that slayeth a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as he that breaketh a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as he that offereth swine’s blood; he that burneth frankincense, as he that blesseth an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations:소를 잡는 자는 사람을 죽이는 자와 같고, 어린양을 제물로 바치는 자는 개의 목을 꺾는 자와 같으며, 곡식 제물을 드리는 자는 돼지의 피를 바치는 자와 같고, 유향을 사르는 자는 우상을 찬양하는 자와 같다. 참으로 그들은 자기들의 길을 선택하였고, 그들의 마음은 그 가증한 것들을 기뻐한다.
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them, because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they didn’t listen, but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn’t delight.”I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delighted not.그러므로 나도 그들이 당할 환난을 택하고, 그들이 두려워하는 것을 그들에게 내릴 것이다. 이는 내가 불렀을 때에 아무도 대답하지 않았고, 내가 말하였을 때에 듣지 않았으며, 도리어 내 눈에 악한 일을 행하고 내가 기뻐하지 않는 것을 택하였기 때문이다."
5 Hear Yahweh’s word, you who tremble at his word: “ Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name’s sake, have said, ‘Let Yahweh be glorified, that we may see your joy;’ but it is those who shall be disappointed.Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hate you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, have said, Let Jehovah be glorified, that we may see your joy; but it is they that shall be put to shame.여호와의 말씀 앞에서 떠는 너희여, 여호와의 말씀을 들어라. "내 이름 때문에 너희를 미워하고 너희를 쫓아낸 너희 형제들이 말하기를 '여호와께서 영광을 받으시기를, 그래서 너희가 기뻐하는 것을 우리가 보게 되기를' 하였으나, 도리어 수치를 당할 자들은 바로 그들이다.
6 A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Yahweh that repays his enemies what they deserve.A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Jehovah that rendereth recompense to his enemies.성읍에서 들려오는 소란한 소리, 성전에서 들려오는 소리, 여호와께서 자기 원수들에게 보응하시는 소리로구나.
7 “ Before she travailed, she gave birth. Before her pain came, she delivered a son.Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child."그 여인은 진통하기 전에 해산하였고, 산고가 이르기 전에 아들을 낳았다.
8 Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she gave birth to her children.Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? shall a nation be brought forth at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.누가 이런 일을 들어보았으며, 누가 이런 일을 보았느냐? 한 나라가 어찌 하루에 태어나겠으며, 한 민족이 어찌 한순간에 생겨나겠느냐? 그러나 시온은 진통하자마자 곧 그 자녀를 낳았다.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to be delivered?” says Yahweh. “ Shall I who cause to give birth shut the womb?” says your God.Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith Jehovah: shall I that cause to bring forth shut the womb? saith thy God.내가 해산하게 하면서 낳지 못하게 하겠느냐?" 여호와께서 말씀하신다. "낳게 하는 내가 어찌 태를 닫겠느냐?" 너의 하나님께서 말씀하신다.
10 “ Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her;Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her;"예루살렘을 사랑하는 너희여, 모두 그와 함께 기뻐하고 그를 위하여 즐거워하여라. 예루살렘 때문에 슬퍼하던 너희여, 모두 그와 함께 기쁨으로 즐거워하여라.
11 that you may nurse and be satisfied at the comforting breasts; that you may drink deeply, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.”that ye may suck and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.이는 너희가 그 위로의 품에서 젖을 빨고 만족하기 위함이며, 그 영광의 풍성함을 깊이 마시고 즐거워하기 위함이다."
12 For Yahweh says, “ Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream, and you will nurse. You will be carried on her side, and will be dandled on her knees.For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream: and ye shall suck thereof; ye shall be borne upon the side, and shall be dandled upon the knees.여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. "보아라, 내가 그에게 평강을 강같이 베풀고, 못 나라의 영광을 넘치는 시내처럼 베풀 것이니, 너희가 젖을 빨 것이다. 너희가 그 옆구리에 안기고 그 무릎 위에서 어를 받을 것이다.
13 As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.어머니가 자기 자식을 위로하듯이, 내가 너희를 위로할 것이니, 너희가 예루살렘에서 위로를 받을 것이다."
14 You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. Yahweh’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.And ye shall see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the tender grass: and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.너희가 이것을 보면 너희 마음이 기뻐하고, 너희 뼈가 연한 풀처럼 무성할 것이다. 여호와의 손이 그 종들에게 나타날 것이며, 그는 자기 원수들에게는 진노하실 것이다.
15 For, behold, Yahweh will come with fire, and his chariots will be like the whirlwind; to give his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.For, behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.보아라, 여호와께서 불을 가지고 오실 것이며, 그의 병거는 회오리바람 같을 것이니, 맹렬한 진노로 갚으시고 불꽃으로 책망하실 것이다.
16 For Yahweh will execute judgment by fire and by his sword on all flesh; and those slain by Yahweh will be many.For by fire will Jehovah execute judgment, and by his sword, upon all flesh; and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.여호와께서 불로 모든 육체를 심판하시며 칼로 심판하실 것이니, 여호와께 죽임을 당할 자가 많을 것이다.
17 “Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go to the gardens, following one in the middle, eating pig’s meat, abominable things, and the mouse, they shall come to an end together,” says Yahweh.They that sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go unto the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, they shall come to an end together, saith Jehovah."동산으로 들어가려고 자기를 거룩하게 하고 정결하게 하면서, 그 가운데 있는 한 사람을 따라가, 돼지고기와 가증한 것과 쥐를 먹는 자들은 다 함께 끝장이 날 것이다." 여호와께서 말씀하신다.
18 “ For I know their works and their thoughts. The time comes that I will gather all nations and languages, and they will come, and will see my glory.For I know their works and their thoughts: the time cometh, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and shall see my glory."나는 그들의 행위와 생각을 안다. 때가 이르면 내가 모든 나라와 언어가 다른 백성을 모을 것이니, 그들이 와서 나의 영광을 볼 것이다.
19 “ I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to far-away islands, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.And I will set a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.내가 그들 가운데 한 표징을 세우고, 그들 가운데서 도피한 자들을 못 나라로 보낼 것이니, 곧 다시스와 뿔과 룻과 활을 당기는 자들과 두발과 야완과 멀리 떨어진 섬들, 곧 내 명성을 듣지 못하고 내 영광을 보지 못한 곳으로 보낼 것이다. 그러면 그들이 못 나라 가운데 나의 영광을 선포할 것이다.
20 They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to Yahweh, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules, and on camels, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says Yahweh, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into Yahweh’s house.And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations for an oblation unto Jehovah, upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith Jehovah, as the children of Israel bring their oblation in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.그리고 이스라엘 자손이 정결한 그릇에 곡식 제물을 담아 여호와의 집에 가져오듯이, 그들이 너희의 모든 형제를 못 나라에서 데려와 여호와께 예물로 바칠 것이니, 말과 병거와 가마와 노새와 낙타에 태워 나의 거룩한 산 예루살렘으로 데려올 것이다." 여호와께서 말씀하신다.
21 Of them I will also select priests and Levites,” says Yahweh.And of them also will I take for priests and for Levites, saith Jehovah."내가 그들 가운데서도 얼마를 택하여 제사장과 레위 사람으로 삼을 것이다." 여호와께서 말씀하신다.
22 “ For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me,” says Yahweh, “ so your offspring and your name shall remain.For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain."내가 만들 새 하늘과 새 땅이 내 앞에 늘 있을 것같이, 너희의 자손과 너희의 이름도 늘 있을 것이다." 여호와께서 말씀하신다.
23 It shall happen that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before me,” says Yahweh.And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith Jehovah."이렇게 되리니, 매월 초하루와 매 안식일마다 모든 육체가 내 앞에 나아와 경배할 것이다." 여호와께서 말씀하신다.
24 “ They will go out, and look at the dead bodies of the men who have transgressed against me; for their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”And they shall go forth, and look upon the dead bodies of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh."그들이 나가서, 나를 거역하여 범죄한 사람들의 시체를 볼 것이니, 그들의 벌레가 죽지 않고 그들의 불이 꺼지지 않아, 모든 사람에게 혐오의 대상이 될 것이다."
