1 “ Listen to me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek Yahweh. Look to the rock you were cut from, and to the quarry you were dug from.Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek Jehovah: look unto the rock whence ye were hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye were digged.의를 따르며 여호와를 찾는 너희는 내 말을 들으라. 너희가 떠내어진 그 반석과 너희가 파내어진 그 구덩이를 바라보라.
2 Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for when he was but one I called him, I blessed him, and made him many.Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many.너희 조상 아브라함과 너희를 낳은 사라를 바라보라. 그가 홀로 한 사람이었을 때에 내가 그를 불러 복을 주어 그를 번성하게 하였노라.
3 For Yahweh has comforted Zion. He has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Yahweh. Joy and gladness will be found in them, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.For Jehovah hath comforted Zion; he hath comforted all her waste places, and hath made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Jehovah; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.여호와께서 시온을 위로하셨고 그 모든 황폐한 곳을 위로하셨으며, 그 광야를 에덴같이, 그 사막을 여호와의 동산같이 만드셨으니, 그 안에서 기쁨과 즐거움과 감사와 노래하는 소리가 있으리라.
4 “ Listen to me, my people; and hear me, my nation, for a law will go out from me, and I will establish my justice for a light to the peoples.Attend unto me, O my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall go forth from me, and I will establish my justice for a light of the peoples.내 백성아, 내게 주의를 기울이라. 내 나라야, 내게 귀를 기울이라. 율법이 내게서 나가겠고 내가 내 공의를 세워 뭇 백성의 빛이 되게 하리라.
5 My righteousness is near. My salvation has gone out, and my arms will judge the peoples. The islands will wait for me, and they will trust my arm.My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the peoples; the isles shall wait for me, and on mine arm shall they trust.내 의가 가까웠고 내 구원이 나아갔으며 내 팔이 뭇 백성을 심판하리니, 섬들이 나를 기다리며 내 팔을 의지하리라.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens will vanish away like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment. Its inhabitants will die in the same way, but my salvation will be forever, and my righteousness will not be abolished.Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.너희 눈을 들어 하늘을 보고 그 아래 땅을 살피라. 하늘은 연기처럼 사라지고 땅은 옷처럼 낡으며 그 안에 사는 자들도 그같이 죽으려니와, 내 구원은 영원하고 내 의는 폐하여지지 아니하리라.
7 “ Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law. Don’t fear the reproach of men, and don’t be dismayed at their insults.Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye dismayed at their revilings.의를 아는 너희, 마음에 내 율법을 둔 백성아, 내 말을 들으라. 사람의 비방을 두려워하지 말고 그들의 모욕에 놀라지 말라.
8 For the moth will eat them up like a garment, and the worm will eat them like wool; but my righteousness will be forever, and my salvation to all generations.”For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation unto all generations.좀이 옷을 먹듯이 그들을 먹을 것이며 벌레가 양털을 먹듯이 그들을 먹으려니와, 내 의는 영원하고 내 구원은 대대에 이르리라.
9 Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of Yahweh! Awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn’t it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster?Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?여호와의 팔이여, 깨어나라, 깨어나라, 힘을 입으라. 옛적의 날들, 오래전 세대들에게처럼 깨어나라. 라합을 조각조각 베시고 그 괴물을 찌르신 이가 당신이 아니십니까?
10 Isn’t it you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?Is it not thou that driedst up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that madest the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?바다를, 큰 깊음의 물을 마르게 하시고 바다 깊은 곳을 길로 만들어 구속받은 자들이 건너게 하신 이가 당신이 아니십니까?
11 Those ransomed by Yahweh will return, and come with singing to Zion. Everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.여호와께 속량받은 자들이 돌아와 노래하며 시온에 이르리니, 영원한 기쁨이 그들의 머리 위에 있으리라. 그들이 즐거움과 기쁨을 얻으리니 슬픔과 탄식이 달아나리라.
12 “ I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou art afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass;나 곧 내가 너희를 위로하는 이라. 너는 누구이기에 죽을 사람을 두려워하며 풀같이 되고 말 사람의 아들을 두려워하느냐?
13 Have you forgotten Yahweh your Maker, who stretched out the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth? Do you live in fear continually all day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he prepares to destroy? Where is the fury of the oppressor?and hast forgotten Jehovah thy Maker, that stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fearest continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he maketh ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?어찌하여 하늘을 펴시고 땅의 기초를 놓으신 너의 창조주 여호와를 잊었으며, 압제하는 자가 멸하려고 준비할 때에 그 진노 때문에 종일 끊임없이 두려워하느냐? 그러나 압제하는 자의 진노가 어디 있느냐?
14 The captive exile will speedily be freed. He will not die and go down into the pit. His bread won’t fail.The captive exile shall speedily be loosed; and he shall not die and go down into the pit, neither shall his bread fail.사로잡혀 유배된 자가 속히 풀려나리니, 그는 죽어 구덩이로 내려가지 아니하며 그의 양식이 떨어지지도 아니하리라.
15 For I am Yahweh your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar. Yahweh of Armies is his name.For I am Jehovah thy God, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar: Jehovah of hosts is his name.나는 네 하나님 여호와니, 바다를 휘저어 그 물결이 으르렁거리게 하는 이라. 그의 이름은 만군의 여호와니라.
16 I have put my words in your mouth and have covered you in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and tell Zion, ‘ You are my people.’”And I have put my words in thy mouth, and have covered thee in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.내가 내 말을 네 입에 두고 내 손 그늘로 너를 덮었나니, 이는 내가 하늘을 펴고 땅의 기초를 놓으며 시온에게 '너는 내 백성이라' 말하려 함이라.
17 Awake, awake! Stand up, Jerusalem, you who have drunk from Yahweh’s hand the cup of his wrath. You have drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, that hast drunk at the hand of Jehovah the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.예루살렘아, 깨어나라, 깨어나라, 일어서라. 너는 여호와의 손에서 그 진노의 잔을 마셨고 비틀거리게 하는 잔의 대접을 마셔 다 비웠도다.
18 There is no one to guide her among all the sons to whom she has given birth; and there is no one who takes her by the hand among all the sons whom she has brought up.There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand among all the sons that she hath brought up.그가 낳은 모든 아들 가운데 그를 인도할 자가 없으며 그가 길러낸 모든 아들 가운데 그의 손을 잡아 줄 자가 없도다.
19 These two things have happened to you — who will grieve with you?— desolation and destruction, and famine and the sword. How can I comfort you?These two things are befallen thee, who shall bemoan thee? desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword; how shall I comfort thee?이 두 가지 일이 네게 닥쳤으니 누가 너를 위하여 슬퍼하랴? 황폐와 멸망과 기근과 칼이로다. 내가 어떻게 너를 위로하랴?
20 Your sons have fainted. They lie at the head of all the streets, like an antelope in a net. They are full of Yahweh’s wrath, the rebuke of your God.Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of Jehovah, the rebuke of thy God.네 아들들이 기진하여 그물에 걸린 영양같이 모든 거리 어귀에 쓰러져 있으니, 그들이 여호와의 진노와 네 하나님의 책망으로 가득하도다.
21 Therefore now hear this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:그러므로 너 고난당한 자, 포도주가 아니라도 취한 자여, 이제 이것을 들으라.
22 Your Lord Yahweh, your God who pleads the cause of his people, says, “ Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath. You will not drink it any more.Thus saith thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; thou shalt no more drink it again:네 주 여호와, 곧 자기 백성의 송사를 변호하시는 네 하나님께서 이같이 말씀하시느니라. "보라, 내가 비틀거리게 하는 잔, 곧 내 진노의 잔의 대접을 네 손에서 거두었으니, 네가 다시는 그것을 마시지 아니하리라.
23 I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, ‘ Bow down, that we may walk over you;’ and you have laid your back as the ground, like a street to those who walk over.”and I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee, that have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over; and thou hast laid thy back as the ground, and as the street, to them that go over.내가 그것을 너를 괴롭게 하던 자들의 손에 두리니, 그들은 네 영혼에게 '엎드리라, 우리가 밟고 지나가리라' 하던 자들이라. 너는 네 등을 땅처럼, 거리처럼 펴서 밟고 지나가게 하였도다."
