2 They have gone up to Bayith, and to Dibon, to the high places, to weep. Moab wails over Nebo and over Medeba. Baldness is on all of their heads. Every beard is cut off.They are gone up to Bayith, and to Dibon, to the high places, to weep: Moab waileth over Nebo, and over Medeba; on all their heads is baldness, every beard is cut off.그들이 바잇과 디본으로, 산당으로 올라가 운다. 모압은 느보와 메드바를 두고 통곡한다. 그들 모두의 머리는 대머리가 되고, 모든 수염이 잘렸다.
3 In their streets, they clothe themselves in sackcloth. In their streets and on their housetops, everyone wails, weeping abundantly.In their streets they gird themselves with sackcloth; on their housetops, and in their broad places, every one waileth, weeping abundantly.거리에서 그들은 굵은 베옷을 두른다. 거리에서나 지붕 위에서나 모두가 통곡하며 하염없이 운다.
4 Heshbon cries out with Elealeh. Their voice is heard even to Jahaz. Therefore the armed men of Moab cry aloud. Their souls tremble within them.And Heshbon crieth out, and Elealeh; their voice is heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed men of Moab cry aloud; his soul trembleth within him.헤스본과 엘르알레가 부르짖어, 그 소리가 야하스까지 들린다. 그래서 모압의 무장한 군사들도 크게 부르짖고, 그들의 마음이 속에서 떨고 있다.
5 My heart cries out for Moab! Her nobles flee to Zoar, to Eglath Shelishiyah; for they go up by the ascent of Luhith with weeping; for on the way to Horonaim, they raise up a cry of destruction.My heart crieth out for Moab; her nobles flee unto Zoar, to Eglath-shelishi-yah: for by the ascent of Luhith with weeping they go up; for in the way of Horonaim they raise up a cry of destruction.내 마음이 모압을 위해 부르짖는구나! 그 귀족들은 소알로, 에글랏 슬리시야로 달아난다. 그들이 울며 루힛 비탈길로 올라가고, 호로나임 길에서는 멸망을 알리는 부르짖음을 외친다.
6 For the waters of Nimrim will be desolate; for the grass has withered away, the tender grass fails, there is no green thing.For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate; for the grass is withered away, the tender grass faileth, there is no green thing.니므림의 물이 메말라 황폐해지고, 풀이 시들며 연한 싹도 말라, 푸른 것이 하나도 남지 않았다.
7 Therefore they will carry away the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have stored up, over the brook of the willows.Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away over the brook of the willows.그래서 그들은 모아 둔 재물과 쌓아 둔 것을 버드나무 시내 너머로 옮겨 간다.
8 For the cry has gone around the borders of Moab, its wailing to Eglaim, and its wailing to Beer Elim.For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the wailing thereof unto Eglaim, and the wailing thereof unto Beer-elim.부르짖음이 모압의 경계를 두루 돌아, 그 통곡 소리가 에글라임까지, 또 브엘엘림까지 이른다.
