1 The wilderness and the dry land will be glad. The desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.광야와 메마른 땅이 기뻐할 것이며, 사막이 즐거워하며 장미처럼 활짝 피어날 것이다.
2 It will blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing. Lebanon’s glory will be given to it, the excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They will see Yahweh’s glory, the excellence of our God.It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon: they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.풍성하게 꽃을 피우고, 기쁨과 노래로 즐거워할 것이다. 레바논의 영광이 그곳에 주어지고, 갈멜과 사론의 아름다움이 함께할 것이다. 사람들이 여호와의 영광, 우리 하나님의 아름다움을 보게 될 것이다.
3 Strengthen the weak hands, and make the feeble knees firm.Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.너희는 약해진 손을 강하게 하고, 떨리는 무릎을 굳세게 하여라.
4 Tell those who have a fearful heart, “ Be strong! Don’t be afraid! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, God’s retribution. He will come and save you.Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; he will come and save you.마음이 두려워하는 자들에게 말하여라. "강하여라. 두려워하지 마라. 보아라, 너희 하나님께서 보복을 행하시며 하나님의 갚으심을 가지고 오실 것이다. 그분께서 오셔서 너희를 구원하실 것이다."
5 Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.그때에 눈먼 사람의 눈이 열리고, 귀먹은 사람의 귀가 뚫릴 것이다.
6 Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing; for waters will break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.그때에 다리 저는 사람이 사슴처럼 뛰고, 말 못 하는 사람의 혀가 노래할 것이다. 광야에서 물이 솟아나고, 사막에서 시냇물이 흐를 것이기 때문이다.
7 The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water. Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.And the glowing sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water: in the habitation of jackals, where they lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.타는 듯한 모래가 못이 되고, 메마른 땅이 샘물이 될 것이다. 자칼이 누워 살던 곳에는 풀과 갈대와 부들이 자랄 것이다.
8 A highway will be there, a road, and it will be called “ The Holy Way”. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools shall not go there.And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for the redeemed: the wayfaring men, yea fools, shall not err therein.그곳에 큰길이 있을 것이니, 그 길은 "거룩한 길"이라 불릴 것이다. 부정한 자는 그 길을 지나가지 못하고, 오직 그 길을 걷는 자들을 위한 것이다. 악한 어리석은 자들은 그곳에 가지 못할 것이다.
9 No lion will be there, nor will any ravenous animal go up on it. They will not be found there; but the redeemed will walk there.No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go up thereon; they shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:그곳에는 사자도 없고, 사나운 짐승도 그 길에 올라오지 못할 것이다. 그것들은 그곳에서 발견되지 않을 것이며, 오직 구속받은 자들이 그 길을 걸을 것이다.
10 Then Yahweh’s ransomed ones will return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”and the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.여호와께 속량받은 자들이 돌아와 노래하며 시온으로 올 것이다. 영원한 기쁨이 그들의 머리 위에 있을 것이며, 그들은 즐거움과 기쁨을 얻고, 슬픔과 탄식은 달아날 것이다.
