1 The burden of Egypt. “ Behold, Yahweh rides on a swift cloud, and comes to Egypt. The idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt will melt within it.The burden of Egypt. Behold, Jehovah rideth upon a swift cloud, and cometh unto Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.이집트에 관한 경고의 말씀이다. 보라, 여호와께서 빠른 구름을 타고 이집트로 오신다. 이집트의 우상들이 그분 앞에서 떨고, 이집트 사람의 마음이 그 속에서 녹아내릴 것이다.
2 I will stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians, and they will fight everyone against his brother, and everyone against his neighbor; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.And I will stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbor; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.내가 이집트 사람을 일으켜 이집트 사람과 맞서게 하리니, 그들이 저마다 자기 형제를 치고 저마다 자기 이웃을 칠 것이며, 성읍이 성읍과, 나라가 나라와 싸울 것이다.
3 The spirit of the Egyptians will fail within them. I will destroy their counsel. They will seek the idols, the charmers, those who have familiar spirits, and the wizards.And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst of it; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek unto the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.이집트의 정신이 그 속에서 무너지고, 내가 그들의 계획을 헛되게 하리니, 그들이 우상과 주술사와 신접한 자와 점쟁이를 찾아갈 것이다.
4 I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord. A fierce king will rule over them,” says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.And I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.내가 이집트 사람을 잔혹한 주인의 손에 넘기리니, 사나운 왕이 그들을 다스릴 것이다. 만군의 주 여호와께서 하신 말씀이다.
5 The waters will fail from the sea, and the river will be wasted and become dry.And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and become dry.바다의 물이 마르고, 강이 메말라 바닥을 드러낼 것이다.
6 The rivers will become foul. The streams of Egypt will be diminished and dried up. The reeds and flags will wither away.And the rivers shall become foul; the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up; the reeds and flags shall wither away.운하들에서 악취가 나고, 이집트의 시내들이 줄어들어 말라 버리며, 갈대와 부들이 시들어 버릴 것이다.
7 The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile, will become dry, be driven away, and be no more.The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile, shall become dry, be driven away, and be no more.나일 강가의 풀밭과 나일 강어귀와 나일 강가에 씨 뿌린 모든 밭이 말라 버리고, 흩날려 사라져 다시는 없을 것이다.
8 The fishermen will lament, and all those who fish in the Nile will mourn, and those who spread nets on the waters will languish.And the fishers shall lament, and all they that cast angle into the Nile shall mourn, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.어부들이 탄식하고, 나일 강에 낚시를 던지는 모든 자가 슬퍼하며, 물 위에 그물을 치는 자들이 기운을 잃을 것이다.
9 Moreover those who work in combed flax, and those who weave white cloth, will be confounded.Moreover they that work in combed flax, and they that weave white cloth, shall be confounded.또한 빗은 삼으로 일하는 자들과 흰 천을 짜는 자들이 부끄러움을 당할 것이다.
10 The pillars will be broken in pieces. All those who work for hire will be grieved in soul.And the pillars of Egypt shall be broken in pieces; all they that work for hire shall be grieved in soul.기둥들이 산산조각 나고, 품삯을 받고 일하는 모든 자가 마음으로 괴로워할 것이다.
11 The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish. The counsel of the wisest counselors of Pharaoh has become stupid. How do you say to Pharaoh, “ I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings”?The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish; the counsel of the wisest counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?소안의 고관들은 참으로 어리석다. 바로의 가장 지혜로운 모사들의 계획이 어리석게 되었다. 너희가 어찌 바로에게 "나는 지혜로운 자의 아들이요, 옛 왕들의 아들이라"고 말하느냐?
12 Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you now; and let them know what Yahweh of Armies has purposed concerning Egypt.Where then are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now; and let them know what Jehovah of hosts hath purposed concerning Egypt.그렇다면 너의 지혜로운 자들이 어디 있느냐? 이제 그들이 너에게 일러 주고, 만군의 여호와께서 이집트에 대하여 무엇을 정하셨는지 알게 하여라.
13 The princes of Zoan have become fools. The princes of Memphis are deceived. They have caused Egypt to go astray, those who are the cornerstone of her tribes.The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Memphis are deceived; they have caused Egypt to go astray, that are the corner-stone of her tribes.소안의 고관들이 어리석은 자가 되었고, 멤피스의 고관들이 속았으며, 이집트 지파의 모퉁잇돌인 그들이 이집트를 길 잃게 하였다.
14 Yahweh has mixed a spirit of perverseness in the middle of her; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in all of its works, like a drunken man staggers in his vomit.Jehovah hath mingled a spirit of perverseness in the midst of her; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.여호와께서 그 가운데에 비뚤어진 정신을 섞으셨으니, 그들이 이집트로 하여금 그 모든 일에서 길을 잃게 하기를, 마치 술 취한 사람이 자기가 토한 것 위에서 비틀거리듯 하였다.
15 Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which head or tail, palm branch or rush, may do.Neither shall there be for Egypt any work, which head or tail, palm-branch or rush, may do.머리든 꼬리든, 종려나무 가지든 갈대든, 이집트를 위해 할 수 있는 일이 아무것도 없을 것이다.
16 In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will tremble and fear because of the shaking of Yahweh of Armies’s hand, which he shakes over them.In that day shall the Egyptians be like unto women; and they shall tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of Jehovah of hosts, which he shaketh over them.그날에 이집트 사람들이 여인 같이 되어, 만군의 여호와께서 그들 위에 흔드시는 그 손의 흔들림 때문에 떨며 두려워할 것이다.
17 The land of Judah will become a terror to Egypt. Everyone to whom mention is made of it will be afraid, because of the plans of Yahweh of Armies, which he determines against it.And the land of Judah shall become a terror unto Egypt; every one to whom mention is made thereof shall be afraid, because of the purpose of Jehovah of hosts, which he purposeth against it.유다 땅이 이집트에게 두려움이 되리니, 만군의 여호와께서 이집트를 향하여 정하신 계획 때문에 그 이름이 거론되는 모든 자가 두려워할 것이다.
18 In that day, there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to Yahweh of Armies. One will be called “ The city of destruction.”In that day there shall be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to Jehovah of hosts; one shall be called The city of destruction.그날에 이집트 땅에 가나안 말을 하며 만군의 여호와께 맹세하는 다섯 성읍이 있을 것이요, 그 가운데 하나는 "멸망의 성"이라 불릴 것이다.
19 In that day, there will be an altar to Yahweh in the middle of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to Yahweh at its border.In that day shall there be an altar to Jehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to Jehovah.그날에 이집트 땅 한가운데에 여호와를 위한 제단이 있고, 그 경계에는 여호와를 위한 기둥이 있을 것이다.
20 It will be for a sign and for a witness to Yahweh of Armies in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to Yahweh because of oppressors, and he will send them a savior and a defender, and he will deliver them.And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto Jehovah of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they shall cry unto Jehovah because of oppressors, and he will send them a saviour, and a defender, and he will deliver them.그것이 이집트 땅에서 만군의 여호와를 위한 표징과 증거가 되리니, 그들이 억압하는 자들 때문에 여호와께 부르짖을 때에, 그분께서 그들에게 구원자와 보호자를 보내어 그들을 건지실 것이다.
21 Yahweh will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know Yahweh in that day. Yes, they will worship with sacrifice and offering, and will vow a vow to Yahweh, and will perform it.And Jehovah shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know Jehovah in that day; yea, they shall worship with sacrifice and oblation, and shall vow a vow unto Jehovah, and shall perform it.여호와께서 이집트에 알려지시고, 그날에 이집트 사람들이 여호와를 알게 될 것이다. 그렇다, 그들이 희생제물과 예물로 예배하고, 여호와께 서원하여 그것을 이행할 것이다.
22 Yahweh will strike Egypt, striking and healing. They will return to Yahweh, and he will be entreated by them, and will heal them.And Jehovah will smite Egypt, smiting and healing; and they shall return unto Jehovah, and he will be entreated of them, and will heal them.여호와께서 이집트를 치시되, 치시고 또 고치실 것이다. 그들이 여호와께로 돌아오면, 그분께서 그들의 간구를 들으시고 그들을 고쳐 주실 것이다.
23 In that day there will be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians shall worship with the Assyrians.그날에 이집트에서 아시리아로 통하는 큰길이 있어, 아시리아 사람이 이집트로 오고 이집트 사람이 아시리아로 가며, 이집트 사람이 아시리아 사람과 함께 예배할 것이다.
24 In that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing within the earth;In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth;그날에 이스라엘이 이집트와 아시리아와 더불어 셋째가 되어, 땅 한가운데에서 복이 될 것이다.
25 because Yahweh of Armies has blessed them, saying, “ Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.”for that Jehovah of hosts hath blessed them, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.이는 만군의 여호와께서 그들에게 복을 주시며 이렇게 말씀하셨기 때문이다. "내 백성 이집트와 내 손으로 지은 아시리아와 내 기업 이스라엘에게 복이 있으라."
