1 “ Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price."목마른 사람들아, 다 물로 나아오라! 돈 없는 사람도 와서 사 먹어라! 그렇다, 와서 돈 없이, 값 없이 포도주와 젖을 사라.
2 Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which doesn’t satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in richness.Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.어찌하여 너희는 양식도 못 되는 것에 돈을 쓰며, 배부르게 하지도 못하는 것에 수고를 들이느냐? 나에게 귀 기울여 들으라. 그리고 좋은 것을 먹으라. 너희 영혼이 기름진 것으로 즐거워하게 하라.
3 Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.너희 귀를 기울이고 나에게 나아오라. 들으라, 그리하면 너희 영혼이 살리라. 내가 너희와 영원한 언약을 맺으리니, 곧 다윗에게 베푼 변치 않는 긍휼이라.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples.Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples.보라, 내가 그를 뭇 백성에게 증인으로 세웠고, 뭇 백성에게 인도자와 지휘관으로 삼았노라.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you don’t know; and a nation that didn’t know you shall run to you, because of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you.”Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not; and a nation that knew not thee shall run unto thee, because of Jehovah thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.보라, 네가 알지 못하던 나라를 부를 것이며, 너를 알지 못하던 나라가 네게로 달려오리니, 이는 너의 하나님 여호와 때문이요, 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분 때문이라. 그분이 너를 영화롭게 하셨음이라."
6 Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.Seek ye Jehovah while he may be found; call ye upon him while he is near:만날 수 있을 때에 여호와를 찾으라. 가까이 계실 때에 그분을 부르라.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.악한 자는 자기의 길을 버리고, 불의한 사람은 자기의 생각을 버리라. 그가 여호와께 돌아오면 그분이 그에게 긍휼을 베푸시고, 우리 하나님께 돌아오면 그분이 넉넉히 용서하시리라.
8 “ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh.For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah.여호와께서 말씀하신다. "내 생각은 너희 생각과 다르며, 너희 길은 내 길과 다르다.
9 “ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.하늘이 땅보다 높음같이, 내 길은 너희 길보다 높으며, 내 생각은 너희 생각보다 높으니라.
10 For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it grow and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, and giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater;비와 눈이 하늘에서 내려와 그리로 되돌아가지 않고, 땅을 적셔 싹이 돋고 움트게 하며, 씨 뿌리는 자에게 씨를, 먹는 자에게 양식을 주는 것같이,
11 so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.내 입에서 나가는 내 말도 그러하리라. 그것은 헛되이 내게로 돌아오지 않고, 내가 기뻐하는 바를 이루며, 내가 보낸 그 일에 형통하리라.
12 For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.너희는 기쁨으로 나아가며 평안히 인도함을 받으리라. 산들과 언덕들이 너희 앞에서 노래를 터뜨리고, 들의 모든 나무가 손뼉을 치리라.
13 Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up; and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up. It will make a name for Yahweh, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir-tree; and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle-tree: and it shall be to Jehovah for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.가시나무 대신에 잣나무가 자라며, 찔레나무 대신에 화석류나무가 자라리라. 이것이 여호와께 이름이 되며, 영원한 표징이 되어 끊어지지 않으리라."
