1 In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, “ Yahweh says, ‘ Set your house in order, for you will die, and not live.’”In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.그 무렵에 히스기야가 병들어 거의 죽게 되었다. 아모스의 아들 이사야 선지자가 그에게 와서 말하였다. "여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하십니다. '네 집을 정리하여라. 너는 죽고 살지 못할 것이다.'"
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to Yahweh,Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto Jehovah,그러자 히스기야가 얼굴을 벽으로 돌리고 여호와께 기도하며
3 and said, “ Remember now, Yahweh, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.” Then Hezekiah wept bitterly.and said, Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.말하였다. "여호와여, 간구하오니 이제 기억하여 주십시오. 제가 진실함과 온전한 마음으로 주 앞에서 걸어왔으며, 주께서 보시기에 선한 일을 행하였습니다." 그리고 히스기야는 몹시 슬피 울었다.
4 Then Yahweh’s word came to Isaiah, saying,Then came the word of Jehovah to Isaiah, saying,그때에 여호와의 말씀이 이사야에게 임하여 이르셨다.
5 “ Go, and tell Hezekiah, ‘ Yahweh, the God of David your father, says, “ I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years."가서 히스기야에게 전하여라. '네 조상 다윗의 하나님 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 내가 네 기도를 들었고 네 눈물을 보았다. 보아라, 내가 네 수명에 십오 년을 더하겠다.
6 I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city.또 내가 너와 이 성을 앗시리아 왕의 손에서 건져 내고, 내가 이 성을 지키겠다.
7 This shall be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do this thing that he has spoken.And this shall be the sign unto thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do this thing that he hath spoken:여호와께서 친히 말씀하신 이 일을 이루시리라는, 여호와께서 주시는 표징이 이것이다.
8 Behold, I will cause the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down on the sundial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps.”’” So the sun returned ten steps on the sundial on which it had gone down.behold, I will cause the shadow on the steps, which is gone down on the dial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps on the dial whereon it was gone down.보아라, 내가 해와 함께 아하스의 해시계 위로 내려간 그림자를 뒤로 열 칸 물러가게 하겠다.'" 그러자 해가 그 내려갔던 해시계 위로 열 칸 뒤로 물러갔다.
9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and had recovered of his sickness:The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness.유다 왕 히스기야가 병들었다가 그 병에서 회복되었을 때에 기록한 글이다.
10 I said, “ In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol. I am deprived of the residue of my years.”I said, In the noontide of my days I shall go into the gates of Sheol: I am deprived of the residue of my years.나는 말하였다. "내 인생의 한창때에 나는 스올의 문으로 들어가니, 남은 햇수를 빼앗기는구나."
11 I said, “ I won’t see Yah, Yah in the land of the living. I will see man no more with the inhabitants of the world.I said, I shall not see Jehovah, even Jehovah in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.나는 말하였다. "내가 산 자의 땅에서 여호와를, 여호와를 다시 보지 못하겠구나. 세상에 사는 자들과 함께 사람을 다시는 보지 못하겠구나.
12 My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me like a shepherd’s tent. I have rolled up my life like a weaver. He will cut me off from the loom. From day even to night you will make an end of me.My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me as a shepherd’s tent: I have rolled up, like a weaver, my life; he will cut me off from the loom: From day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.내 거처가 뽑혀 목자의 장막처럼 나에게서 옮겨져 가는구나. 내가 베 짜는 사람처럼 내 생명을 말아 올렸으니, 그분이 베틀에서 나를 끊어 내실 것이다. 낮부터 밤까지 주께서 나를 끝내실 것입니다.
13 I waited patiently until morning. He breaks all my bones like a lion. From day even to night you will make an end of me.I quieted myself until morning; as a lion, so he breaketh all my bones: From day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.나는 아침까지 잠잠히 기다렸으나, 그분이 사자처럼 내 모든 뼈를 꺾으셨다. 낮부터 밤까지 주께서 나를 끝내실 것입니다.
14 I chattered like a swallow or a crane. I moaned like a dove. My eyes weaken looking upward. Lord, I am oppressed. Be my security.”Like a swallow or a crane, so did I chatter; I did moan as a dove; mine eyes fail with looking upward: O Lord, I am oppressed, be thou my surety.나는 제비나 학처럼 지저귀었고, 비둘기처럼 신음하였습니다. 위를 우러러보느라 내 눈이 쇠약해졌습니다. 주여, 제가 짓눌렸으니, 저의 보증이 되어 주십시오."
15 What will I say? He has both spoken to me, and himself has done it. I will walk carefully all my years because of the anguish of my soul.What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years because of the bitterness of my soul.내가 무엇이라 말하겠는가? 그분이 내게 말씀하셨고, 또 친히 이루셨다. 내 영혼의 괴로움 때문에 나는 평생토록 조심스럽게 걸어가겠다.
16 Lord, men live by these things; and my spirit finds life in all of them. You restore me, and cause me to live.O Lord, by these things men live; And wholly therein is the life of my spirit: Wherefore recover thou me, and make me to live.주여, 사람은 이런 것들로 살아가며, 내 영도 이 모든 것 안에서 생명을 얻습니다. 주께서 나를 회복시키시고, 나를 살게 하소서.
17 Behold, for peace I had great anguish, but you have in love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for you have cast all my sins behind your back.Behold, it was for my peace that I had great bitterness: But thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; For thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.보십시오, 내가 큰 괴로움을 겪은 것은 도리어 나의 평안을 위함이었습니다. 주께서 내 영혼을 사랑하사 멸망의 구덩이에서 건져 내셨으니, 주께서 내 모든 죄를 주의 등 뒤로 던지셨기 때문입니다.
18 For Sheol can’t praise you. Death can’t celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can’t hope for your truth.For Sheol cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: They that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.스올이 주를 찬양할 수 없고, 죽음이 주를 기릴 수 없으며, 구덩이로 내려가는 자들이 주의 진실하심을 바랄 수 없습니다.
19 The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do today. The father shall make known your truth to the children.The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: The father to the children shall make known thy truth.산 자, 곧 산 자만이 오늘 내가 하는 것처럼 주를 찬양합니다. 아버지가 자녀에게 주의 진실하심을 알게 할 것입니다.
20 Yahweh will save me. Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life in Yahweh’s house.Jehovah is ready to save me: Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments All the days of our life in the house of Jehovah.여호와께서 나를 구원하시리니, 그러므로 우리는 우리가 사는 모든 날 동안 여호와의 집에서 현악기에 맞추어 내 노래를 부르겠습니다.
21 Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.”Now Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a plaster upon the boil, and he shall recover.이사야가 말하였다. "무화과 덩어리를 가져다가 종기 위에 고약으로 붙이면 그가 나으리라."
22 Hezekiah also had said, “ What is the sign that I will go up to Yahweh’s house?”Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of Jehovah?히스기야도 말하였다. "내가 여호와의 집에 올라갈 표징이 무엇입니까?"
