2 A grievous vision is declared to me. The treacherous man deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, Elam; attack! I have stopped all of Media’s sighing.A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous man dealeth treacherously, and the destroyer destroyeth. Go up, O Elam; besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.혹독한 환상이 내게 보여졌다. 배신하는 자는 배신하고, 파괴하는 자는 파괴한다. 엘람아, 올라가라! 메대야, 에워싸라! 내가 그 모든 탄식을 그치게 하였다.
3 Therefore my thighs are filled with anguish. Pains have seized me, like the pains of a woman in labor. I am in so much pain that I can’t hear. 4 My heart flutters. Horror has frightened me. The twilight that I desired has been turned into trembling for me.My heart fluttereth, horror hath affrighted me; the twilight that I desired hath been turned into trembling unto me.내 마음이 떨리고, 두려움이 나를 무섭게 한다. 내가 사모하던 황혼이 도리어 내게는 떨림이 되었다.

6 For the Lord said to me, “ Go, set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees.For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman; let him declare what he seeth:주께서 내게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "가서 파수꾼을 세우고, 그가 보는 것을 알리게 하여라.
7 When he sees a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of donkeys, a troop of camels, he shall listen diligently with great attentiveness.”and when he seeth a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of asses, a troop of camels, he shall hearken diligently with much heed.그가 한 무리, 곧 둘씩 짝지은 기마병과 나귀 떼와 낙타 떼를 보거든, 그는 정신을 바짝 차리고 주의 깊게 살펴야 한다."
8 He cried like a lion: “Lord, I stand continually on the watchtower in the daytime, and every night I stay at my post.And he cried as a lion: O Lord, I stand continually upon the watch-tower in the day-time, and am set in my ward whole nights;그가 사자처럼 외쳤다. "주여, 내가 낮에는 망대 위에 끊임없이 서 있고, 밤마다 내 초소를 지키고 있습니다.
9 Behold, here comes a troop of men, horsemen in pairs.” He answered, “ Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the engraved images of her gods are broken to the ground.and, behold, here cometh a troop of men, horsemen in pairs. And he answered and said, Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods are broken unto the ground.보십시오, 사람들의 무리가, 둘씩 짝지은 기마병이 옵니다." 그가 대답하였다. "무너졌다, 무너졌다, 바벨론이여! 그 신들의 새긴 모든 우상이 땅에 부서졌다."
10 You are my threshing, and the grain of my floor!” That which I have heard from Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, I have declared to you.O thou my threshing, and the grain of my floor! that which I have heard from Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.짓밟힌 내 백성아, 내 타작마당의 알곡아! 만군의 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님께로부터 내가 들은 것을 너희에게 전하였다.

12 The watchman said, “ The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire. Come back again.”The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: turn ye, come.파수꾼이 말하였다. "아침이 오고, 또 밤도 온다. 묻고 싶거든 물어라. 다시 돌아오너라."

16 For the Lord said to me, “ Within a year, as a worker bound by contract would count it, all the glory of Kedar will fail,For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar shall fail;주께서 내게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "품꾼이 정한 햇수를 세듯, 한 해 안에 게달의 모든 영광이 다할 것이다.
17 and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, will be few; for Yahweh, the God of Israel, has spoken it.”and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be few; for Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath spoken it.게달 자손의 용사들, 곧 활 쏘는 자들 가운데 남은 수가 적을 것이다. 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다."
