1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah ( this was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah ( the same was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon),유다 왕 요시야의 아들 여호야김 제사년, 곧 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 첫해에, 유다 온 백성에 관하여 예레미야에게 임한 말씀입니다.
2 which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem:which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:선지자 예레미야가 유다 온 백성과 예루살렘 모든 주민에게 이 말씀을 전하여 말했습니다.
3 From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, Yahweh’s word has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even unto this day, these three and twenty years, the word of Jehovah hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising up early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.유다 왕 아몬의 아들 요시야 제십삼년부터 오늘까지 이십삼 년 동안, 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 내가 너희에게 부지런히 일찍 일어나 전했으나, 너희는 듣지 않았다.
4 Yahweh has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them ( but you have not listened or inclined your ear to hear ),And Jehovah hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, ( but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear ),여호와께서 그분의 모든 종 선지자들을 너희에게 부지런히 일찍 일어나 보내셨으나, 너희는 듣지도 않고 귀를 기울여 들으려고도 하지 않았다.
5 saying, “ Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forever more.saying, Return ye now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Jehovah hath given unto you and to your fathers, from of old and even for evermore;그들이 말하기를, 너희는 이제 각기 악한 길과 너희 행위의 악에서 돌이키라. 그러면 여호와께서 옛적부터 영원토록 너희와 너희 조상에게 주신 땅에 거하리라.
6 Don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; then I will do you no harm.”and go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.다른 신들을 따라가 그들을 섬기거나 절하지 말고, 너희 손으로 만든 것으로 나를 노엽게 하지 말라. 그리하면 내가 너희를 해하지 않으리라.
7 “ Yet you have not listened to me,” says Yahweh, “ that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.”Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith Jehovah; that ye may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.그러나 너희가 내 말을 듣지 않아 너희 손으로 만든 것으로 나를 노엽게 하여 스스로 화를 자초하였다, 여호와의 말씀이다.
8 Therefore Yahweh of Armies says: “ Because you have not heard my words,Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Because ye have not heard my words,그러므로 만군의 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 너희가 내 말을 듣지 않았으니,
9 behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,” says Yahweh, “ and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around. I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith Jehovah, and I will send unto Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.보라, 내가 보내어 북쪽의 모든 족속을 데려오고, 내 종 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살에게 사람을 보내어 그들을 이 땅과 그 주민과 사방의 이 모든 민족을 치게 하리라. 내가 그들을 완전히 멸하여 놀람거리와 비웃음거리와 영원한 황폐가 되게 하리라, 여호와의 말씀이다.
10 Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.또한 내가 그들에게서 기뻐하는 소리와 즐거워하는 소리, 신랑의 소리와 신부의 소리, 맷돌 가는 소리와 등불 빛을 거두어 가리라.
11 This whole land will be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.이 온 땅이 황폐하고 놀람거리가 될 것이며, 이 민족들은 칠십 년 동안 바벨론 왕을 섬기리라.
12 “ It will happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,” says Yahweh, “ for their iniquity. I will make the land of the Chaldeans desolate forever.And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith Jehovah, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate for ever.칠십 년이 차면, 내가 바벨론 왕과 그 민족과 갈대아 사람의 땅을 그들의 죄악 때문에 벌하여 영원히 황폐하게 하리라, 여호와의 말씀이다.
13 I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.내가 그 땅을 향하여 선포한 내 모든 말, 곧 예레미야가 모든 민족을 향하여 예언하여 이 책에 기록된 모든 것을 그 땅에 임하게 하리라.
14 For many nations and great kings will make bondservants of them, even of them. I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.”For many nations and great kings shall make bondmen of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.많은 민족과 큰 왕들이 그들을 종으로 삼을 것이며, 나는 그들의 행위와 그들 손이 한 일에 따라 그들에게 갚으리라.
15 For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to me: “ Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, unto me: Take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 내게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 내 손에서 이 진노의 포도주 잔을 받아, 내가 너를 보내는 모든 민족에게 마시게 하라.
16 They will drink, and reel back and forth, and be insane, because of the sword that I will send among them.”And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.그들이 마시고 비틀거리며 미치리니, 이는 내가 그들 가운데 보낼 칼 때문이다.
17 Then I took the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me:Then took I the cup at Jehovah’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom Jehovah had sent me:그래서 내가 여호와의 손에서 그 잔을 받아, 여호와께서 나를 보내신 모든 민족에게 마시게 하였습니다.
18 Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, with its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is today;to wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;곧 예루살렘과 유다 성읍들과 그 왕들과 고관들에게 마시게 하여, 오늘과 같이 그들을 황폐와 놀람거리와 비웃음거리와 저줏거리가 되게 하였고,
19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, with his servants, his princes, and all his people;Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;이집트 왕 바로와 그의 신하들과 고관들과 그의 온 백성과,
20 and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the Philistines, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;and all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;모든 섞인 무리와 우스 땅의 모든 왕과 블레셋 사람의 모든 왕, 곧 아스글론과 가사와 에그론과 아스돗의 남은 자들과,
21 Edom, Moab, and the children of Ammon;Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;에돔과 모압과 암몬 자손과,
22 and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;두로의 모든 왕과 시돈의 모든 왕과 바다 건너편 섬의 왕들과,
23 Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that have the corners of their hair cut off;드단과 데마와 부스와 살쩍을 깎은 모든 자와,
24 and all the kings of Arabia, all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the wilderness;아라비아의 모든 왕과 광야에 거하는 섞인 무리의 모든 왕과,
25 and all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;시므리의 모든 왕과 엘람의 모든 왕과 메대의 모든 왕과,
26 and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth. The king of Sheshach will drink after them.and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.멀고 가까운 북쪽의 모든 왕, 곧 서로 인접한 모든 왕과 땅 위에 있는 세상의 모든 나라에게 마시게 하였고, 세삭 왕은 그들 다음에 마시리라.
27 “ You shall tell them, ‘ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says: “ Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.”’And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink ye, and be drunken, and spew, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.너는 그들에게 이르라. 이스라엘의 하나님 만군의 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 너희는 마시고 취하며 토하고 쓰러져 다시 일어나지 못하리니, 이는 내가 너희 가운데 보낼 칼 때문이다.
28 It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, ‘ Yahweh of Armies says: “ You shall surely drink.And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thy hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Ye shall surely drink.만일 그들이 네 손에서 잔을 받아 마시기를 거절하거든, 너는 그들에게 이르라. 만군의 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 너희는 반드시 마시게 되리라.
29 For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You will not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies.”’For, lo, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Jehovah of hosts.보라, 내 이름으로 일컫는 성읍에서부터 내가 재앙 내리기를 시작하거늘, 너희가 어찌 형벌을 면하겠느냐? 너희는 형벌을 면하지 못하리니, 이는 내가 땅의 모든 주민에게 칼을 부르겠음이라, 만군의 여호와의 말씀이다.
30 “ Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and tell them, “‘ Yahweh will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation. He will mightily roar against his fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, Jehovah will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar against his fold; he will give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.그러므로 너는 그들에게 이 모든 말씀을 예언하여 이르라. 여호와께서 높은 곳에서 부르짖으시며 그분의 거룩한 처소에서 음성을 내시리라. 그분이 그분의 우리를 향하여 크게 부르짖으시며, 포도 밟는 자들처럼 땅의 모든 주민을 향하여 외치시리라.
31 A noise will come even to the end of the earth; for Yahweh has a controversy with the nations. He will enter into judgment with all flesh. As for the wicked, he will give them to the sword,”’ says Yahweh.”A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for Jehovah hath a controversy with the nations; he will enter into judgment with all flesh: as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, saith Jehovah.떠드는 소리가 땅끝까지 이르리니, 이는 여호와께서 민족들과 다투시며 모든 육체와 더불어 심판에 들어가시기 때문이다. 악인들은 칼에 넘기시리라, 여호와의 말씀이다.
32 Yahweh of Armies says, “ Behold, evil will go out from nation to nation, and a great storm will be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.”Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.만군의 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 보라, 재앙이 민족에서 민족으로 나아가며, 큰 폭풍이 땅 끝에서부터 일어나리라.
33 The slain of Yahweh will be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They won’t be lamented. They won’t be gathered or buried. They will be dung on the surface of the ground.And the slain of Jehovah shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground.그날에 여호와께 죽임당한 자들이 땅 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 이르리니, 그들은 애도받지도, 거두어지지도, 묻히지도 못하고, 땅 위의 거름이 되리라.
34 Wail, you shepherds, and cry. Wallow in dust, you leader of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions have fully come, and you will fall like fine pottery.Wail, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow in ashes, ye principal of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are fully come, and ye shall fall like a goodly vessel.너희 목자들아, 슬피 울며 부르짖으라. 양 떼의 우두머리들아, 티끌 가운데 뒹굴라. 이는 너희가 도살당할 날과 너희가 흩어질 날이 다 찼음이니, 너희는 귀한 그릇처럼 떨어지리라.
35 The shepherds will have no way to flee. The leader of the flock will have no escape.And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.목자들은 도망할 길이 없을 것이며, 양 떼의 우두머리들은 피할 곳이 없으리라.
36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the leader of the flock, for Yahweh destroys their pasture.A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the principal of the flock! for Jehovah layeth waste their pasture.목자들의 부르짖는 소리와 양 떼 우두머리들의 슬피 우는 소리가 들리니, 이는 여호와께서 그들의 초장을 황폐하게 하심이라.
37 The peaceful folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of Yahweh.And the peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of Jehovah.여호와의 맹렬한 진노 때문에 평화롭던 우리들이 잠잠하게 되었다.
38 He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.He hath left his covert, as the lion; for their land is become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppressing sword, and because of his fierce anger.그분이 사자처럼 그분의 굴을 떠나셨으니, 이는 압제의 맹렬함과 그분의 맹렬한 진노 때문에 그들의 땅이 놀람거리가 되었음이라.
