1 Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even to the greatest, came near,Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,그때에 모든 군대 지휘관들과 가레아의 아들 요하난과 호사야의 아들 여사냐와 가장 낮은 사람부터 가장 높은 사람까지 온 백성이 가까이 나아와
2 and said to Jeremiah the prophet, “ Please let our supplication be presented before you, and pray for us to Yahweh your God, even for all this remnant, for we are left but a few of many, as your eyes see us,and said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we pray thee, our supplication be presented before thee, and pray for us unto Jehovah thy God, even for all this remnant ( for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us ),예레미야 선지자에게 말했습니다. "부디 우리의 간구를 당신 앞에 올려 드리오니, 우리를 위하여, 이 남은 모든 사람을 위하여 당신의 하나님 여호와께 기도해 주십시오. 당신이 보시는 것처럼 우리는 많던 사람 가운데 적은 수만 남았습니다.
3 that Yahweh your God may show us the way in which we should walk, and the things that we should do.”that Jehovah thy God may show us the way wherein we should walk, and the thing that we should do.당신의 하나님 여호와께서 우리가 마땅히 걸어가야 할 길과 해야 할 일을 보여 주시도록 기도해 주십시오."
4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them, “ I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to Yahweh your God according to your words; and it will happen that whatever thing Yahweh answers you, I will declare it to you. I will keep nothing back from you.”Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto Jehovah your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass that whatsoever thing Jehovah shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.그러자 예레미야 선지자가 그들에게 말했습니다. "내가 너희 말을 들었으니, 보라, 너희 말대로 내가 너희 하나님 여호와께 기도하겠다. 여호와께서 너희에게 무엇이라 응답하시든지 내가 너희에게 알리고 아무것도 숨기지 않으리라."
5 Then they said to Jeremiah, “ May Yahweh be a true and faithful witness among us, if we don’t do according to all the word with which Yahweh your God sends you to tell us.Then they said to Jeremiah, Jehovah be a true and faithful witness amongst us, if we do not according to all the word wherewith Jehovah thy God shall send thee to us.그들이 예레미야에게 말했습니다. "당신의 하나님 여호와께서 우리에게 보내시는 모든 말씀대로 우리가 행하지 않는다면, 여호와께서 우리 사이에서 참되고 신실한 증인이 되시기를 바랍니다.
6 Whether it is good, or whether it is bad, we will obey the voice of Yahweh our God, to whom we send you; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of Yahweh our God.”Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of Jehovah our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of Jehovah our God.좋은 일이든 나쁜 일이든, 우리가 당신을 보내어 여쭙는 우리 하나님 여호와의 음성에 우리가 순종하겠습니다. 우리 하나님 여호와의 음성에 순종할 때에 우리가 잘되도록 하려는 것입니다."
7 After ten days, Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah.And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah.열흘이 지난 후에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임했습니다.
8 Then he called Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,그래서 그가 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있던 모든 군대 지휘관들과 가장 낮은 사람부터 가장 높은 사람까지 온 백성을 불러
9 and said to them, “ Yahweh, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your supplication before him, says:and said unto them, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him:그들에게 말했습니다. "너희가 나를 보내어 너희 간구를 그 앞에 올려 드리게 한 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다.
10 ‘ If you will still live in this land, then I will build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up; for I grieve over the distress that I have brought on you.If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up; for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.'너희가 여전히 이 땅에 머물러 살면, 내가 너희를 세우고 헐지 아니하며, 너희를 심고 뽑지 아니하리니, 이는 내가 너희에게 내린 재앙을 두고 마음 아파하기 때문이다.
11 Don’t be afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid. Don’t be afraid of him,’ says Yahweh, ‘ for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith Jehovah: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.너희가 두려워하는 바벨론 왕을 무서워하지 말라. 그를 무서워하지 말라. 여호와의 말이다. 내가 너희와 함께하여 너희를 구원하고 그의 손에서 너희를 건지겠다.
12 I will grant you mercy, that he may have mercy on you, and cause you to return to your own land.And I will grant you mercy, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.내가 너희에게 긍휼을 베풀어, 그로 하여금 너희를 긍휼히 여기게 하고 너희를 너희 고향 땅으로 돌아가게 하리라.'
13 “‘ But if you say, “ We will not dwell in this land,” so that you don’t obey Yahweh your God’s voice,But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land; so that ye obey not the voice of Jehovah your God,그러나 너희가 '우리는 이 땅에 살지 않겠다' 하며 너희 하나님 여호와의 음성에 순종하지 아니하고
14 saying, “ No, but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we will see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there we will dwell;”’saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:'아니다, 우리는 이집트 땅으로 들어가 거기서 살겠다. 거기서는 전쟁도 보지 않고, 나팔 소리도 듣지 않으며, 양식이 없어 굶주리지도 않을 것이다' 하고 말한다면,
15 now therefore hear Yahweh’s word, O remnant of Judah! Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says, ‘ If you indeed set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to live there,now therefore hear ye the word of Jehovah, O remnant of Judah: Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, If ye indeed set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;남은 유다 사람들아, 이제 여호와의 말씀을 들으라. 만군의 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. '너희가 정녕 이집트로 들어가기로 얼굴을 향하고 거기 가서 살려 한다면,
16 then it will happen that the sword, which you fear, will overtake you there in the land of Egypt; and the famine, about which you are afraid, will follow close behind you there in Egypt; and you will die there.then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye fear, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt; and the famine, whereof ye are afraid, shall follow hard after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.너희가 두려워하는 그 칼이 이집트 땅에서 너희를 따라잡을 것이며, 너희가 무서워하는 기근이 이집트에서 너희 뒤를 바짝 좇아갈 것이니, 너희가 거기서 죽으리라.
17 So will it be with all the men who set their faces to go into Egypt to live there. They will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence. None of them will remain or escape from the evil that I will bring on them.’So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there: they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence; and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.이집트로 들어가 거기서 살려고 얼굴을 향한 모든 사람도 그렇게 될 것이니, 그들은 칼과 기근과 전염병으로 죽고, 내가 그들에게 내릴 재앙에서 남거나 피할 자가 아무도 없으리라.'
18 For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘ As my anger and my wrath has been poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so my wrath will be poured out on you, when you enter into Egypt; and you will be an object of horror, an astonishment, a curse, and a reproach; and you will see this place no more.’For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: As mine anger and my wrath hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so shall my wrath be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt; and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.만군의 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. '나의 분노와 진노가 예루살렘 주민들에게 쏟아진 것같이, 너희가 이집트로 들어갈 때에 나의 진노가 너희에게 쏟아지리라. 너희는 두려움과 놀람과 저주와 모욕의 대상이 될 것이며, 이곳을 다시는 보지 못하리라.'
19 “ Yahweh has spoken concerning you, remnant of Judah, ‘Don’t go into Egypt!’ Know certainly that I have testified to you today.Jehovah hath spoken concerning you, O remnant of Judah, Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have testified unto you this day.남은 유다 사람들아, 여호와께서 너희에 관하여 말씀하셨다. '너희는 이집트로 들어가지 말라.' 내가 오늘 너희에게 분명히 증언한 것을 확실히 알라.
20 For you have dealt deceitfully against your own souls; for you sent me to Yahweh your God, saying, ‘ Pray for us to Yahweh our God; and according to all that Yahweh our God says, so declare to us, and we will do it.’For ye have dealt deceitfully against your own souls; for ye sent me unto Jehovah your God, saying, Pray for us unto Jehovah our God; and according unto all that Jehovah our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.너희가 너희 자신의 영혼을 속였으니, 이는 너희가 나를 너희 하나님 여호와께 보내며 '우리를 위하여 우리 하나님 여호와께 기도하고, 우리 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하시는 모든 것을 우리에게 알리시오. 그러면 우리가 행하겠소' 하였기 때문이다.
21 I have declared it to you today; but you have not obeyed Yahweh your God’s voice in anything for which he has sent me to you.And I have this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah your God in anything for which he hath sent me unto you.내가 오늘 그것을 너희에게 알렸으나, 그가 나를 보내어 너희에게 전하게 하신 어떤 일에도 너희는 너희 하나님 여호와의 음성에 순종하지 아니하였다.
22 Now therefore know certainly that you will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence in the place where you desire to go to live.”Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go to sojourn there.그러므로 이제 너희가 가서 살기를 바라는 그곳에서 너희가 칼과 기근과 전염병으로 죽을 것을 확실히 알라.
