Jeremiah 7장

The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,

“ Stand in the gate of Yahweh’s house, and proclaim this word there, and say, ‘ Hear Yahweh’s word, all you of Judah, who enter in at these gates to worship Yahweh.’”Stand in the gate of Jehovah’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of Jehovah, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship Jehovah.“여호와의 성전 문에 서서 거기에서 이 말씀을 선포하여 이렇게 말하여라.

Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, “ Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

Don’t trust in lying words, saying, ‘ Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, are these.’Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, are these.

For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor; For if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor;너희가 너희 길과 너희 행위를 철저히 바로잡고, 사람과 그 이웃 사이에 공의를 철저히 행하며,

if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt,if ye oppress not the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your own hurt:이방 사람과 고아와 과부를 억압하지 않고, 이곳에서 죄 없는 피를 흘리지 않으며, 다른 신들을 따라가 스스로 해를 입지 않으면,

then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forever more.then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even for evermore.

Behold, you trust in lying words that can’t profit.Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods that you have not known,Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods that ye have not known,너희가 도둑질하고 살인하고 간음하며 거짓 맹세하고 바알에게 분향하며 너희가 알지 못하던 다른 신들을 따라가면서도,

then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, ‘ We are delivered,’ that you may do all these abominations?and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered; that ye may do all these abominations?

Has this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it,” says Yahweh. Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it, saith Jehovah.

“ But go now to my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel. But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

Now, because you have done all these works,” says Yahweh, “ and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you didn’t hear; and I called you, but you didn’t answer; And now, because ye have done all these works, saith Jehovah, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not:이제 너희가 이 모든 일을 행하였고, 내가 너희에게 부지런히 일찍 일어나 말하였으나 너희가 듣지 않았으며, 내가 너희를 불렀으나 너희가 대답하지 않았다.

therefore I will do to the house which is called by my name, in which you trust, and to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh.therefore will I do unto the house which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh.

I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brothers, even the whole offspring of Ephraim. And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

“ Therefore don’t pray for this people. Don’t lift up a cry or prayer for them or make intercession to me; for I will not hear you. Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me; for I will not hear thee.

Don’t you see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

Do they provoke me to anger?” says Yahweh. “Don’t they provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?”Do they provoke me to anger? saith Jehovah; do they not provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “ Behold, my anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, on man, on animal, on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and will not be quenched.”Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, mine anger and my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says: “ Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Add your burnt-offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat ye flesh.

For I didn’t speak to your fathers or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices; For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt-offerings or sacrifices:내가 너희 조상을 이집트 땅에서 인도해 내던 날, 번제물이나 희생제물에 관하여 그들에게 말하거나 명령하지 않았다.

but this thing I commanded them, saying, ‘ Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. Walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’but this thing I commanded them, saying, Hearken unto my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people; and walk ye in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.

But they didn’t listen or turn their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day, I have sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:너희 조상이 이집트 땅에서 나온 그날부터 오늘날까지, 내가 내 모든 종 곧 선지자들을 날마다 부지런히 일찍 일어나 너희에게 보냈으나,

Yet they didn’t listen to me or incline their ear, but made their neck stiff. They did worse than their fathers.yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff: they did worse than their fathers.

“ You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.And thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

You shall tell them, ‘ This is the nation that has not listened to Yahweh their God’s voice, nor received instruction. Truth has perished, and is cut off from their mouth.’And thou shalt say unto them, This is the nation that hath not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah their God, nor received instruction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

Cut off your hair, and throw it away, and take up a lamentation on the bare heights; for Yahweh has rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.Cut off thy hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on the bare heights; for Jehovah hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.

“ For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in my sight,” says Yahweh. “ They have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in my sight, saith Jehovah: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I didn’t command, nor did it come into my mind. And they have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded not, neither came it into my mind.

Therefore behold, the days come”, says Yahweh, “ that it will no more be called ‘ Topheth’ or ‘ The valley of the son of Hinnom’, but ‘ The valley of Slaughter’; for they will bury in Topheth until there is no place to bury. Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that it shall no more be called Topheth, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of Slaughter: for they shall bury in Topheth, till there be no place to bury.

The dead bodies of this people will be food for the birds of the sky, and for the animals of the earth. No one will frighten them away. And the dead bodies of this people shall be food for the birds of the heavens, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall frighten them away.

Then I will cause to cease from the cities of Judah and from the streets of Jerusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land will become a waste.”Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land shall become a waste.
