1 Then Yahweh said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!Then said Jehovah unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.그때 여호와께서 내게 말씀하셨다. "모세와 사무엘이 내 앞에 선다 해도, 내 마음은 이 백성을 향하지 않을 것이다. 그들을 내 눈앞에서 내쫓아 떠나가게 하여라.
2 It will happen when they ask you, ‘Where shall we go out?’ then you shall tell them, ‘ Yahweh says: “ Such as are for death, to death; such as are for the sword, to the sword; such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.”’And it shall come to pass, when they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith Jehovah: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.그들이 네게 '우리가 어디로 가야 합니까?'라고 묻거든, 너는 그들에게 이렇게 전하여라. 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. '죽을 자는 죽음으로, 칼을 받을 자는 칼로, 굶주릴 자는 굶주림으로, 사로잡힐 자는 포로로 가게 될 것이다.'
3 “ I will appoint over them four kinds,” says Yahweh: “ the sword to kill, the dogs to tear, the birds of the sky, and the animals of the earth, to devour and to destroy.And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith Jehovah: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and to destroy.내가 그들 위에 네 가지를 정하여 보내겠다. 여호와의 말씀이다. 죽이는 칼과, 찢는 개들과, 공중의 새들과, 땅의 짐승들을 보내어 삼키고 멸하게 하겠다.
4 I will cause them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.And I will cause them to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.유다 왕 히스기야의 아들 므낫세가 예루살렘에서 행한 일 때문에, 내가 그들을 땅의 모든 나라들 가운데로 이리저리 흩어 떠돌게 하겠다.
5 For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? Who will mourn you? Who will come to ask of your welfare?For who will have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who will bemoan thee? or who will turn aside to ask of thy welfare?예루살렘아, 누가 너를 불쌍히 여기겠느냐? 누가 너를 위해 슬퍼하겠느냐? 누가 발걸음을 돌려 너의 안부를 묻겠느냐?
6 You have rejected me,” says Yahweh. “ You have gone backward. Therefore I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you. I am weary of showing compassion.Thou hast rejected me, saith Jehovah, thou art gone backward: therefore have I stretched out my hand against thee, and destroyed thee; I am weary with repenting.너는 나를 버렸다. 여호와의 말씀이다. 너는 뒤로 물러갔다. 그러므로 내가 너를 향해 손을 뻗어 너를 멸하였다. 나는 마음을 돌이키는 일에 지쳤다.
7 I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land. I have bereaved them of children. I have destroyed my people. 8 Their widows are increased more than the sand of the seas. I have brought on them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday. I have caused anguish and terrors to fall on her suddenly.Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas; I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday: I have caused anguish and terrors to fall upon her suddenly.그들의 과부가 바다의 모래보다 많아졌다. 한낮에 내가 젊은이들의 어머니에게 멸망시키는 자를 보내었고, 갑작스럽게 고통과 두려움이 그 여인 위에 떨어지게 하였다.
9 She who has borne seven languishes. She has given up the spirit. Her sun has gone down while it was yet day. She has been disappointed and confounded. I will deliver their residue to the sword before their enemies,” says Yahweh.She that hath borne seven languisheth; she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day; she hath been put to shame and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith Jehovah.일곱 자녀를 낳은 여인이 쇠약해져 숨을 거두었다. 아직 대낮인데도 그 여인의 해가 졌고, 그 여인은 수치와 혼란에 빠졌다. 그리고 그들 가운데 남은 자들을 내가 원수들 앞에서 칼에 넘기겠다. 여호와의 말씀이다."
10 Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me, a man of strife, and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet every one of them curses me.Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet every one of them doth curse me.어머니여, 나에게 화가 있습니다. 어머니께서 나를 온 땅과 다투고 싸우는 사람으로 낳으셨군요! 나는 빌려준 적도 없고, 사람들이 내게 빌려준 적도 없는데, 그들 모두가 나를 저주합니다.
11 Yahweh said, “ Most certainly I will strengthen you for good. Most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.Jehovah said, Verily I will strengthen thee for good; verily I will cause the enemy to make supplication unto thee in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.여호와께서 말씀하셨다. "정녕 내가 너를 강하게 하여 복되게 하겠다. 정녕 내가 재앙의 때와 환난의 때에 원수가 네게 도움을 구하게 하겠다.
12 Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and bronze?Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and brass?누가 쇠를, 곧 북쪽에서 온 쇠와 놋을 꺾을 수 있겠느냐?
13 I will give your substance and your treasures for a plunder without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.Thy substance and thy treasures will I give for a spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.네 모든 죄 때문에, 네 모든 영토 안에서, 네 재산과 보물을 값없이 약탈물로 내어 주겠다.
14 I will make them to pass with your enemies into a land which you don’t know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which will burn on you.”And I will make them to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not; for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.내가 그것들을 네가 알지 못하는 땅으로 네 원수들과 함께 옮겨 가게 하겠다. 내 진노 가운데 불이 붙었으니, 그 불이 네 위에 타오를 것이다."
15 Yahweh, you know. Remember me, visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors. You are patient, so don’t take me away. Know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.O Jehovah, thou knowest; remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered reproach.여호와여, 주께서는 아십니다. 나를 기억하시고, 나를 돌보아 주시며, 나를 핍박하는 자들에게 나를 위해 보복해 주십시오. 주의 오래 참으심으로 나를 거두어 가지 마십시오. 주를 위하여 내가 모욕을 당한 것을 알아주십시오.
16 Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by your name, Yahweh, God of Armies.Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts.주의 말씀이 발견되어 내가 그것을 먹었습니다. 주의 말씀은 내게 기쁨이 되었고 내 마음의 즐거움이 되었습니다. 만군의 하나님 여호와여, 나는 주의 이름으로 불리는 자이기 때문입니다.
17 I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry and rejoice. I sat alone because of your hand, for you have filled me with indignation.I sat not in the assembly of them that make merry, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand; for thou hast filled me with indignation.나는 흥겨워하는 자들의 모임에 앉지도, 즐거워하지도 않았습니다. 주의 손이 내 위에 있어, 주께서 나를 분노로 가득 채우셨기에 나는 홀로 앉아 있었습니다.
18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you indeed be to me as a deceitful brook, like waters that fail?Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou indeed be unto me as a deceitful brook, as waters that fail?어찌하여 나의 고통은 끝이 없고, 나의 상처는 낫지 않아 치유되기를 거부합니까? 주께서 정녕 내게 속이는 시냇물처럼, 마르고 마는 물처럼 되시렵니까?
19 Therefore Yahweh says, “ If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.Therefore thus saith Jehovah, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, that thou mayest stand before me; and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: they shall return unto thee, but thou shalt not return unto them.그러므로 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "네가 돌아오면 내가 너를 다시 데려와 내 앞에 서게 하겠다. 네가 천한 것에서 귀한 것을 가려낸다면, 너는 내 입과 같이 될 것이다. 그들이 네게로 돌아올 것이나, 너는 그들에게로 돌아가지 말아라.
20 I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall. They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you,” says Yahweh.And I will make thee unto this people a fortified brazen wall; and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith Jehovah.내가 너를 이 백성에게 견고한 놋 성벽이 되게 하겠다. 그들이 너를 대적하여 싸우겠으나 너를 이기지 못할 것이다. 이는 내가 너와 함께하여 너를 구원하고 건져 내겠기 때문이다. 여호와의 말씀이다.
21 “ I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.”And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.내가 너를 악한 자들의 손에서 건져 내고, 포악한 자들의 손에서 너를 구속하겠다."
