1 Moreover Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still locked up in the court of the guard, saying,Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the guard, saying,예레미야가 아직 경비대 뜰에 갇혀 있을 때에 여호와의 말씀이 그에게 두 번째로 임하여 이르셨다.
2 “ Yahweh who does it, Yahweh who forms it to establish it — Yahweh is his name, says:Thus saith Jehovah that doeth it, Jehovah that formeth it to establish it; Jehovah is his name:일을 행하시는 여호와, 그것을 지어 굳게 세우시는 여호와, 그분의 이름은 여호와이시니 그분이 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
3 ‘ Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.’Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and will show thee great things, and difficult, which thou knowest not.나를 부르라. 그리하면 내가 네게 응답하고, 네가 알지 못하는 크고 어려운 일들을 네게 보여 주겠다.
4 For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says concerning the houses of this city and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defense against the mounds and against the sword:For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defence against the mounds and against the sword;이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이 성읍의 집들과 유다 왕들의 집들에 관하여 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 그것들은 토성과 칼을 막기 위한 방어막을 만들려고 헐린 것이다.
5 ‘ While men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have killed in my anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hidden my face from this city,while men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city:사람들이 바벨론 사람들과 싸우러 와서, 내가 진노와 분노로 죽인 사람들의 시체로 그 집들을 가득 채우려 하니, 이는 그들의 모든 악행 때문에 내가 이 성읍에서 내 얼굴을 가렸기 때문이다.
6 behold, I will bring it health and healing, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth.Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal unto them abundance of peace and truth.보라, 내가 이 성읍에 건강과 치유를 가져다 주고 그들을 고쳐 주겠으며, 그들에게 넘치는 평안과 진리를 드러내 주겠다.
7 I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Israel, and will build them as at the first.And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.내가 유다의 포로 된 자들과 이스라엘의 포로 된 자들을 돌아오게 하고, 그들을 처음과 같이 세워 주겠다.
8 I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against me. I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against me and by which they have transgressed against me.And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against me, and whereby they have transgressed against me.또 그들이 내게 범죄하여 더럽혀진 모든 죄악에서 그들을 깨끗하게 하고, 그들이 내게 범죄하고 거역한 모든 죄악을 용서해 주겠다.
9 This city will be to me for a name of joy, for praise, and for glory, before all the nations of the earth, which will hear all the good that I do to them, and will fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I provide to it.’”And this city shall be to me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure unto it.그러면 이 성읍은 내게 기쁨의 이름이 되고, 땅의 모든 나라 앞에서 찬송과 영광이 될 것이다. 그 나라들은 내가 이 백성에게 베푸는 모든 선한 일을 듣고, 내가 이 성읍에 베푸는 모든 선과 모든 평안 때문에 두려워하며 떨 것이다.
10 Yahweh says: “ Yet again there will be heard in this place, about which you say, ‘ It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,’Thus saith Jehovah: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, whereof ye say, It is waste, without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast,여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 너희가 황폐하여 사람도 짐승도 없다고 말하는 이곳, 곧 유다의 성읍들과 황폐하여 사람도 거민도 짐승도 없는 예루살렘의 거리에서 다시 소리가 들릴 것이다.
11 the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, ‘ Give thanks to Yahweh of Armies, for Yahweh is good, for his loving kindness endures forever;’ who bring thanksgiving into Yahweh’s house. For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed as at the first,” says Yahweh.the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that say, Give thanks to Jehovah of hosts, for Jehovah is good, for his lovingkindness endureth for ever; and of them that bring sacrifices of thanksgiving into the house of Jehovah. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, saith Jehovah.곧 기쁨의 소리와 즐거움의 소리, 신랑의 소리와 신부의 소리, 그리고 "만군의 여호와께 감사하라. 여호와는 선하시며 그분의 인자하심은 영원하다"라고 말하며 여호와의 집에 감사의 제물을 가져오는 자들의 소리가 들릴 것이다. 이는 내가 이 땅의 포로 된 자들을 처음과 같이 돌아오게 하겠기 때문이라고 여호와께서 말씀하셨다.
12 Yahweh of Armies says: “ Yet again there will be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.만군의 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 사람도 짐승도 없이 황폐한 이곳과 그 모든 성읍에서 다시 목자들이 양 떼를 누이는 거처가 생길 것이다.
13 In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the South, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of him who counts them,” says Yahweh.In the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks again pass under the hands of him that numbereth them, saith Jehovah.산지의 성읍들과 평지의 성읍들과 남방의 성읍들과 베냐민 땅과 예루살렘 주변과 유다의 성읍들에서, 양 떼가 다시 그것들을 세는 자의 손 아래로 지나갈 것이라고 여호와께서 말씀하셨다.
14 “ Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “ that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.보라, 날이 이르리니, 내가 이스라엘 집과 유다 집에 관하여 말한 그 선한 말씀을 이루겠다고 여호와께서 말씀하셨다.
15 “ In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. He will execute justice and righteousness in the land.In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.그날과 그때에 내가 다윗에게서 의로운 한 가지가 돋아나게 하겠으니, 그가 이 땅에 공의와 의를 행할 것이다.
16 In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell safely. This is the name by which she will be called: Yahweh our righteousness.”In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name whereby she shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.그날에 유다는 구원을 받고 예루살렘은 안전히 거할 것이며, 사람들이 그 성을 부를 이름은 이러하니 곧 "여호와는 우리의 의이시다"라고 부를 것이다.
17 For Yahweh says: “ David will never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.For thus saith Jehovah: David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 다윗에게는 이스라엘 집의 보좌에 앉을 사람이 끊어지지 아니할 것이며,
18 The Levitical priests won’t lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings, to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.”neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt-offerings, and to burn meal-offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.제사장 레위 사람에게도 내 앞에서 번제를 드리고 소제를 태우며 제사를 끊임없이 드릴 사람이 끊어지지 아니할 것이다.
19 Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,And the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah, saying,여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하여 이르셨다.
20 “ Yahweh says: ‘ If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time,Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season;여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 만일 너희가 낮에 대한 나의 언약과 밤에 대한 나의 언약을 깨뜨려서 낮과 밤이 그 정한 때에 있지 못하게 할 수 있다면,
21 then my covenant could also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levitical priests, my ministers.then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.그렇다면 내 종 다윗과 맺은 나의 언약도 깨뜨려져서 그가 그 보좌에 앉아 다스릴 아들을 두지 못하게 될 것이며, 나를 섬기는 제사장 레위 사람과 맺은 언약도 그러할 것이다.
22 As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.하늘의 군대를 셀 수 없고 바다의 모래를 측량할 수 없는 것처럼, 내가 내 종 다윗의 후손과 나를 섬기는 레위 사람을 그렇게 번성하게 하겠다.
23 Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying,여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하여 이르셨다.
24 “Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying, ‘ Has Yahweh cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Jehovah did choose, he hath cast them off? thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.이 백성이 "여호와께서 택하신 두 가문을 그분이 버리셨다"라고 말한 것을 네가 생각하지 못하느냐? 그들이 이처럼 내 백성을 멸시하여, 그들이 더 이상 그들 앞에서 한 나라가 되지 못하리라 여기는구나.
25 Yahweh says: “ If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth,Thus saith Jehovah: If my covenant of day and night stand not, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. 만일 낮과 밤에 대한 나의 언약이 굳게 서지 못한다면, 만일 내가 하늘과 땅의 규례를 정하지 아니하였다면,
26 then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them.그렇다면 내가 야곱과 내 종 다윗의 후손도 버려서, 그의 후손 가운데서 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 후손을 다스릴 자를 취하지 아니할 것이다. 그러나 내가 그들의 포로 된 자들을 돌아오게 하고 그들에게 긍휼을 베풀겠다.
