1 The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,The word which came unto Jeremiah from Jehovah in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,유다 왕 요시야의 아들 여호야김 시대에, 여호와께서 예레미야에게 말씀을 주시며 이르셨다.
2 “ Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak to them, and bring them into Yahweh’s house, into one of the rooms, and give them wine to drink.”Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of Jehovah, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink."레갑 사람들의 집에 가서 그들에게 말하고, 그들을 여호와의 성전 어느 한 방으로 데려와 마실 포도주를 주어라."
3 Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, with his brothers, all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;그래서 나는 하바시냐의 손자요 예레미야의 아들인 야아사냐와 그의 형제들과 그의 모든 아들들, 곧 레갑 사람들의 온 집안을 데려왔다.
4 and I brought them into Yahweh’s house, into the room of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was by the room of the princes, which was above the room of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the threshold.and I brought them into the house of Jehovah, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the threshold.내가 그들을 여호와의 성전으로, 곧 하나님의 사람 익다랴의 아들 하난의 아들들의 방으로 데려왔다. 그 방은 지도자들의 방 곁에 있었고, 문지기 살룸의 아들 마아세야의 방 위에 있었다.
5 I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites bowls full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, “ Drink wine!”And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites bowls full of wine, and cups; and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.내가 레갑 사람들의 집 자손들 앞에 포도주가 가득한 사발과 잔들을 차려 놓고 그들에게 말했다. "포도주를 마시십시오!"
6 But they said, “ We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, ‘ You shall drink no wine, neither you nor your children, forever.But they said, We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons, for ever:그러나 그들이 말했다. "우리는 포도주를 마시지 않습니다. 우리 조상 레갑의 아들 요나답이 우리에게 명령하여 이르기를 '너희와 너희 자손은 영원히 포도주를 마시지 말아라.
7 You shall not build a house, sow seed, plant a vineyard, or have any; but all your days you shall dwell in tents, that you may live many days in the land in which you live as nomads.’neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any; but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land wherein ye sojourn.또 집을 짓지도 말고, 씨를 뿌리지도 말고, 포도원을 심지도 말고, 그런 것을 소유하지도 말아라. 오직 평생 동안 장막에서 살아라. 그리하면 너희가 나그네로 사는 그 땅에서 오래도록 살게 될 것이다' 하였습니다.
8 We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, or our daughters;And we have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, or our daughters;우리는 우리 조상 레갑의 아들 요나답의 목소리에 순종하여, 그가 우리에게 명령한 모든 것을 따라, 우리와 우리 아내들과 우리 아들딸들이 평생 포도주를 마시지 않았습니다.
9 and not to build houses for ourselves to dwell in. We have no vineyard, field, or seed;nor to build houses for us to dwell in; neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed:또 우리가 살 집을 짓지도 않았고, 포도원이나 밭이나 씨를 가지지도 않았습니다.
10 but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.but we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.다만 장막에서 살며, 우리 조상 요나답이 우리에게 명령한 모든 것을 그대로 순종하여 행했습니다.
11 But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, we said, ‘ Come! Let’s go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians; so we will dwell at Jerusalem.’”But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians; so we dwell at Jerusalem.그런데 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 이 땅으로 쳐들어왔을 때, 우리가 말하기를 '오라, 갈대아 사람들의 군대와 시리아 사람들의 군대가 두려우니 예루살렘으로 가자' 하였습니다. 그래서 우리가 예루살렘에 살고 있는 것입니다."
12 Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,Then came the word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah, saying,그때에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하여 이르셨다.
13 “ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘ Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, “ Will you not receive instruction to listen to my words?” says Yahweh.Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Go, and say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith Jehovah."만군의 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 가서 유다 사람들과 예루살렘 주민들에게 말하여라. '너희가 내 말을 듣고 교훈을 받지 않겠느냐?' 여호와의 말씀이다.
14 “ The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab that he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed; and to this day they drink none, for they obey their father’s commandment; but I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking, and you have not listened to me.The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed; and unto this day they drink none, for they obey their father’s commandment. But I have spoken unto you, rising up early and speaking; and ye have not hearkened unto me.'레갑의 아들 요나답이 그 자손에게 포도주를 마시지 말라고 명령한 그 말은 지켜져서, 그들이 오늘까지 마시지 않으니, 그들이 조상의 명령에 순종하기 때문이다. 그러나 나는 너희에게 부지런히 일찍부터 말하였으되 너희는 내 말을 듣지 않았다.
15 I have sent also to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, ‘ Every one of you must return now from his evil way, amend your doings, and don’t go after other gods to serve them. Then you will dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers;’ but you have not inclined your ear, nor listened to me.I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.또 내가 너희에게 내 모든 종 선지자들을 부지런히 일찍부터 보내어 이르기를, 이제 너희는 각각 악한 길에서 돌이켜 너희 행실을 고치고, 다른 신들을 따라가 섬기지 말아라. 그리하면 내가 너희와 너희 조상에게 준 땅에서 살리라 하였으나, 너희는 귀를 기울이지도 않고 내 말을 듣지도 않았다.
16 The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father which he commanded them, but this people has not listened to me.”’Forasmuch as the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father which he commanded them, but this people hath not hearkened unto me;레갑의 아들 요나답의 자손은 그 조상이 명령한 것을 지켰으나, 이 백성은 내 말을 듣지 않았다.'
17 “ Therefore Yahweh, the God of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘ Behold, I will bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them, because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.’”therefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.그러므로 만군의 하나님이신 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. '보라, 내가 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 주민에게 내가 그들을 향하여 선포한 모든 재앙을 내리리니, 이는 내가 그들에게 말하였으나 그들이 듣지 않았고, 내가 그들을 불렀으나 그들이 대답하지 않았기 때문이다.'"
18 Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites, “ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘ Because you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according to all that he commanded you,’And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he commanded you;그리고 예레미야가 레갑 사람들의 집에 말했다. "만군의 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. '너희가 너희 조상 요나답의 명령에 순종하여, 그의 모든 교훈을 지키고, 그가 너희에게 명령한 모든 것을 그대로 행하였으니,
19 therefore Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘ Jonadab the son of Rechab will not lack a man to stand before me forever.’”therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.그러므로 만군의 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 레갑의 아들 요나답에게는 내 앞에 설 사람이 영원히 끊어지지 않으리라.'"
