1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,요시야의 아들 유다 왕 여호야김이 다스리기 시작할 무렵, 여호와께서 예레미야에게 이런 말씀을 주셨습니다.
2 Yahweh says to me: “ Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck.Thus saith Jehovah to me: Make thee bonds and bars, and put them upon thy neck;여호와께서 내게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. "너는 줄과 멍에 막대기를 만들어 네 목에 걸어라.
3 Then send them to the king of Edom, to the king of Moab, to the king of the children of Ammon, to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers that come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah:그리고 예루살렘으로 와서 유다 왕 시드기야를 만나는 사신들의 손에 들려, 에돔 왕과 모압 왕과 암몬 자손의 왕과 두로 왕과 시돈 왕에게 그것들을 보내라.
4 Give them a command to their masters, saying, ‘ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, “ You shall tell your masters:and give them a charge unto their masters, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Thus shall ye say unto your masters:너는 그들에게 자기 주인들에게 전할 명령을 주어 이렇게 말하게 하여라. '만군의 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 너희는 너희 주인들에게 이렇게 전하여라.
5 ‘ I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it unto whom it seemeth right unto me.나는 나의 큰 능력과 펼친 팔로 땅과 그 위에 있는 사람과 짐승을 만들었고, 내가 보기에 합당한 사람에게 그것을 준다.
6 Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. I have also given the animals of the field to him to serve him.And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field also have I given him to serve him.이제 내가 이 모든 땅을 내 종 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 손에 넘겨주었으며, 들짐승까지도 그에게 주어 그를 섬기게 하였다.
7 All the nations will serve him, his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings will make him their bondservant.And all the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondman.모든 민족이 그와 그의 아들과 그의 손자를 섬길 것이니, 그의 땅이 받을 때가 이르기까지 그러할 것이다. 그 후에는 많은 민족과 큰 왕들이 그를 종으로 부릴 것이다.
8 “‘“‘ It will happen that I will punish the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon,’ says Yahweh, ‘ with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.And it shall come to pass, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith Jehovah, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.바로 그 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살을 섬기지 않고 자기 목을 바벨론 왕의 멍에 아래에 두지 않는 민족과 나라가 있으면, 내가 그 민족을 칼과 기근과 전염병으로 벌하여 그의 손으로 그들을 다 멸할 때까지 그리하리라. 여호와의 말씀이다.
9 But as for you, don’t listen to your prophets, to your diviners, to your dreams, to your soothsayers, or to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, “ You shall not serve the king of Babylon;”But as for you, hearken ye not to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:그러므로 너희는 너희에게 너희가 바벨론 왕을 섬기지 않을 것이라고 말하는 너희 선지자나 점쟁이나 꿈꾸는 자나 술사나 마술사의 말을 듣지 말라.
10 for they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, so that I would drive you out, and you would perish.for they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.그들은 너희에게 거짓 예언을 하여 너희를 너희 땅에서 멀리 옮겨 가게 하고, 내가 너희를 쫓아내어 너희가 멸망하게 할 따름이다.
11 But the nation that brings their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serves him, that nation I will let remain in their own land,’ says Yahweh; ‘ and they will till it and dwell in it.’”’”But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that nation will I let remain in their own land, saith Jehovah; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.그러나 자기 목을 바벨론 왕의 멍에 아래에 두고 그를 섬기는 민족은, 내가 그 민족을 자기 땅에 머물게 하리니, 그들이 그 땅을 갈며 거기에 거주할 것이다. 여호와의 말씀이다.'"
12 I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, “Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.And I spake to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.나는 이 모든 말씀대로 유다 왕 시드기야에게도 일러 말하였습니다. "당신은 당신의 목을 바벨론 왕의 멍에 아래에 두고 그와 그의 백성을 섬기십시오. 그러면 살 것입니다.
13 Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Jehovah hath spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?어찌하여 당신과 당신의 백성이 칼과 기근과 전염병으로 죽으려 합니까? 여호와께서 바벨론 왕을 섬기지 않는 민족에 대하여 말씀하신 그대로입니다.
14 Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, ‘ You shall not serve the king of Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.And hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you.당신들에게 바벨론 왕을 섬기지 않을 것이라고 말하는 선지자들의 말을 듣지 마십시오. 그들은 당신들에게 거짓 예언을 하는 것입니다.
15 For I have not sent them,” says Yahweh, “ but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.”For I have not sent them, saith Jehovah, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that ye may perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.여호와의 말씀입니다. 내가 그들을 보내지 않았는데도 그들이 내 이름으로 거짓 예언을 하니, 결국 내가 너희를 쫓아내어 너희와 너희에게 예언하는 선지자들이 함께 멸망하게 되리라."
16 Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Yahweh says, “Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, ‘ Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house will now shortly be brought again from Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Jehovah’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you.또 나는 제사장들과 이 모든 백성에게 일러 말하였습니다. "여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하십니다. 여호와의 성전 기물들이 이제 곧 바벨론에서 다시 돌아올 것이라고 너희에게 예언하는 너희 선지자들의 말을 듣지 말라. 그들은 너희에게 거짓 예언을 하는 것이다.
17 Don’t listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why should this city become a desolation?Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city become a desolation?그들의 말을 듣지 말고 바벨론 왕을 섬기며 살라. 어찌하여 이 성읍이 폐허가 되어야 하겠느냐?
18 But if they are prophets, and if Yahweh’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in Yahweh’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.But if they be prophets, and if the word of Jehovah be with them, let them now make intercession to Jehovah of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.만일 그들이 참 선지자이고 여호와의 말씀이 그들에게 있다면, 여호와의 성전과 유다 왕궁과 예루살렘에 남아 있는 기물들이 바벨론으로 가지 않도록 이제 만군의 여호와께 간구하게 하라.
19 For Yahweh of Armies says concerning the pillars, concerning the sea, concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,For thus saith Jehovah of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city,만군의 여호와께서 기둥들과 큰 놋대야와 받침대들과 이 성읍에 남아 있는 그 밖의 기물들에 대하여 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
20 which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn’t take when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem —which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;이것들은 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 유다 왕 여호야김의 아들 여고냐와 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 귀족을 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 사로잡아 갈 때에 가져가지 않은 것들이다.
21 yes, Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says concerning the vessels that are left in Yahweh’s house, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:yea, thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:그렇다. 만군의 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 여호와의 성전과 유다 왕궁과 예루살렘에 남아 있는 기물들에 대하여 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
22 ‘ They will be carried to Babylon, and there they will be, until the day that I visit them,’ says Yahweh; ‘ then I will bring them up, and restore them to this place.’”They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I visit them, saith Jehovah; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.그것들이 바벨론으로 옮겨져 거기에 있다가, 내가 그것들을 돌볼 그날까지 그러할 것이다. 그 후에 내가 그것들을 다시 가져와 이곳으로 돌려놓으리라. 여호와의 말씀이다."
