1 Yahweh said, “ Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak this word there:Thus said Jehovah: Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "유다 왕의 궁으로 내려가서 거기서 이 말씀을 전하여라.
2 ‘ Hear Yahweh’s word, king of Judah, who sits on David’s throne — you, your servants, and your people who enter in by these gates.and say, Hear the word of Jehovah, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates.너는 이렇게 말하여라. '다윗의 보좌에 앉은 유다 왕이여, 당신과 당신의 신하들과 이 성문으로 드나드는 당신의 백성은 여호와의 말씀을 들으십시오.'
3 Yahweh says: “ Execute justice and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong. Do no violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Don’t shed innocent blood in this place.Thus saith Jehovah: Execute ye justice and righteousness, and deliver him that is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence, to the sojourner, the fatherless, nor the widow; neither shed innocent blood in this place.여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "너희는 정의와 의를 행하고, 강탈당한 사람을 억압하는 자의 손에서 건져 내며, 나그네와 고아와 과부에게 잘못이나 폭력을 행하지 말고, 이곳에서 죄 없는 피를 흘리지 마라.
4 For if you do this thing indeed, then kings sitting on David’s throne will enter in by the gates of this house, riding in chariots and on horses — they, their servants, and their people.For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.너희가 정말로 이 일을 행하면, 다윗의 보좌에 앉은 왕들이 병거와 말을 타고 그 자신과 신하들과 백성과 함께 이 궁의 성문으로 들어올 것이다.
5 But if you will not hear these words, I swear by myself,” says Yahweh, “ that this house will become a desolation.”’”But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith Jehovah, that this house shall become a desolation.그러나 너희가 이 말을 듣지 않으면, 내가 나를 두고 맹세하노니 이 궁이 폐허가 될 것이다." 여호와의 말씀이다.
6 For Yahweh says concerning the house of the king of Judah: “ You are Gilead to me, the head of Lebanon. Yet surely I will make you a wilderness, cities which are not inhabited.For thus saith Jehovah concerning the house of the king of Judah: Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon; yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.여호와께서 유다 왕의 궁에 대하여 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "너는 내게 길르앗 같고 레바논의 정상 같다. 그러나 내가 반드시 너를 광야로 만들어, 사람이 살지 않는 성읍들로 만들겠다.
7 I will prepare destroyers against you, everyone with his weapons, and they will cut down your choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons; and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.내가 너를 칠 파괴자들을 준비하리니, 저마다 무기를 들고 너의 아름다운 백향목을 베어 불에 던질 것이다.
8 “ Many nations will pass by this city, and they will each ask his neighbor, ‘ Why has Yahweh done this to this great city?’And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbor, Wherefore hath Jehovah done thus unto this great city?많은 민족이 이 성읍을 지나가며 저마다 그 이웃에게 '여호와께서 어찌하여 이 큰 성읍에 이렇게 하셨는가?' 하고 말할 것이다.
9 Then they will answer, ‘ Because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh their God, worshiped other gods, and served them.’”Then they shall answer, Because they forsook the covenant of Jehovah their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.그러면 그들이 대답하기를 '그들이 자기 하나님 여호와의 언약을 버리고 다른 신들을 섬기며 절했기 때문이다' 할 것이다."
10 Don’t weep for the dead. Don’t bemoan him; but weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he will return no more, and not see his native country.Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him; but weep sore for him that goeth away; for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.죽은 자를 위해 울지 말고 그를 위해 슬퍼하지 마라. 오히려 끌려가는 자를 위해 통곡하여라. 그는 다시 돌아오지 못하고 고향 땅을 보지 못할 것이다.
11 For Yahweh says touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went out of this place: “ He won’t return there any more.For thus saith Jehovah touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went forth out of this place: He shall not return thither any more;여호와께서 자기 아버지 요시야를 이어 유다 왕이 되었다가 이곳에서 떠나간 요시야의 아들 살룸에 대하여 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "그는 이곳으로 다시 돌아오지 못할 것이다.
12 But he will die in the place where they have led him captive. He will see this land no more.”but in the place whither they have led him captive, there shall he die, and he shall see this land no more.그가 사로잡혀 끌려간 그곳에서 죽을 것이며, 이 땅을 다시 보지 못할 것이다."
13 “ Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his rooms by injustice; who uses his neighbor’s service without wages, and doesn’t give him his hire;Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by injustice; that useth his neighbor’s service without wages, and giveth him not his hire;화 있을 것이다, 불의로 자기 집을 짓고 부정한 방법으로 다락방을 지으며, 이웃을 품삯도 없이 부려 먹고 그 일한 대가를 주지 않는 자에게!
14 who says, ‘ I will build myself a wide house and spacious rooms,’ and cuts out windows for himself, with a cedar ceiling, and painted with red.that saith, I will build me a wide house and spacious chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is ceiled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.그가 말하기를 '내가 나를 위해 넓은 집과 큰 다락방을 짓겠다' 하고는 창문을 내고 백향목으로 천장을 입히며 붉은 색칠을 한다.
15 “ Should you reign because you strive to excel in cedar? Didn’t your father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.Shalt thou reign, because thou strivest to excel in cedar? Did not thy father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? then it was well with him.네가 백향목으로 뛰어나려고 애쓴다고 해서 왕 노릇을 하겠느냐? 네 아버지가 먹고 마시며 정의와 의를 행하지 않았느냐? 그때에 그가 형통하였다.
16 He judged the cause of the poor and needy; so then it was well. Wasn’t this to know me?” says Yahweh.He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well. Was not this to know me? saith Jehovah.그가 가난한 자와 궁핍한 자의 사정을 옳게 판결하니 그때에 형통하였다. 이것이 곧 나를 아는 것이 아니냐?" 여호와의 말씀이다.
17 But your eyes and your heart are only for your covetousness, for shedding innocent blood, for oppression, and for doing violence.”But thine eyes and thy heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for shedding innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it."그러나 네 눈과 마음은 오직 탐욕과 죄 없는 피를 흘리는 것과 압제와 폭력을 행하는 데만 있구나."
18 Therefore Yahweh says concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah: “ They won’t lament for him, saying, ‘ Ah my brother!’ or, ‘ Ah sister!’ They won’t lament for him, saying ‘ Ah lord!’ or, ‘ Ah his glory!’Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah: they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! They shall not lament for him, saying Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!그러므로 여호와께서 요시야의 아들 유다 왕 여호야김에 대하여 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "사람들이 그를 위해 '아, 내 형제여!' 또는 '아, 내 자매여!' 하며 슬퍼하지 않을 것이며, '아, 주여!' 또는 '아, 그의 영화여!' 하며 슬퍼하지도 않을 것이다.
19 He will be buried with the burial of a donkey, drawn and cast out beyond the gates of Jerusalem.”He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.그는 나귀가 묻히듯 묻혀서, 끌려 나가 예루살렘 성문 밖에 던져질 것이다.
20 “ Go up to Lebanon, and cry out. Lift up your voice in Bashan, and cry from Abarim; for all your lovers have been destroyed.Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from Abarim; for all thy lovers are destroyed.레바논으로 올라가서 부르짖어라. 바산에서 네 목소리를 높여라. 아바림에서 부르짖어라. 너의 모든 연인이 멸망하였기 때문이다.
21 I spoke to you in your prosperity, but you said, ‘ I will not listen.’ This has been your way from your youth, that you didn’t obey my voice.I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.네가 형통할 때에 내가 네게 말하였으나 너는 '듣지 않겠다'고 하였다. 네 목소리에 순종하지 않는 것이 어려서부터 네가 해 온 방식이었다.
22 The wind will feed all your shepherds, and your lovers will go into captivity. Surely then you will be ashamed and confounded for all your wickedness.The wind shall feed all thy shepherds, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.바람이 네 모든 목자를 삼킬 것이며, 네 연인들은 포로로 끌려갈 것이다. 그때에 너는 네 모든 악으로 인해 반드시 부끄러움과 수치를 당할 것이다.
23 Inhabitant of Lebanon, who makes your nest in the cedars, how greatly to be pitied you will be when pangs come on you, the pain as of a woman in travail!O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how greatly to be pitied shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!백향목에 둥지를 트는 레바논의 주민아, 산고를 겪는 여인처럼 진통이 네게 닥칠 때 네가 얼마나 가련하게 되겠느냐!
24 “ As I live,” says Yahweh, “ though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet on my right hand, I would still pluck you from there.As I live, saith Jehovah, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;여호와의 말씀이다. "내가 살아 있는 한, 유다 왕 여호야김의 아들 고니야가 내 오른손의 인장 반지일지라도 내가 너를 거기서 빼내겠다.
25 I would give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of them of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.and I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them of whom thou art afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.내가 너를, 네 목숨을 찾는 자들의 손과 네가 두려워하는 자들의 손, 곧 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 손과 갈대아 사람들의 손에 넘겨주겠다.
26 I will cast you out with your mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born; and there you will die.And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.내가 너와, 너를 낳은 네 어머니를 너희가 태어나지 않은 다른 나라로 내쫓으리니, 너희가 거기서 죽을 것이다.
27 But to the land to which their soul longs to return, there they will not return.”But to the land whereunto their soul longeth to return, thither shall they not return.그들의 마음이 돌아오기를 간절히 바라는 땅으로 그들은 돌아오지 못할 것이다."
28 Is this man Coniah a despised broken vessel? Is he a vessel in which no one delights? Why are they cast out, he and his offspring, and cast into a land which they don’t know?Is this man Coniah a despised broken vessel? is he a vessel wherein none delighteth? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into the land which they know not?이 사람 고니야는 멸시받아 깨진 그릇이냐? 아무도 기뻐하지 않는 그릇이냐? 어찌하여 그와 그의 자손이 내쫓겨, 알지 못하는 땅으로 던져졌는가?
29 O earth, earth, earth, hear Yahweh’s word!O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of Jehovah.땅이여, 땅이여, 땅이여, 여호와의 말씀을 들어라.
30 Yahweh says, “ Record this man as childless, a man who will not prosper in his days; for no more will a man of his offspring prosper, sitting on David’s throne and ruling in Judah.”Thus saith Jehovah, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days; for no more shall a man of his seed prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling in Judah.여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "이 사람을 자식 없는 자로, 그 평생에 형통하지 못할 사람으로 기록하여라. 그의 자손 가운데 다윗의 보좌에 앉아 유다를 다스릴 사람이 다시는 없을 것이기 때문이다."
