1 When men began to multiply on the surface of the ground, and daughters were born to them,And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born unto them,사람이 땅 위에 번성하기 시작하고 그들에게서 딸들이 태어났을 때,
2 God’s sons saw that men’s daughters were beautiful, and they took any that they wanted for themselves as wives.that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose.하나님의 아들들이 사람의 딸들이 아름다운 것을 보고, 자기들이 고른 모든 여자를 아내로 삼았다.
3 Yahweh said, “ My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; so his days will be one hundred twenty years.”And Jehovah said, My Spirit shall not strive with man for ever, for that he also is flesh: yet shall his days be a hundred and twenty years.여호와께서 말씀하셨다. "내 영이 사람과 영원히 다투지는 않을 것이다. 그는 육체이기 때문이다. 그러므로 그의 날은 백이십 년이 될 것이다."
4 The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when God’s sons came in to men’s daughters and had children with them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.그 무렵 땅에는 네피림이 있었고, 그 후에도 하나님의 아들들이 사람의 딸들에게로 들어가 그들에게서 자식을 낳았을 때에도 있었다. 그들은 옛적의 용사들이요, 이름난 사람들이었다.
5 Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was continually only evil.And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.여호와께서 사람의 악이 땅 위에 가득한 것과, 그 마음으로 생각하는 모든 계획이 항상 악할 뿐인 것을 보셨다.
6 Yahweh was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.And it repented Jehovah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.여호와께서 땅 위에 사람을 지으신 것을 후회하시며, 마음으로 근심하셨다.
7 Yahweh said, “ I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground — man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky — for I am sorry that I have made them.”And Jehovah said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the ground; both man, and beast, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens; for it repenteth me that I have made them.여호와께서 말씀하셨다. "내가 창조한 사람을 땅 위에서 쓸어버리겠다. 사람뿐 아니라 짐승과 기는 것과 하늘의 새까지 그리하겠다. 내가 그들을 지은 것을 후회하기 때문이다."
8 But Noah found favor in Yahweh’s eyes.But Noah found favor in the eyes of Jehovah.그러나 노아는 여호와의 눈에 은혜를 입었다.
9 This is the history of the generations of Noah: Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God.These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, and perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God.이것은 노아의 족보이다. 노아는 의로운 사람이었고, 그 시대 사람들 가운데서 흠이 없었다. 노아는 하나님과 함께 걸었다.
10 Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.노아는 셈과 함과 야벳, 세 아들을 낳았다.
11 The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.그 땅은 하나님 앞에서 부패하였고, 땅은 폭력으로 가득 찼다.
12 God saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.하나님께서 그 땅을 보시니, 보라, 부패하였다. 모든 육체가 땅 위에서 그 길을 부패시켰기 때문이다.
13 God said to Noah, “ I will bring an end to all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them and the earth.And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.하나님께서 노아에게 말씀하셨다. "모든 육체의 끝이 내 앞에 이르렀다. 그들로 인해 땅이 폭력으로 가득 찼기 때문이다. 보라, 내가 그들을 땅과 함께 멸하겠다.
14 Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.너는 고페르 나무로 방주를 만들어라. 방주 안에 칸들을 만들고, 안팎을 역청으로 칠하여라.
15 This is how you shall make it. The length of the ship shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.And this is how thou shalt make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.너는 이렇게 그것을 만들어라. 방주의 길이는 삼백 규빗, 너비는 오십 규빗, 높이는 삼십 규빗으로 하여라.
16 You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.A light shalt thou make to the ark, and to a cubit shalt thou finish it upward; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.방주에 지붕을 만들고, 위로 한 규빗 되게 마무리하여라. 방주의 문은 그 옆쪽에 두어라. 아래층과 둘째 층과 셋째 층으로 만들어라.
17 I, even I, will bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is in the earth shall die.보라, 내가, 바로 내가 이 땅 위에 홍수를 일으켜 하늘 아래 생명의 숨이 있는 모든 육체를 멸하겠다. 땅에 있는 모든 것이 죽을 것이다.
18 But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ship, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.But I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.그러나 내가 너와는 내 언약을 세우겠다. 너는 방주 안으로 들어가라. 너와 네 아들들과 네 아내와 네 며느리들이 너와 함께 들어가라.
19 Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.모든 육체 가운데 살아 있는 모든 것을 종류대로 둘씩 방주 안으로 데리고 들어가, 너와 함께 살아남게 하여라. 그것들은 수컷과 암컷이어야 한다.
20 Of the birds after their kind, of the livestock after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort will come to you, to keep them alive.Of the birds after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.새들도 그 종류대로, 가축도 그 종류대로, 땅에 기는 모든 것도 그 종류대로, 각각 둘씩 너에게로 와서 살아남게 될 것이다.
21 Take with you some of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them.”And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.너는 먹을 수 있는 모든 양식을 가져다가 너에게 모아 두어라. 그것이 너와 그것들의 양식이 될 것이다."
22 Thus Noah did. He did all that God commanded him.Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.노아는 그렇게 하였다. 하나님께서 그에게 명하신 모든 것을 그대로 따라 행하였다.
