2 The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.땅은 형태가 없고 텅 비어 있었으며, 어둠이 깊은 물 위에 덮여 있었다. 그리고 하나님의 영이 그 물 위를 운행하고 계셨다.
3 God said, “ Let there be light,” and there was light.And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.하나님께서 "빛이 있으라" 하고 말씀하시니, 빛이 생겨났다.
4 God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.하나님께서 그 빛을 보시니 좋았다. 하나님께서 빛과 어둠을 나누셨다.
5 God called the light “ day”, and the darkness he called “ night”. There was evening and there was morning, the first day.And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.하나님께서 빛을 "낮"이라 부르시고, 어둠을 "밤"이라 부르셨다. 저녁이 되고 아침이 되니, 첫째 날이었다.
6 God said, “ Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.하나님께서 "물 한가운데 둥근 공간이 생겨, 물과 물을 나누어라" 하고 말씀하셨다.
7 God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.하나님께서 그 공간을 만드셔서, 그 공간 아래에 있는 물과 그 위에 있는 물을 나누시니, 그대로 되었다.
8 God called the expanse “ sky”. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.하나님께서 그 공간을 "하늘"이라 부르셨다. 저녁이 되고 아침이 되니, 둘째 날이었다.
9 God said, “ Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear;” and it was so.And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.하나님께서 "하늘 아래의 물은 한곳으로 모이고, 마른 땅이 드러나라" 하고 말씀하시니, 그대로 되었다.
10 God called the dry land “earth”, and the gathering together of the waters he called “ seas”. God saw that it was good.And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.하나님께서 마른 땅을 "땅"이라 부르시고, 모인 물을 "바다"라 부르셨다. 하나님께서 보시니 좋았다.
11 God said, “ Let the earth yield grass, herbs yielding seeds, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with their seeds in it, on the earth;” and it was so.And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so.하나님께서 "땅은 풀과, 씨 맺는 채소와, 그 종류대로 씨가 든 열매를 맺는 과일나무를 땅 위에 돋아나게 하라" 하고 말씀하시니, 그대로 되었다.
12 The earth yielded grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with their seeds in it, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good.땅이 풀과, 그 종류대로 씨 맺는 채소와, 그 종류대로 그 안에 씨가 든 열매를 맺는 나무를 돋아나게 하니, 하나님께서 보시니 좋았다.
13 There was evening and there was morning, a third day.And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.저녁이 되고 아침이 되니, 셋째 날이었다.
14 God said, “ Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs to mark seasons, days, and years;And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:하나님께서 "하늘의 공간에 빛들이 있어 낮과 밤을 나누고, 징조와 계절과 날과 해를 정하는 표가 되어라.
15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth;” and it was so.and let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.또 하늘의 공간에서 빛을 내어 땅을 비추어라" 하고 말씀하시니, 그대로 되었다.
16 God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He also made the stars.And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.하나님께서 두 큰 빛을 만드셔서, 큰 빛으로 낮을 다스리게 하시고, 작은 빛으로 밤을 다스리게 하셨다. 또한 별들도 만드셨다.
17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light to the earth,And God set them in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth,하나님께서 그 빛들을 하늘의 공간에 두어 땅을 비추게 하셨고,
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. God saw that it was good.and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.낮과 밤을 다스리며 빛과 어둠을 나누게 하셨다. 하나님께서 보시니 좋았다.
19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.저녁이 되고 아침이 되니, 넷째 날이었다.
20 God said, “ Let the waters abound with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the sky.”And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.하나님께서 "물은 생명체 떼로 가득하게 하고, 새들은 땅 위 하늘의 열린 공간에서 날아라" 하고 말씀하셨다.
21 God created the large sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. God saw that it was good.And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that moveth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good.하나님께서 큰 바다 생물들과, 물에서 떼지어 움직이는 모든 생명체를 그 종류대로, 또 날개 달린 모든 새를 그 종류대로 창조하셨다. 하나님께서 보시니 좋았다.
22 God blessed them, saying, “ Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.하나님께서 그것들에게 복을 주시며 말씀하셨다. "생육하고 번성하여 바닷물을 가득 채우고, 새들도 땅 위에서 번성하여라."
23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.저녁이 되고 아침이 되니, 다섯째 날이었다.
24 God said, “ Let the earth produce living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind;” and it was so.And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kind: and it was so.하나님께서 "땅은 생명체를 그 종류대로, 곧 가축과 기는 것과 땅의 짐승을 그 종류대로 내어라" 하고 말씀하시니, 그대로 되었다.
25 God made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. God saw that it was good.And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the ground after its kind: and God saw that it was good.하나님께서 땅의 짐승을 그 종류대로, 가축을 그 종류대로, 땅에 기는 모든 것을 그 종류대로 만드셨다. 하나님께서 보시니 좋았다.
26 God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.하나님께서 말씀하셨다. "우리가 우리의 형상을 따라, 우리의 모양대로 사람을 만들자. 그래서 그들이 바다의 물고기와 하늘의 새와 가축과 온 땅과 땅에 기는 모든 것을 다스리게 하자."
27 God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.하나님께서 자기 형상대로 사람을 창조하셨다. 하나님의 형상대로 그를 창조하시되, 남자와 여자로 그들을 창조하셨다.
28 God blessed them. God said to them, “ Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”And God blessed them: and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.하나님께서 그들에게 복을 주셨다. 하나님께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "생육하고 번성하여 땅을 가득 채우고, 땅을 정복하여라. 바다의 물고기와 하늘의 새와 땅 위에서 움직이는 모든 생물을 다스려라."
29 God said, “ Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food.And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food:하나님께서 말씀하셨다. "보아라, 내가 온 땅 위에 있는 씨 맺는 모든 채소와 씨 맺는 열매를 내는 모든 나무를 너희에게 준다. 이것이 너희의 먹을거리가 될 것이다.
30 To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food;” and it was so.and to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the heavens, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for food: and it was so.또 땅의 모든 짐승과 하늘의 모든 새와 땅에 기는 모든 것, 곧 생명이 있는 모든 것에게는 모든 푸른 채소를 먹을거리로 준다" 하시니, 그대로 되었다.
31 God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.하나님께서 자기가 만드신 모든 것을 보시니, 보라, 심히 좋았다. 저녁이 되고 아침이 되니, 여섯째 날이었다.
