Genesis 31장

Jacob heard Laban’s sons’ words, saying, “ Jacob has taken away all that was our father’s. He has obtained all this wealth from that which was our father’s.”And he heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father’s; and of that which was our father’s hath he gotten all this glory.

Jacob saw the expression on Laban’s face, and, behold, it was not toward him as before. And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as beforetime.

Yahweh said to Jacob, “ Return to the land of your fathers, and to your relatives, and I will be with you.”And Jehovah said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.

Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field to his flock,And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock,

and said to them, “ I see the expression on your father’s face, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father has been with me.and said unto them, I see your father’s countenance, that it is not toward me as beforetime; but the God of my father hath been with me.

You know that I have served your father with all of my strength. And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.

Your father has deceived me, and changed my wages ten times, but God didn’t allow him to hurt me.And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.

If he said, ‘ The speckled will be your wages,’ then all the flock bore speckled. If he said, ‘ The streaked will be your wages,’ then all the flock bore streaked. If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the flock bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstreaked shall be thy wages; then bare all the flock ringstreaked.

Thus God has taken away your father’s livestock, and given them to me.Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.

During mating season, I lifted up my eyes, and saw in a dream, and behold, the male goats which leaped on the flock were streaked, speckled, and grizzled. And it came to pass at the time that the flock conceive, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the he-goats which leaped upon the flock were ringstreaked, speckled, and grizzled.

The angel of God said to me in the dream, ‘ Jacob,’ and I said, ‘ Here I am.’And the angel of God said unto me in the dream, Jacob: and I said, Here am I.그때 꿈속에서 하나님의 천사가 내게 '야곱아' 하고 불렀고, 나는 '제가 여기 있습니다' 하고 대답했소.

He said, ‘ Now lift up your eyes, and behold, all the male goats which leap on the flock are streaked, speckled, and grizzled, for I have seen all that Laban does to you.And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see: all the he-goats which leap upon the flock are ringstreaked, speckled, and grizzled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.

I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar, where you vowed a vow to me. Now arise, get out from this land, and return to the land of your birth.’”I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointedst a pillar, where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy nativity.

Rachel and Leah answered him, “ Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father’s house? And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father’s house?

Aren’t we considered as foreigners by him? For he has sold us, and has also used up our money. Are we not accounted by him as foreigners? for he hath sold us, and hath also quite devoured our money.

For all the riches which God has taken away from our father are ours and our children’s. Now then, whatever God has said to you, do.”For all the riches which God hath taken away from our father, that is ours and our children’s: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.

Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives on the camels,Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon the camels;

and he took away all his livestock, and all his possessions which he had gathered, including the livestock which he had gained in Paddan Aram, to go to Isaac his father, to the land of Canaan.and he carried away all his cattle, and all his substance which he had gathered, the cattle of his getting, which he had gathered in Paddan-aram, to go to Isaac his father unto the land of Canaan.

Now Laban had gone to shear his sheep; and Rachel stole the teraphim that were her father’s.Now Laban was gone to shear his sheep: and Rachel stole the teraphim that were her father’s.

Jacob deceived Laban the Syrian, in that he didn’t tell him that he was running away. And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.

So he fled with all that he had. He rose up, passed over the River, and set his face toward the mountain of Gilead. So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the River, and set his face toward the mountain of Gilead.

Laban was told on the third day that Jacob had fled. And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled.

He took his relatives with him, and pursued him seven days’ journey. He overtook him in the mountain of Gilead. And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days’ journey; and he overtook him in the mountain of Gilead.

God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream of the night, and said to him, “ Be careful that you don’t speak to Jacob either good or bad.”And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream of the night, and said unto him, Take heed to thyself that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

Laban caught up with Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mountain, and Laban with his relatives encamped in the mountain of Gilead. And Laban came up with Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mountain: and Laban with his brethren encamped in the mountain of Gilead.

Laban said to Jacob, “ What have you done, that you have deceived me, and carried away my daughters like captives of the sword? And Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters as captives of the sword?

Why did you flee secretly, and deceive me, and didn’t tell me, that I might have sent you away with mirth and with songs, with tambourine and with harp;Wherefore didst thou flee secretly, and steal away from me, and didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth and with songs, with tabret and with harp;어찌하여 몰래 도망치고 나를 속였느냐?

and didn’t allow me to kiss my sons and my daughters? Now you have done foolishly.and didst not suffer me to kiss my sons and my daughters? now hast thou done foolishly.

It is in the power of my hand to hurt you, but the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying, ‘ Be careful that you don’t speak to Jacob either good or bad.’It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take heed to thyself that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

Now, you want to be gone, because you greatly longed for your father’s house, but why have you stolen my gods?”And now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father’s house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?

Jacob answered Laban, “ Because I was afraid, for I said, ‘ Lest you should take your daughters from me by force.’And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Lest thou shouldest take thy daughters from me by force.

Anyone you find your gods with shall not live. Before our relatives, discern what is yours with me, and take it.” For Jacob didn’t know that Rachel had stolen them. With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, he shall not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.

Laban went into Jacob’s tent, into Leah’s tent, and into the tent of the two female servants; but he didn’t find them. He went out of Leah’s tent, and entered into Rachel’s tent. And Laban went into Jacob’s tent, and into Leah’s tent, and into the tent of the two maid-servants; but he found them not. And he went out of Leah’s tent, and entered into Rachel’s tent.

Now Rachel had taken the teraphim, put them in the camel’s saddle, and sat on them. Laban felt around all the tent, but didn’t find them. Now Rachel had taken the teraphim, and put them in the camel’s saddle, and sat upon them. And Laban felt about all the tent, but found them not.

She said to her father, “Don’t let my lord be angry that I can’t rise up before you; for I’m having my period.” He searched, but didn’t find the teraphim. And she said to her father, Let not my lord be angry that I cannot rise up before thee; for the manner of women is upon me. And he searched, but found not the teraphim.

Jacob was angry, and argued with Laban. Jacob answered Laban, “ What is my trespass? What is my sin, that you have hotly pursued me?And Jacob was wroth, and chode with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast hotly pursued after me?

Now that you have felt around in all my stuff, what have you found of all your household stuff? Set it here before my relatives and your relatives, that they may judge between us two.Whereas thou hast felt about all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household stuff? Set it here before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us two.

“ These twenty years I have been with you. Your ewes and your female goats have not cast their young, and I haven’t eaten the rams of your flocks. These twenty years have I been with thee; thy ewes and thy she-goats have not cast their young, and the rams of thy flocks have I not eaten.

That which was torn of animals, I didn’t bring to you. I bore its loss. Of my hand you required it, whether stolen by day or stolen by night. That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto thee; I bare the loss of it; of my hand didst thou require it, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.

This was my situation: in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep fled from my eyes. Thus I was; in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep fled from mine eyes.

These twenty years I have been in your house. I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your flock, and you have changed my wages ten times. These twenty years have I been in thy house; I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy flock: and thou hast changed my wages ten times.

Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night.”Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now hadst thou sent me away empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.

Laban answered Jacob, “ The daughters are my daughters, the children are my children, the flocks are my flocks, and all that you see is mine! What can I do today to these my daughters, or to their children whom they have borne? And Laban answered and said unto Jacob, The daughters are my daughters, and the children are my children, and the flocks are my flocks, and all that thou seest is mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or unto their children whom they have borne?

Now come, let’s make a covenant, you and I. Let it be for a witness between me and you.”And now come, let us make a covenant, I and thou; and let it be for a witness between me and thee.

Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar. And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar.

Jacob said to his relatives, “ Gather stones.” They took stones, and made a heap. They ate there by the heap. And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made a heap: and they did eat there by the heap.

Laban called it Jegar Sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed. And Laban called it Jegar-saha-dutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.

Laban said, “ This heap is witness between me and you today.” Therefore it was named GaleedAnd Laban said, This heap is witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed:라반이 말했습니다.

and Mizpah, for he said, “ Yahweh watch between me and you, when we are absent one from another.and Mizpah, for he said, Jehovah watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.

If you afflict my daughters, or if you take wives in addition to my daughters, no man is with us; behold, God is witness between me and you.”If thou shalt afflict my daughters, and if thou shalt take wives besides my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness betwixt me and thee.

Laban said to Jacob, “ See this heap, and see the pillar, which I have set between me and you.And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold the pillar, which I have set betwixt me and thee.

May this heap be a witness, and the pillar be a witness, that I will not pass over this heap to you, and that you will not pass over this heap and this pillar to me, for harm. This heap be witness, and the pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.

The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us.” Then Jacob swore by the fear of his father, Isaac. The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the Fear of his father Isaac.

Jacob offered a sacrifice in the mountain, and called his relatives to eat bread. They ate bread, and stayed all night in the mountain. And Jacob offered a sacrifice in the mountain, and called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the mountain.

Early in the morning, Laban rose up, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them. Laban departed and returned to his place. And early in the morning Laban rose up, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them: and Laban departed, and returned unto his place.
