1 The famine was severe in the land.And the famine was sore in the land.그 땅에 기근이 심했습니다.
2 When they had eaten up the grain which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said to them, “ Go again, buy us a little more food.”And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the grain which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said unto them, Go again, buy us a little food.그들이 이집트에서 가져온 곡식을 다 먹어 버렸을 때, 그들의 아버지가 그들에게 말했습니다. 3 Judah spoke to him, saying, “ The man solemnly warned us, saying, ‘ You shall not see my face, unless your brother is with you.’And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.유다가 그에게 말했습니다. 6 Israel said, “ Why did you treat me so badly, telling the man that you had another brother?”And Israel said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the man whether ye had yet a brother?이스라엘이 말했습니다. "어찌하여 너희가 그 사람에게 너희에게 또 다른 동생이 있다고 말하여 나를 이렇게 괴롭게 하였느냐?"
7 They said, “ The man asked directly concerning ourselves, and concerning our relatives, saying, ‘ Is your father still alive? Have you another brother?’ We just answered his questions. Is there any way we could know that he would say, ‘ Bring your brother down’?”And they said, The man asked straitly concerning ourselves, and concerning our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye another brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we in any wise know that he would say, Bring your brother down?그들이 말했습니다. 8 Judah said to Israel, his father, “ Send the boy with me, and we’ll get up and go, so that we may live, and not die, both we, and you, and also our little ones.And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, and also our little ones.유다가 그의 아버지 이스라엘에게 말했습니다. If I don’t bring him to you, and set him before you, then let me bear the blame forever;I will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever:제가 그를 위해 보증이 되겠습니다. 아버지께서 제 손에서 그를 찾으십시오. 만일 제가 그를 아버지께 데려와 아버지 앞에 세우지 못하면, 제가 영원히 그 허물을 짊어지겠습니다.

11 Their father, Israel, said to them, “ If it must be so, then do this: Take from the choice fruits of the land in your bags, and carry down a present for the man, a little balm, a little honey, spices and myrrh, nuts, and almonds;And their father Israel said unto them, If it be so now, do this: take of the choice fruits of the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spicery and myrrh, nuts, and almonds;그들의 아버지 이스라엘이 그들에게 말했습니다. 12 and take double money in your hand, and take back the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks. Perhaps it was an oversight.and take double money in your hand; and the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks carry again in your hand; peradventure it was an oversight:그리고 너희 손에 돈을 두 배로 가져가거라. 너희 자루 입구에 되돌려져 있던 그 돈도 너희 손에 다시 가져가거라. 어쩌면 그것은 착오였을 것이다.
13 Take your brother also, get up, and return to the man.take also your brother, and arise, go again unto the man:너희 동생도 데리고 일어나, 그 사람에게 다시 가거라.
14 May God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may release to you your other brother and Benjamin. 18 The men were afraid, because they were brought to Joseph’s house; and they said, “ Because of the money that was returned in our sacks the first time, we’re brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, attack us, and seize us as slaves, along with our donkeys.”And the men were afraid, because they were brought to Joseph’s house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.그 사람들은 요셉의 집으로 끌려가게 되자 두려워하며 말했습니다. 21 When we came to the lodging place, we opened our sacks, and behold, each man’s money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight. 23 He said, “ Peace be to you. Don’t be afraid. Your God, and the God of your father, has given you treasure in your sacks. I received your money.” He brought Simeon out to them.And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. 24 The man brought the men into Joseph’s house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet. 28 They said, “ Your servant, our father, is well. He is still alive.” They bowed down humbly.And they said, Thy servant our father is well, he is yet alive. And they bowed the head, and made obeisance.그들이 말했습니다. "주의 종, 우리 아버지는 평안하시며, 아직 살아 계십니다." 그러고는 머리를 숙여 절했습니다.
29 He lifted up his eyes, and saw Benjamin, his brother, his mother’s son, and said, “ Is this your youngest brother, of whom you spoke to me?” He said, “God be gracious to you, my son.”And he lifted up his eyes, and saw Benjamin his brother, his mother’s son, and said, Is this your youngest brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be gracious unto thee, my son.그가 눈을 들어 자기 어머니의 아들인 동생 베냐민을 보고 말했습니다. "이 아이가 너희가 내게 말한 너희 막내 동생이냐?" 그가 말했습니다. "내 아들아, 하나님께서 네게 은혜를 베푸시기를 바란다."
30 Joseph hurried, for his heart yearned over his brother; and he sought a place to weep. He entered into his room, and wept there.And Joseph made haste; for his heart yearned over his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there.요셉은 동생을 보고 마음이 북받쳐 올라 급히 울 곳을 찾았습니다. 그는 자기 방으로 들어가 거기서 울었습니다.

32 They served him by himself, and them by themselves, and the Egyptians who ate with him by themselves, because the Egyptians don’t eat with the Hebrews, for that is an abomination to the Egyptians.And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, that did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.그들은 요셉에게는 따로, 그 형제들에게는 따로, 그와 함께 먹는 이집트 사람들에게도 따로 차렸습니다. 이집트 사람들은 히브리 사람들과 함께 음식을 먹지 않았기 때문입니다. 그것은 이집트 사람들에게 가증한 일이었습니다.

34 He sent portions to them from before him, but Benjamin’s portion was five times as much as any of theirs. They drank, and were merry with him.And he took and sent messes unto them from before him: but Benjamin’s mess was five times so much as any of theirs.
