Job 5장

“ Call now; is there any who will answer you? To which of the holy ones will you turn?Call now; is there any that will answer thee? And to which of the holy ones wilt thou turn?

For resentment kills the foolish man, and jealousy kills the simple. For vexation killeth the foolish man, And jealousy slayeth the silly one.

I have seen the foolish taking root, but suddenly I cursed his habitation.I have seen the foolish taking root: But suddenly I cursed his habitation.

His children are far from safety. They are crushed in the gate. Neither is there any to deliver them,His children are far from safety, And they are crushed in the gate, Neither is there any to deliver them:그의 자식들은 안전에서 멀어져, 성문 앞에서 짓밟히고, 그들을 건져 줄 자도 없다.

whose harvest the hungry eat up, and take it even out of the thorns. The snare gapes for their substance.Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, And taketh it even out of the thorns; And the snare gapeth for their substance.

For affliction doesn’t come out of the dust, neither does trouble spring out of the ground; For affliction cometh not forth from the dust, Neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;재난은 흙에서 솟아나는 것이 아니며, 고난도 땅에서 돋아나는 것이 아니다.

but man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upward. But man is born unto trouble, As the sparks fly upward.

“But as for me, I would seek God. I would commit my cause to God,But as for me, I would seek unto God, And unto God would I commit my cause;그러나 나라면 하나님을 찾고, 내 사정을 하나님께 맡기겠다.

who does great things that can’t be fathomed, marvelous things without number;Who doeth great things and unsearchable, Marvellous things without number:그분은 헤아릴 수 없는 큰 일을 행하시며, 셀 수 없이 놀라운 일을 행하신다.

who gives rain on the earth, and sends waters on the fields;Who giveth rain upon the earth, And sendeth waters upon the fields;그분은 땅 위에 비를 내리시고, 들판에 물을 보내신다.

so that he sets up on high those who are low, those who mourn are exalted to safety. So that he setteth up on high those that are low, And those that mourn are exalted to safety.

He frustrates the plans of the crafty, so that their hands can’t perform their enterprise. He frustrateth the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.

He takes the wise in their own craftiness; the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong. He taketh the wise in their own craftiness; And the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong.

They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope at noonday as in the night. They meet with darkness in the day-time, And grope at noonday as in the night.

But he saves from the sword of their mouth, even the needy from the hand of the mighty. But he saveth from the sword of their mouth, Even the needy from the hand of the mighty.

So the poor has hope, and injustice shuts her mouth. So the poor hath hope, And iniquity stoppeth her mouth.

“ Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: Therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty.

For he wounds and binds up. He injures and his hands make whole. For he maketh sore, and bindeth up; He woundeth, and his hands make whole.

He will deliver you in six troubles; yes, in seven no evil will touch you.He will deliver thee in six troubles; Yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

In famine he will redeem you from death; in war, from the power of the sword. In famine he will redeem thee from death; And in war from the power of the sword.

You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, neither will you be afraid of destruction when it comes.Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue; Neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.

You will laugh at destruction and famine, neither will you be afraid of the animals of the earth. At destruction and dearth thou shalt laugh; Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

For you will be allied with the stones of the field. The animals of the field will be at peace with you.For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field; And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

You will know that your tent is in peace. You will visit your fold, and will miss nothing. And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace; And thou shalt visit thy fold, and shalt miss nothing.

You will know also that your offspring will be great, your offspring as the grass of the earth.Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, And thine offspring as the grass of the earth.

You will come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in its season.Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, Like as a shock of grain cometh in in its season.

Behold, we have researched it. It is so. Hear it, and know it for your good.”Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; Hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
