1 “Yes, at this my heart trembles, and is moved out of its place.Yea, at this my heart trembleth, And is moved out of its place.그렇습니다. 이것 때문에 내 마음이 떨리며 제자리에서 튀어나올 것만 같습니다.
2 Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out of his mouth.Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, And the sound that goeth out of his mouth.그분의 음성이 내는 소리를, 그분의 입에서 나오는 그 울림을 잘 들으십시오.
3 He sends it out under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.He sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, And his lightning unto the ends of the earth.그분은 그 소리를 온 하늘 아래로 보내시고, 그분의 번개를 땅끝까지 이르게 하십니다.
4 After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn’t hold back anything when his voice is heard.After it a voice roareth; He thundereth with the voice of his majesty; And he restraineth not the lightnings when his voice is heard.그 뒤를 따라 음성이 울려 퍼지고, 그분은 그분의 위엄찬 음성으로 천둥 치십니다. 그분의 음성이 들릴 때 그분은 아무것도 멈추지 않으십니다.
5 God thunders marvelously with his voice. He does great things, which we can’t comprehend.God thundereth marvellously with his voice; Great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.하나님은 그분의 음성으로 놀랍게 천둥 치시며, 우리가 헤아릴 수 없는 큰일을 행하십니다.
6 For he says to the snow, ‘ Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.For he saith to the snow, Fall thou on the earth; Likewise to the shower of rain, And to the showers of his mighty rain.그분이 눈을 향해 "땅에 내려라" 하시고, 비를 향해, 또 그분의 거센 소나기를 향해도 그렇게 하십니다.
7 He seals up the hand of every man, that all men whom he has made may know it.He sealeth up the hand of every man, That all men whom he hath made may know it.그분은 모든 사람의 손을 묶으셔서, 그분이 지으신 모든 사람이 그분의 일을 알게 하십니다.
8 Then the animals take cover, and remain in their dens.Then the beasts go into coverts, And remain in their dens.그러면 짐승들은 몸을 숨기고 자기 굴 속에 머물러 있습니다.
9 Out of its room comes the storm, and cold out of the north.Out of the chamber of the south cometh the storm, And cold out of the north.폭풍은 그 처소에서 나오고, 추위는 북쪽에서 옵니다.
10 By the breath of God, ice is given, and the width of the waters is frozen.By the breath of God ice is given; And the breadth of the waters is straitened.하나님의 입김으로 얼음이 얼고, 넓은 물도 꽁꽁 얼어붙습니다.
11 Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.Yea, he ladeth the thick cloud with moisture; He spreadeth abroad the cloud of his lightning:또한 그분은 두꺼운 구름에 물기를 가득 채우시고, 번개를 품은 구름을 널리 펼치십니다.
12 It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world,And it is turned round about by his guidance, That they may do whatsoever he commandeth them Upon the face of the habitable world,그 구름은 그분의 인도하심을 따라 돌고 돌면서, 사람이 사는 온 땅 위에서 그분이 명하시는 것은 무엇이든 행합니다.
13 whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.Whether it be for correction, or for his land, Or for lovingkindness, that he cause it to come.그것이 징계를 위한 것이든, 그분의 땅을 위한 것이든, 또는 인자하심을 위한 것이든, 그분이 그것을 내려 주십니다.
14 “Listen to this, Job. Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.Hearken unto this, O Job: Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God."욥이여, 이것에 귀를 기울이십시오. 가만히 서서 하나님의 놀라운 일들을 깊이 생각해 보십시오.
15 Do you know how God controls them, and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine?Dost thou know how God layeth his charge upon them, And causeth the lightning of his cloud to shine?하나님이 그것들을 어떻게 다스리시는지, 그분의 구름에서 번개가 어떻게 빛나게 하시는지 당신은 아십니까?
16 Do you know the workings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, The wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?지식이 완전하신 분의 놀라운 일인 저 구름이 어떻게 떠 있는지 당신은 아십니까?
17 You whose clothing is warm when the earth is still by reason of the south wind?How thy garments are warm, When the earth is still by reason of the south wind?남풍으로 땅이 고요할 때, 당신은 어찌하여 옷이 따뜻해지는지 아십니까?
18 Can you, with him, spread out the sky, which is strong as a cast metal mirror?Canst thou with him spread out the sky, Which is strong as a molten mirror?당신이 그분과 함께 저 하늘을, 부어 만든 거울처럼 단단한 저 하늘을 펼칠 수 있습니까?
19 Teach us what we will tell him, for we can’t make our case by reason of darkness.Teach us what we shall say unto him; For we cannot set our speech in order by reason of darkness.우리가 그분께 무엇을 아뢰어야 할지 우리에게 가르쳐 주십시오. 우리는 어두워서 우리의 변론을 펼 수가 없습니다.
20 Will it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?Shall it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?내가 말하고 싶다는 것을 그분께 아뢰어야겠습니까? 사람이 삼켜지기를 바랄 수 있겠습니까?
21 Now men don’t see the light which is bright in the skies, but the wind passes, and clears them.And now men see not the light which is bright in the skies; But the wind passeth, and cleareth them.이제 사람들은 하늘에 밝게 빛나는 빛을 보지 못합니다. 그러나 바람이 지나가면 하늘이 맑아집니다.
22 Out of the north comes golden splendor. With God is awesome majesty.Out of the north cometh golden splendor: God hath upon him terrible majesty.북쪽에서 금빛 광채가 나옵니다. 하나님께는 경외할 위엄이 있습니다.
23 We can’t reach the Almighty. He is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress.Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: He is excellent in power; And in justice and plenteous righteousness he will not afflict.우리는 전능자께 다다를 수 없습니다. 그분은 능력에서 높이 들리신 분이십니다. 공의와 넘치는 의로 그분은 학대하지 않으십니다.
24 Therefore men revere him. He doesn’t regard any who are wise of heart.”Men do therefore fear him: He regardeth not any that are wise of heart.그러므로 사람들은 그분을 경외합니다. 그분은 스스로 마음에 지혜롭다 하는 자들을 인정하지 않으십니다."
