1 Moreover Yahweh answered Job,Moreover Jehovah answered Job, and said,여호와께서 다시 욥에게 대답하여 말씀하셨다.
2 “Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.”Shall he that cavilleth contend with the Almighty? He that argueth with God, let him answer it.“전능자와 다투려는 자가 그분을 책망하겠느냐? 하나님과 논쟁하는 자는 이에 대답해 보아라.”
3 Then Job answered Yahweh,Then Job answered Jehovah, and said,그러자 욥이 여호와께 대답하여 말하였다.
4 “ Behold, I am of small account. What will I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer thee? I lay my hand upon my mouth.“보십시오, 저는 보잘것없는 자입니다. 제가 주께 무엇이라 대답하겠습니까? 저는 손으로 제 입을 막을 뿐입니다.
5 I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; Yea, twice, but I will proceed no further.제가 한 번 말하였으나 다시는 대답하지 않겠습니다. 두 번이나 말하였으니 더는 나아가지 않겠습니다.”
6 Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind:Then Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,그때 여호와께서 회오리바람 가운데서 욥에게 대답하여 말씀하셨다.
7 “ Now brace yourself like a man. I will question you, and you will answer me.Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.“이제 대장부답게 허리를 동여매어라. 내가 네게 물을 것이니 너는 내게 대답하여라.
8 Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?Wilt thou even annul my judgment? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be justified?네가 정녕 내 공의를 무효로 하려느냐? 네 자신이 의롭다 함을 얻으려고 나를 정죄하려느냐?
9 Or do you have an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him?Or hast thou an arm like God? And canst thou thunder with a voice like him?너에게 하나님과 같은 팔이 있느냐? 너도 그분처럼 우렁찬 음성으로 천둥을 울릴 수 있느냐?
10 “ Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. Array yourself with honor and majesty.Deck thyself now with excellency and dignity; And array thyself with honor and majesty.이제 너 자신을 위엄과 존귀로 꾸미고, 영광과 존엄으로 두르고 나서 보아라.
11 Pour out the fury of your anger. Look at everyone who is proud, and bring him low.Pour forth the overflowings of thine anger; And look upon every one that is proud, and abase him.네 진노의 맹렬함을 쏟아부어라. 교만한 자마다 살펴보고 그를 낮추어라.
12 Look at everyone who is proud, and humble him. Crush the wicked in their place.Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; And tread down the wicked where they stand.교만한 자마다 살펴 그를 낮추고, 악한 자들을 그 자리에서 짓밟아라.
13 Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden place.Hide them in the dust together; Bind their faces in the hidden place.그들을 함께 흙 속에 감추고, 그들의 얼굴을 은밀한 곳에 묶어 두어라.
14 Then I will also admit to you that your own right hand can save you.Then will I also confess of thee That thine own right hand can save thee.그리하면 나도 네게 인정하리니, 네 오른손이 너를 능히 구원할 수 있다 하리라.
15 “ See now behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox.Behold now, behemoth, which I made as well as thee; He eateth grass as an ox.자, 이제 베헤못을 보아라. 내가 너를 지은 것같이 그것도 지었으니, 그것은 소처럼 풀을 먹는다.
16 Look now, his strength is in his thighs. His force is in the muscles of his belly.Lo now, his strength is in his loins, And his force is in the muscles of his belly.보아라, 그 힘은 그 허리에 있고, 그 위력은 그 배의 근육에 있다.
17 He moves his tail like a cedar. The sinews of his thighs are knit together.He moveth his tail like a cedar: The sinews of his thighs are knit together.그것은 백향목같이 그 꼬리를 움직이며, 그 넓적다리의 힘줄은 서로 단단히 얽혀 있다.
18 His bones are like tubes of bronze. His limbs are like bars of iron.His bones are as tubes of brass; His limbs are like bars of iron.그 뼈는 놋쇠 관과 같고, 그 다리는 쇠막대기와 같다.
19 He is the chief of the ways of God. He who made him gives him his sword.He is the chief of the ways of God: He only that made him giveth him his sword.그것은 하나님께서 지으신 것 가운데 으뜸이니, 그것을 지으신 분만이 그에게 칼을 가까이하실 수 있다.
20 Surely the mountains produce food for him, where all the animals of the field play.Surely the mountains bring him forth food, Where all the beasts of the field do play.산들이 진정 그것을 위하여 먹이를 내며, 거기서 모든 들짐승이 뛰논다.
21 He lies under the lotus trees, in the covert of the reed, and the marsh.He lieth under the lotus-trees, In the covert of the reed, and the fen.그것은 연꽃나무 아래, 갈대와 늪의 은밀한 곳에 누워 있다.
22 The lotuses cover him with their shade. The willows of the brook surround him.The lotus-trees cover him with their shade; The willows of the brook compass him about.연꽃나무들이 그늘로 그것을 덮고, 시냇가의 버드나무들이 그것을 에워싼다.
23 Behold, if a river overflows, he doesn’t tremble. He is confident, though the Jordan swells even to his mouth.Behold, if a river overflow, he trembleth not; He is confident, though a Jordan swell even to his mouth.보아라, 강물이 넘쳐도 그것은 떨지 않으며, 요단강이 그 입까지 불어나도 태연하다.
24 Shall any take him when he is on the watch, or pierce through his nose with a snare?Shall any take him when he is on the watch, Or pierce through his nose with a snare?그것이 경계하고 있을 때 누가 그것을 잡을 수 있겠으며, 누가 덫으로 그 코를 꿸 수 있겠느냐?
