1 Then Job answered,Then Job answered and said,그러자 욥이 대답하였다.
2 “ How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!How hast thou helped him that is without power! How hast thou saved the arm that hath no strength!"당신은 힘없는 자를 어떻게 도왔습니까! 기력 없는 팔을 어떻게 구원하였습니까!
3 How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom, And plentifully declared sound knowledge!지혜 없는 자에게 어떻게 조언하였으며, 건전한 지식을 어떻게 그토록 풍성히 펼쳐 보였습니까!
4 To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came out of you?To whom hast thou uttered words? And whose spirit came forth from thee?당신은 누구에게 그런 말을 하였습니까? 누구의 영이 당신에게서 나왔습니까?
5 “ The departed spirits tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.They that are deceased tremble Beneath the waters and the inhabitants thereof.죽은 자들이 떨고, 물 아래 있는 자들과 그 안에 사는 모든 것이 떱니다.
6 Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.Sheol is naked before God, And Abaddon hath no covering.스올이 하나님 앞에 벌거벗었고, 아바돈도 가릴 것이 없습니다.
7 He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.He stretcheth out the north over empty space, And hangeth the earth upon nothing.그분은 북쪽 하늘을 빈 공간 위에 펴시고, 땅을 아무것도 없는 곳에 매다십니다.
8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; And the cloud is not rent under them.그분은 짙은 구름 속에 물을 묶어 두시나, 그 무게에도 구름이 터지지 않습니다.
9 He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.He incloseth the face of his throne, And spreadeth his cloud upon it.그분은 자기 보좌의 얼굴을 가리시고, 그 위에 구름을 펼쳐 놓으십니다.
10 He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.He hath described a boundary upon the face of the waters, Unto the confines of light and darkness.그분은 물 위에 경계를 그어 놓으셨으니, 빛과 어둠이 갈라지는 끝까지 이르게 하셨습니다.
11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.The pillars of heaven tremble And are astonished at his rebuke.하늘의 기둥들이 떨며, 그분의 꾸짖음에 놀랍니다.
12 He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.He stirreth up the sea with his power, And by his understanding he smiteth through Rahab.그분은 자기 능력으로 바다를 일으키시고, 그 명철로 라합을 쳐서 부수십니다.
13 By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.By his Spirit the heavens are garnished; His hand hath pierced the swift serpent.그분의 영으로 하늘이 단장되고, 그분의 손은 날쌘 뱀을 꿰뚫으셨습니다.
14 Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”Lo, these are but the outskirts of his ways: And how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?보십시오, 이것들은 그분이 행하시는 길의 가장자리에 불과합니다. 우리가 그분에 대하여 듣는 것은 얼마나 작은 속삭임입니까! 그러나 그분의 능력의 우렛소리를 누가 깨달을 수 있겠습니까?"
