1 Moses answered, “ But, behold, they will not believe me, nor listen to my voice; for they will say, ‘ Yahweh has not appeared to you.’”And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice; for they will say, Jehovah hath not appeared unto thee.모세가 대답하였다. "그런데 보십시오, 그들은 저를 믿지 않을 것이고 제 말도 듣지 않을 것입니다. '여호와께서 너에게 나타나지 않으셨다'라고 말할 것입니다."
2 Yahweh said to him, “ What is that in your hand?” He said, “ A rod.”And Jehovah said unto him, What is that in thy hand? And he said, A rod.여호와께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "네 손에 있는 그것이 무엇이냐?" 그가 대답하였다. "지팡이입니다."
3 He said, “ Throw it on the ground.” He threw it on the ground, and it became a snake; and Moses ran away from it.And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.여호와께서 말씀하셨다. "그것을 땅에 던져라." 그가 그것을 땅에 던지니 그것이 뱀이 되었고, 모세는 그것을 피하여 달아났다.
4 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Stretch out your hand, and take it by the tail.” He stretched out his hand, and took hold of it, and it became a rod in his hand.And Jehovah said unto Moses, Put forth thy hand, and take it by the tail: ( and he put forth his hand, and laid hold of it, and it became a rod in his hand );여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "네 손을 내밀어 그 꼬리를 잡아라." 그가 손을 내밀어 그것을 붙잡으니, 그것이 그의 손에서 다시 지팡이가 되었다.
5 “ This is so that they may believe that Yahweh, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”that they may believe that Jehovah, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee."이는 그들의 조상의 하나님, 곧 아브라함의 하나님, 이삭의 하나님, 야곱의 하나님이신 여호와께서 너에게 나타나셨음을 그들이 믿게 하려는 것이다."
6 Yahweh said furthermore to him, “ Now put your hand inside your cloak.” He put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow.And Jehovah said furthermore unto him, Put now thy hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow.여호와께서 또 그에게 말씀하셨다. "이제 네 손을 품에 넣어라." 그가 손을 품에 넣었다가 꺼내니, 보라, 그의 손이 나병에 걸려 눈처럼 희게 되었다.
7 He said, “ Put your hand inside your cloak again.” He put his hand inside his cloak again, and when he took it out of his cloak, behold, it had turned again as his other flesh.And he said, Put thy hand into thy bosom again. ( And he put his hand into his bosom again; and when he took it out of his bosom, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.)여호와께서 말씀하셨다. "네 손을 다시 품에 넣어라." 그가 손을 다시 품에 넣었다가 품에서 꺼내니, 보라, 그것이 다시 그의 다른 살처럼 회복되었다.
8 “ It will happen, if they will not believe you or listen to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign."그들이 너를 믿지 않고 첫 번째 표징의 소리를 듣지 않더라도, 그들은 나중 표징의 소리는 믿게 될 것이다.
9 It will happen, if they will not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it on the dry land. The water which you take out of the river will become blood on the dry land.”And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe even these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.그들이 이 두 가지 표징도 믿지 않고 네 말도 듣지 않거든, 너는 강물을 떠다가 마른 땅에 부어라. 네가 강에서 떠 온 그 물이 마른 땅에서 피가 될 것이다."
10 Moses said to Yahweh, “ O Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before now, nor since you have spoken to your servant; for I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.”And Moses said unto Jehovah, Oh, Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant; for I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.모세가 여호와께 아뢰었다. "오, 주님, 저는 말을 잘하는 사람이 아닙니다. 전에도 그러했고 주께서 주의 종에게 말씀하신 이후로도 그러합니다. 저는 입이 둔하고 혀가 무딘 사람입니다."
11 Yahweh said to him, “ Who made man’s mouth? Or who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Isn’t it I, Yahweh?And Jehovah said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh a man dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? is it not I, Jehovah?여호와께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "누가 사람의 입을 지었느냐? 누가 사람을 말 못 하게 하고, 듣지 못하게 하고, 보게 하고, 보지 못하게 하느냐? 바로 나 여호와가 아니냐?
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak.”Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt speak.그러니 이제 가라. 내가 네 입과 함께하여 네가 무엇을 말해야 할지 가르쳐 주겠다."
13 Moses said, “ Oh, Lord, please send someone else.”And he said, Oh, Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.그러나 그가 아뢰었다. "오, 주님, 부디 다른 사람을 보내 주십시오."
14 Yahweh’s anger burned against Moses, and he said, “ What about Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Also, behold, he is coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is there not Aaron thy brother the Levite? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.여호와께서 모세에게 진노하시며 말씀하셨다. "네 형 레위 사람 아론이 있지 않으냐? 나는 그가 말을 잘하는 줄을 안다. 보라, 그가 너를 맞으러 나오고 있으며, 너를 보면 마음으로 기뻐할 것이다.
15 You shall speak to him, and put the words in his mouth. I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you shall do.And thou shalt speak unto him, and put the words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.너는 그에게 말하고 그의 입에 할 말을 넣어 주어라. 내가 네 입과 그의 입과 함께하여, 너희가 행할 일을 가르쳐 주겠다.
16 He will be your spokesman to the people. It will happen that he will be to you a mouth, and you will be to him as God.And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people; and it shall come to pass, that he shall be to thee a mouth, and thou shalt be to him as God.그가 너를 대신하여 백성에게 말할 것이다. 그가 너에게는 입이 되고, 너는 그에게 하나님처럼 될 것이다.
17 You shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.”And thou shalt take in thy hand this rod, wherewith thou shalt do the signs.너는 이 지팡이를 네 손에 잡아라. 너는 그것으로 표징들을 행할 것이다."
18 Moses went and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said to him, “ Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Egypt, and see whether they are still alive.” Jethro said to Moses, “ Go in peace.”And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren that are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.모세가 그의 장인 이드로에게 돌아가 그에게 말하였다. "제가 이집트에 있는 제 형제들에게 돌아가서 그들이 아직 살아 있는지 보게 해 주십시오." 이드로가 모세에게 말하였다. "평안히 가게."
19 Yahweh said to Moses in Midian, “ Go, return into Egypt; for all the men who sought your life are dead.”And Jehovah said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt; for all the men are dead that sought thy life.여호와께서 미디안에서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "이집트로 돌아가거라. 네 목숨을 노리던 사람들이 모두 죽었다."
20 Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them on a donkey, and he returned to the land of Egypt. Moses took God’s rod in his hand.And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.모세가 자기 아내와 아들들을 데리고 나귀에 태우고 이집트 땅으로 돌아갔다. 모세는 하나님의 지팡이를 손에 잡았다.
21 Yahweh said to Moses, “ When you go back into Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your hand, but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.And Jehovah said unto Moses, When thou goest back into Egypt, see that thou do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in thy hand: but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "네가 이집트로 돌아가거든, 내가 네 손에 맡긴 모든 이적을 파라오 앞에서 행하여라. 그러나 나는 그의 마음을 완악하게 하여, 그가 백성을 보내지 않게 할 것이다.
22 You shall tell Pharaoh, ‘ Yahweh says, Israel is my son, my firstborn,And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith Jehovah, Israel is my son, my first-born:너는 파라오에게 말하여라. '여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 이스라엘은 내 아들, 내 맏아들이다.
23 and I have said to you, “ Let my son go, that he may serve me;” and you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will kill your firstborn son.’”and I have said unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me; and thou hast refused to let him go: behold, I will slay thy son, thy first-born.내가 너에게 이르기를 내 아들을 보내어 그가 나를 섬기게 하라 하였으나, 너는 그를 보내기를 거부하였다. 보라, 내가 네 아들, 네 맏아들을 죽일 것이다.'"
24 On the way at a lodging place, Yahweh met Moses and wanted to kill him.And it came to pass on the way at the lodging-place, that Jehovah met him, and sought to kill him.길을 가던 중 어느 숙소에서 여호와께서 모세를 만나, 그를 죽이려 하셨다.
25 Then Zipporah took a flint, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet; and she said, “ Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me.”Then Zipporah took a flint, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet; and she said, Surely a bridegroom of blood art thou to me.그때 십보라가 부싯돌을 가져다가 자기 아들의 포피를 베어 그의 발 앞에 던지며 말하였다. "당신은 참으로 나에게 피의 신랑입니다."
26 So he let him alone. Then she said, “ You are a bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.So he let him alone. Then she said, A bridegroom of blood art thou, because of the circumcision.그러자 여호와께서 그를 놓아주셨다. 그때 그녀가 말하였다. "당신은 피의 신랑입니다." 이는 할례 때문에 한 말이었다.
27 Yahweh said to Aaron, “ Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” He went, and met him on God’s mountain, and kissed him.And Jehovah said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mountain of God, and kissed him.여호와께서 아론에게 말씀하셨다. "광야로 가서 모세를 맞이하여라." 그가 가서 하나님의 산에서 모세를 만나 그에게 입을 맞추었다.
28 Moses told Aaron all Yahweh’s words with which he had sent him, and all the signs with which he had instructed him.And Moses told Aaron all the words of Jehovah wherewith he had sent him, and all the signs wherewith he had charged him.모세는 여호와께서 자기를 보내시며 하신 모든 말씀과, 자기에게 명하신 모든 표징을 아론에게 일러 주었다.
29 Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel.And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel:모세와 아론이 가서 이스라엘 자손의 모든 장로를 함께 모았다.
30 Aaron spoke all the words which Yahweh had spoken to Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.and Aaron spake all the words which Jehovah had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.아론이 여호와께서 모세에게 하신 모든 말씀을 전하고, 백성이 보는 앞에서 그 표징들을 행하였다.
31 The people believed, and when they heard that Yahweh had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.And the people believed: and when they heard that Jehovah had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.백성이 믿었다. 그들은 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손을 돌보시고 그들의 고통을 보셨다는 것을 듣고, 머리를 숙여 경배하였다.
